Well said! This movie was and is one of the best and most fun movies of All-Time. The characters are perfectly casted, the town is done extremely well, and the monsters are done with the same reverance that Jaws did, Alien did, etc. This is a 10/10 movie beginning to end.

The original and the second I could watch every day and never get sick of them. Kevin Bacon's the man but its always Burt and Earl that I find myself quoting.
      Especially Tremors 2
Earl: "It's a whole new ball game... *whole new goddamn ball game!* "
Burt: "Well, I dropped the first wave with semi-auto fire, *but they just kept on coming!* Sheer luck most of them were in front of the truck, so I just popped it into six-wheel and *ran 'em down!*
The ones that got on board I handled with a combination of small arms fire and *hand-to-hand* technique! "

One of my favorite memories is sitting with my grandma one night, and randomly deciding to watch Tremors together. She had never seen it, really didn't watch any "scary" movies at all, ever. Ultimately, she watched it because she likes Kevin Bacon.
She thought it was basically the best movie she'd ever seen. She laughed, she gasped, she startled, she got all into it. "No! The pogo stick is gonna make the monsters eat the little girl!? HOW CAN THIS BE IN A MOVIE?" Then a couple minutes later "OH THANK YOU JESUS FOR SAVING THAT LITTLE GIRL!"
I always liked Tremors, but that memory makes it one of my favorites.

Huge thanks to the Cast and Crew for making this iconic movie!!! I was maybe 7, 8 years old when I first watched. Was immediately infatuated with the film. We had a movie rental place by my house back then called Video Update. They had a Tuesday special, 5 movies for 5 days, for 5 dollars. Once I discovered Tremors, I grabbed it each week we went to the store. After a year of that, my mom bought me my own copy on VHS for Christmas! I still have it! It doesn’t play well after all the use, but I still have it. (Much love mom, I know money was tight back then.)

Tremors has stood the test of time of being a great “low” budget genre flick.
It’s a good example of problem solving on the set, unlike today when everything can be “fixed” in post by using CG.
It also benefited greatly from coinciding with the explosion of home tape rentals as well as cable tv being in more homes and the need for programming to fill up airtime.
It’s a movie I’ll usually watch every time I see it listed on tv, or at least dvr it and watch it the next day.
A true classic of its type of film.

I think it had a top notch pacing rarely seen in small budget films that normally has padding, making them a bore to rewatch. Tremors is paced like back to the future, or Jurassic Park. They also got the tone just right, a true 7 - 77 horor movie.

I have to say watching the movie in the Museum of Western Film History with the cast and crew was the single best movie going experience on my life. Michael Gross was 10 feet away sitting on the floor and Ivo Cristante was in the seat in front of me. The commentary was priceless. What a great bunch of people. I was a kid when I first saw Tremors. It was an instant classic.
When I saw Tremors 2, I was sad that Kevin Bacon was gone but Micheal Gross started to take more place brilliantly.
And Tremors 3 made it clear that Burt Gummer was now the main character of the franchise
After Tremors 4, I was sure that it was over. So, i did many rewatch but I did not look for more movies.
And many years later, to my great surprise, I learned that there was not only a fifth but a sixth movie!!
I watched them back to back. And I rewatched them a couple of times too.
And now, in 10 days, there will be a seventh movie. So don't try to reach me on october 20 evening. All my notifications will be off. My phone will be off. I'll be watching that all new Tremors movie!

And two years ago I stumbled across Lone Pine on a road trip (I'm from Europe) and decided to visit the fantastic movie museum there. And I had no idea Tremors had been filmed in the area. So imagine my surprise when I heard they had one of the original graboid animatronics. I was like a kid in a candy store that day. Imagine stumbling on that piece of movie history entirely by chance - for one of your favorite movies of all time!
