I learned tractor driving on one of these. It was not quite as far along modern as this one is. Good old tractor would pull a heavy 4 bottom breaking plow. Easily pull a 4 row disc and planter. Wery good for a mid size tractor of that age.
I've never personally added a second set. You would need a spool valve and linkages plus the hard lines and outlet. If you could find a salvage yard tractor to pull the parts off of it wouldn't be that big of deal.
Good day I'm from Ont. Missed buying 17 about 4 yrs. ago. Tractors are more expensive up here,I think, It went $1600. with new idea loader. But what is with them jumping out of gear, I think someone said 3 gear. Thanks

These are great tractors even for modern work. The shuttle shift is a huge plus.

Grew up driving one, good memories. Dad demoed a D19 but let it go, made me upset, but what did a kid from Iowa know. LOL
It should be illegal to put a Stanley muffler on a D17! Very nice machine you got
