    I remember watching this in the Great British Baking Show, but never knew how to do it. IDK if I can ever do it as beautifully as you did, but I'm sure gonna try! 🙌🏽 🖤

    Wow! This was incredibly helpful! Thank you for such a great video. I’m about to make my daughter’s 2nd birthday cake and this will be so useful to help me work out the ganache and buttercream. I love that you did it without expensive ganaching plates too!

      I love the idea of ganache plates but the are so so expensive. I try to use as less equipment as I can. Already half of my kitchen cupboards are full of my cake stuff😂
      Keeping the cake stuff is a real struggle lol

    • @Scrumptiouscakesbyfairy
      @Scrumptiouscakesbyfairy  Před 3 lety +2

      Yes if you make it a night before and leave on the counter or table. Next day it will have a perfect peanut butter consistency(depends on your weather)

    hi I wanted to make a red cake
    for my daughter's birthday. does a gel red coloring works for a ganache?
    merci!I am watching from france. I love your video tutorials.

      I have never coloured my ganache but colouring ganache shouldn’t be a problem if you use strong red colour. I would recommend sugarflair extra red colouring it’s very intense. That’s what I use for colouring the cake sponge and buttercream.

    Love this video. I always use dark chocolate ganache for both chocolate and vanilla cakes under fondant…. Does white chocolate ganache work the same? I would love to use it for my vanilla cakes

    • @Scrumptiouscakesbyfairy

      I definitely use more white ganache than the others. I totally prefer white ganache just because it sets quicker and I find it much easier to work with.

    I am a home baker and learn from you...keep it up this good work..May Allah succeeded you in every aspect of life..
    Just a quick question what if we fill whipping cream Inside the layers instead of butter cream does it work too with fonent and 2 ,3 tier cakes?

    • @Scrumptiouscakesbyfairy
      @Scrumptiouscakesbyfairy  Před 2 lety

      Never use fresh cream or any fresh cream cheese under fondant cakes. It wouldn’t take a weight of whole cake.

  • @SkeletonkeysJan1

    May I ask what do you do with the remaining ganache? If you store it how long can we store it for
    And was this an 8 inch cake? How much double cream and white chocolate was needed for this 3 layer cake please? And final question please do you boil the creams or put in microwave

    • @Scrumptiouscakesbyfairy
      @Scrumptiouscakesbyfairy  Před 3 lety +1

      Please watch my white chocolate ganache video for ganache related questions. Yes it’s an 8” cake. Ganache can last up to 7 days in the fridge or if you wanna store for longer then you can freeze it. I just put mine in an air tight container and freeze.
      Thank you

    Hiya, thanks for this, love it. In preparation for my daughter's 3rd birthday cake, a question, how much ganache is needed for this 3 layer Peppa Pig cake please? Also is this cake for a 24 people serving please? Many thanks

    • @Scrumptiouscakesbyfairy
      @Scrumptiouscakesbyfairy  Před 8 měsíci

      An 8” round x 3layers cake will feed 25. The ganache amount really depends on how thick you wanna do the ganache layer. I usually use 300ml double and 900gm white cooking chocolate for this size. Hope this helps x

    Once the cake is covered with the ganache, when should you add the dripping or any other decorations? :)

    • @Scrumptiouscakesbyfairy
      @Scrumptiouscakesbyfairy  Před 2 lety +2

      Let the cake come down to room temperature if you wanna add the dripping. Other decorations can be added while the cake is cold.
