- Hi Everyone
In this video, I will show you how I do the ganache on square cakes to achieve sharp edges. This is an upside down method. I wouldn't be using ganaching plates or any expensive tool. This is the most effective and cheap method for achieving sharp edges.
I hope you will like this and will find it helpful.

Hi Fairy, thanks for sharing this easy and useful video. Can you please share, where did you get this cake leveller? I have been looking for this cake leveller for a while, but couldn’t get it. Thanks 😊
It’s not cake leveller probably that’s why you couldn’t find it😂 it’s spirit leveller you can find in hardware shops. I just use it for cakes to check the level. This one is dedicated to my cakes only.
Hope you can find it now. A very handy tool I must say.
@@Scrumptiouscakesbyfairy Thank you Fairy, you were right, I just googled ‘spirit leveller ‘and it’s available every where 😀. Thanks again, you have been a great help😊
Thanks:)
Plz let us know how to make lotus cake:) thanks in advance
Love the turntable where did you get it please thanks
I bought it from cake international exhibition good few years ago. I do not remember the name of the brand and it doesn’t say anything on the table either so I can’t be much help about it. So sorry x
Ok thanks
Hi, how long did it take to ganache the sides and top in total to make it that perfect x
It does take a fair good amount of time. Say about 30-45mins this doesn’t include the time to refrigerate. That’s why I charge more fir square cakes as they do take more time in ganaching and fondant covering.
Hope this helps x

Do you have the chocolate cake recipe quantities for an 8” square cake?
Not really but I double this chocolate cake recipe for 8” square. You can find it on my channel.
Can we use acrylic 12 inch board instead for cake drum
Of course you can if that’s what you prefer or have already x
Thanks for lovely vedio
Is this whipped ganache?
No it’s not whipped. I don’t whip my ganache as it shortens ganache shelf life.
Beautiful you explain nicely where do you live
I live in London, UK🇬🇧
Can you please tell me how many days in advance should I bake the cake for event the 16th of this month, and when to Crumb coat them and the rest?
I bake 3 days in advance. First day for baking then I wrap the sponges and leave it in the cake box. Second day I start decorating and Third day it goes to the customer.
Can cakes save in freezer for two weeks?
Where is your cake plate from ? Does your board don’t slide ?
The acrylic one ? I bought from eBay ages ago.
I spend my most of time in cooking editing and uploading so I need all my brothers and sisters support plzz ❤️
Can I just leave it like this and not cover it?
Yea of course absolutely fine. You can decorate with the toppers and flowers
Thank you so much!
