We once had a 1 eyed cat named Tommy that loved to be in the thick of things when ever we worked on something.

Doc had to give it a cat scan to find the problem 😎😝

That's an old series D17 They are positive ground. The problem with D17D's is that if you run them hard all day which is fine but when you bring it back it let it cool down before shut down or you're putting head gaskets in it. That 3 point conversion could be a nice feature if it could work. And don't give up on that loader just yet.

Yeah, it would be a sin against the Farm Gods to get rid of that loader.

The tins look pretty good and the grille fits nice. The loader frame didn't look bent, just some hydraulics and pins? Love the notail.

Sweet sounding deisel. Too bad it wasn't the tractor. Overall it could be a diamond in the rough, just going to take some time and elbow grease to find out.

If the cylinders on the loader are in good shape and don’t leak then I’ll take them.

I have a question about adding Hydraulic fluid to the D17 does it use only 1 type of fluid
Does have separate systems for the hydraulic lift and the drive system mine has 2 dip sticks

ONLY an Idiot would remove a loader that fits this tractor ! The Loader IS THE MOST USEFUL IMPLEMENT a tractor can have !

That loader is junk it's been broke up and welded and multiple places along the side and the mounts have been twisted and half ass repaired only the loader arms look decent the rest of that loader is no good

I used to believe that. For moving big bales out of the field, sure. But for loader work, a skid steer will be the better choice. I have a small operation but trust me, the skid steer gets used more than a tractor with a loader. I know the $$ difference but it was well worth the investment. I use mine as a forklift as well as with a brush grapple and a rock sifting bucket.
