You gotta do this next, it explains the production czcams.com/video/AYwCZqzrmaQ/video.html
The music video was shot in Los Angeles
I've seen them live. One of the best shows I've ever seen.
35 years later the beats are still next level.
Top tier🔥🔥
@@StaxReacts This track dropped 4 years before the Internet was invented
@@mattphillips538 cool theory but Paul's Boutique was released in '89. Internet (TCP/IP) was established in '83, well before 1993.
Paul's Boutique is however one of the best!
@@wfinch1138 Fine. This track dropped 2 years before there were any web pages.
@@wfinch1138 You're technically right, TCP/IP was indeed established earlier (and the word "internet" had been used in other, more generic contexts even long before that, going back to the telegraph), but the World Wide Web was invented in 1989 (same year this came out), opened to the public in 1990, and the Web protocol went royalty free in 1993. So while the Internet existed in some form earlier, 1993 is a significant year for the birth of what we now know as the Internet. It was kind of a process, but you're technically right.
I love the way you love the Beastie Boys. People can't understand how dope that crew was. Paul's Boutique took us all by surprise back then.
They’re amazing 🙏🏽❤️
Pauls Boutique is probably my favourite Beasties album ... it's got to be their best rapping
They were notorious during this era for spending all their money on "toys" be it ping pong tables or home cinema projectors or macked out Lincoln Continentals... and then you see Mike D playing a Sega Genesis (!) It's the only thing that really DATES the album!
🙏🏽🔥🔥
also the greatest sample album of all time. Literally influenced congressional policy so that it can never be attempted again
Definitely a true American dream story, three Jewish kids from NYC. Running in any circles they wanted to. Partied hard in the beginning, then rested on music diversity. And talent.
Blessing🙏🏽
Integrity & art, and a desire to have fun.
I used to think Beastie Boys were just frat-rap-rock just from the heavy rotation "Fight for Your Right" got on MTV. It's only in the last few years I've come to appreciate just how ground breaking, nay, earth shattering they were. I just feel lucky I got to the point where I appreciate the sheer craft on display.
They are magicians 🙏🏽
I was one of those frat-guys in 86-87 who only knew Licensed To Ill, wasn't until later that I found this.
"I got the peg leg at the end 'a my stump-ah.....shake your rump-ah" RIP MCA
RIP🐐❤️
Album was produced by a duo known as The Dust Brothers. Everything they produced is worth checking out at least once. Just be aware another band now known as The Chemical Brothers released several works as The Dust Brothers before signing to a US label and having to change their name so if you find something that feels like it doesn't fit it's probably them.
Okay bet I’ll check them out, thank you for the recs
Fight Club soundtrack from the Dust Bros too. Hot.
This came out in summer of 1989. And right before the 80s ended (same year), The Humpty Dance came out. Hell of a way to end the decade.
Amazing 🙏🏽
You’re taking me down memory lane! I had my oldest daughter the year this was released. She’ll be 35 this year. My generation was the last great generation for amazing music! IMHO. Keep up the great work!!
That is awesome!
The beats and production on this track are just so dynamic. You just want to move your whole body, not just your head. Party music.
Check out Public Enemy's "Black Steel In The Hour Of Chaos"
Betttt adding it to the list
Just to let you know, the produce at the end of the video represents that this is fresh
🔥🔥🔥
Public Enemy: Rebel without a pause.
Betttt
"I'm like Sam the butcher bringin' Alice the MEAT"
B-Boys slipping in a naughty little innuendo about the nice lady from The Brady Bunch.
So wrong. So RIGHT.
🙏🏽🙏🏽‼️
Still waiting for Fight for your Right (to Party) and Hey Ladies, these 2 tracks took over the 90s or a bit. Love from Canada for the reactions keep them coming.
Trying to get to them brother, thanks for the love🙏🏽
80's
So funky, so groovy, so good and again so much great musicianship, it never get's boring. Again great sounds and production
Glad you enjoy it!
One of my favourite BB videos because you can see the other members acting to the other cameras , just a brilliant idea.
🚀🚀🚀
This is the best example of an almost infinite B-Boys playlist.. I was 18 when this broke and was like 🤯🤯. I wish I could hear these bangers for the first time again. Glad the next generation can appreciate their genius.
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
The way this song switches up, often, is like a small sample of the entire album (Paul's Boutique). That whole album is like a complex symphony of rap. The song at the end "b‐boy bouillabaisse" is a like a 12 minute album in itself...it has at least 6 songs: a variety of styles and vibes, in the one song.
🔥🔥🔥I did a reaction to it already
Blastin beastie boys in the Walkman skating to school, boys were epic. They fuckin hay day of rap, then and the next 15 years so dope.
Love from 🇨🇦
That was the hay day of rap
My opinion
😎😎❤️❤️
One odd instrument I heard they use, and may be what you were talking about in the background, was a Fast Food to-go cup and straw, moving the straw up and down... you know the sound. The cup was prolly a White Castle.
I had white castles once and it slapped🔥🔥 that’s crazy talent
McDonalds straw my friend, they used a different plastic for them in the 80s
@@mensabooty You know what, I knew that, forgot about that. Thanks man. Yeah the straw thing is so cool. Once you know what it is you can not unhear it.
BB was probably the most creative band in hip hop... there was no limit to these guys...organic hip hop
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🔥
Look up Ricky Powell, He's the Andy Warhol of NYC. If you see the fish-eyed lens on BB videos. It's Ricky Powell. One of the best photographers in NYC. He lived in my hood. A pleasure to meet him. He did sure shot..One of my favorites. I'll try finding all the samples BB used on this song
This is filmed in LA. They were on the run from their label that just dropped them.
‼️‼️🐐
This is their first album after leaving Def Jam. They signed with Capital and moved to Los Angeles. Check out the video for Hey Ladies and it’s clearly California
Wowww thank you so much
Such a great album
Right🔥🔥‼️‼️
Mix Master Mike will always be my fave member of The Beasties...
🙏🙏🙏🙏
Keep the Beasties coming - Great video Stax!!!
Thank you so much
You should check out the song they did with Nas “Too Many Rappers” 👍
Coming very soon
One of the mount rushmore bands of hip hop. Never mad a bad song.
🔥🙏🏽
This song is everything awesome!
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
The best album of all time.
2nd Album my favorite, I've listenned to the cassette tape so many time and the album flows so well together.
'Looking Down the Barrel of a Gun' from that album is also a must listen
Bettt
This song contains 13 different song samples…..amazing ❤
That’s literally insane 🔥🔥
I always assumed they shot this video on the roof of the Capitol Records building because they were in the same clothes during the Paul's Boutique release party, which was also on the roof of the Capitol Records building lol But who even knows with these guys
Amazing thanks for the indo
These guys are the best, such a banger. You should do a reaction to their song "The Move" or "Professor Booty" get ready for some bass.
Love the bass, will bring it very soon
Hey Stax, I thought I'd drop off another suggestion for the BB, if interested. "Beastie Boys - (You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party) (Official Music Video)" (by the channel: Beastie Boys) --This song was released as their fourth single from their debut album called "License To III" and was released in 1986. The song was written by Adam Yauch and band friend, Tom "Tommy" "Triphammer" Cushman. This album was the first rap LP to ever top the billboard album charts, and Rolling Stone counts it as one of the best albums ever made. As always I enjoyed rocking with you and thanks for sharing.
Yes mam I think I’ll do a full album reaction live to License to III. Thank you for supporting me
@@StaxReacts If you react to "Fight for Your Right To Party" video, you should follow it up with the half hour short film/video of "Fight for Your Right To Party (Revisited)". It's hilarious and filled with great cameos.
Sweeeet! Thanks for keeping on with the boys.
No problem🙏🏽
Life is good. I celebrate with you the good times. I love the beats too.
Likewise brother🙏🏽❤️
Right on man! You did it!!!!!!!
Thank you so much 🙏🏽❤️‼️
PIAD in FULL! Head of there time!
🔥🔥🙏🏽
Dude, all I can think of is the John Mayer Dave Chappelle/Roots skit on different cultures reacting to music you should react to it. anyone who knows.. you know. "You're not gonna do that to me, the guitar and the drums..." LOL
I love your reactions!
Thank you for saying that, made my day 🙏🏽😊
Gotta check out Pass the Mic next 😎
Oh it’s coming
The reason the Beastie's didn't care what others thought is they were blazin the trail everyone else was playin catch up. There might have been some rappers that were as clean and sick, but not also with those sick tracks and beats. They just did everything. They were just incredibly natural, organic, and just sick sick sick backing tracks and beats.
Factsssss🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Still waiting for the “Hey Ladies” reaction. Your head is gonna explode!!🤣🔥
It’s coming soon
SERIOUSLY BEASTIE BOYS NAS!!!!!!!!!!
It’s coming just trying to spread out my videos
pauls boutique is probably one of the most influential hip hop albums ever
The only rap group, that I am aware of, that has sampled the percussion instrument, Lion's Roar!
🔥🔥‼️
Welcome to that which is the Beasties. Next time you take a drive, just listen to the Paul's Boutique album start to finish. Its my favorite pure hip-hop record
Will do for sure, thank you 🙏🏽
If you wanna hear a flow you should check out Nonstop Disco Powerpack. Once it starts, it continues straight through to the end without a break even for a second. Hence, “Nonstop”
Betttt I’ll add it to the already long list that I have
Beastie Boys got big when they moved to Socal😁 We were Party animals!
🔥🔥🙏🏽
I finally found your livestream of Paul’s boutique. Great job.. sorry about the ending. When you want a different genre I’d like to see you react to Blue October’s “hate me” or “fear”. Congrats on the 4k! 5k will be soon.
Thank you so much, and it’s okay about the ending that’s just the world of copyright we live in. Thank you so much I appreciate you 🙏🏽❤️
So fire 🔥 even The Goldberg's had to do it
🔥🔥🔥
Classic “Arsenio Hall Show” 1992 appearance “So What’cha Want”
Coming very soon
That song takes me way back, lol Cruisin around the mall parking lot with this song blasting from the tape deck, simpler times.
Gooood timesss😎
Beasties Boys are my favorite band.....ever.
🔥🔥🙏🏽
Coast Contra - Never(freestyle) is a must.
I’ll check it out
Straight up GOATs.
‼️🙏🏽🔥
As a Repeat Offender of The Beastie Boys Vids we meet again.... stay the Course, great reaction! Grunge awaits.
🔥🔥🙏🏽
They were like in their early twenties (22-24 years old) coming up with this shit. Insane.
‼️🙌
They knew what's hippin', rappin', rocking, funkin', 'understatement-igredients' are, could be, should be, have to be. They had the lust, they didn't look in/at one direction - and they did it so satisfying well!
Agreed🙏🏽
Greetings from boogie down Bronx little brother, you’re on a roll. Don’t stop now.
Thanks bro‼️‼️this means a lot seriously ❤️

This should be your next Beastie Boys reaction
You were getting so hyped and I was just waiting to see the look on your face when the vocals went out and that spacey bass sound comes on. Man I miss being in my 20's throwing a house party in the 90s and blasting all this stuff. Everyone's just bumping.
🙏🏽🙏🏽🔥🙏🏽
love sweet love
💙💙💙
Speaking of Brooklyn... "No Sleep Till Brooklyn". But, also "Girls". 😊
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
In the 90's this was only played on alternative stations.
Ohhhh ok thank you🙏🏽❤️‼️
More Beasties!
Trust me it’s coming, just spreading out the content
Awesome! I knew you'd like this one. TY so much for letting us enjoy your reaction to it.
Of course, thank you for supporting
SHES CRAFTY!!
🔥🔥🔥
Miss the Beastie Boys

Beastie Boys Legend my Teen Heros ❤
🙏🏽🔥❤️
@@StaxReacts thanks for little ❤️ 🥰
that album needs to be listened thru track to track.
🔥🔥‼️
They’re the produce
🔥🔥🔥
This video is great if only for the fact of luscious round things so prominent. Tons of other reasons, tho. BBoys back and forth slays The song is, has been, and will continue to be appreciated
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Crazy brilliant fools.
🙏🏽
I cherish every Beastie Discovery Journey. FD Signifier just dropped a video about the only good yt rapper and I’m not mad because they aren’t “yt rappers” they are the beastie GOATs
🔥🔥🙏🏽
this song still makes me drive fast! :P
Hahaaa don’t get a ticket
@@StaxReacts Do these!!! I'd love to see your jaw drop at these beats --->>> Sure Shot - Pass the Mic - Make Some Noise - Too many Rappers (feat NAS)
Just as Rakim changed the phrasing and flow with the Follow the leader album for rappers, Dj Hurricane and the Beasties changes the game for sampling with Pauls Boutique. Not saying the Beasties are the best ever but this album is an extremely important part of rap history. As a 52 year old who grew up in the very early stages of hip hop it does my heart good to see the younger generations finding this music. And if your not aware i recommend you check out Eric B and Rakim. Follow the Leader album is their best work in my opinion. "You said im lazy you must be crazy, you thought i was a donut and you tried to glaze me." Rakim.
🔥🔥🙏🏽🙏🏽
Rockin that Perk jacket
Gotta rep the hometown, you from around the area?
This and body movin always got everyone dancing at the clubs 😂
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Check out Public Enemy and Anthrax - Bring the noize, and Anthrax - I'm the Man
🙏🏽
That was 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Nooo capppp🔥🔥🙏🏽
I checked out your whole reaction to Paul's Boutique just to see your reaction to the last song and Hellllllooo Brooklyn just for it to cut off before you got to hear the whole thing 😭😭😭
I knlwwwww it sucks so bad, but I’m uploading an individual reaction to it in a few days
MAC DRE "Lets All Get Down"
Do or Die.... Po Pimp has the most catchy hook in history
I’ll check it out gang
@StaxReacts there's a joke about the hook that goes, if you ever play hide and seek with someone from Chicago, all you have to do is sing the first part of the hook, and they won't be able to not sing the second part of it...
you gotta do the music video for "Hey Ladies" next. if you liked this, you're gonna love that.
Betttt
Radio friendly hip hop.
House of Pain - Jump Around
Digital Underground - Humpty Dance
Tone Loc - Wild Thing
Will bring soon
Would also reccomended some Hilltop Hoods for that sense of fun🍻🍻

Try the Album To The 5 Boroughs.
One of my favourites.🎉

Love your Beastie Boys reactions. As for other groups that are funky and doing their own thing from that era, De La Soul (Me Myself and I), Digable Planets, A Tribe Called Quest.
Thank you so much, I have those groups on my list🙏🏽
Rap raiz ...
Just for reference The Beastie Boys were a Punk Rock Band first. Guitar, Bass and Drums
Yes I’m aware
They playin those instruments
