- Planting Soybeans like its 1963 | Allis Chalmers D17 Tractor & Oliver Superior Grain Drill.
In this video I am out in a field south of Wilmington Ohio with a farmer planting (drilling) soybeans with his 1963 Allis Chalmers D17 Tractor and Oliver Superior Grain Drill.
In the video I give a little history on the Allis Chalmers D17 tractor which was built in West Allis Wisconsin from 1957-1967.
Also while I was in the area I had the opportunity to video several orange tractors like a Allis Chalmers, Deutz Allis, Agco Allis, Agco and a Challenger (yellow) Articulated 4WD Tractor. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
I absolutely love all of your tractor videos, but being an allis fanatic myself, I especially like the ones featuring orange tractors ‼️‼️ keep em coming and I'll keep watching em 👍
The greatest 60 hp tractor ever made!
Allis Chalmers D17👍👍👍
Love the old iron!
Old school!!! Enjoyed the video.
Series IV diesel with factory Snap coupler and AC170 flat top fenders. Super sharp looking tractor!!!!!!!!!
My dad has a D17. The farmer that he worked for in the 60s had it. When he passed in 2011 his son asked my dad if he would like to buy it so my dad bought it.
Old iron at work is always great😉👍 looking forward to see the next videos👍😁
Great video Mike. Thank you 👍
O ya we had 2d17 and a wd45 when I was younger. THANKS for sharing.

I’ve got a D17 diesel, it’s a 1959, awesome video Mike.
I would love to own that tractor. I have long been an orange tractor fan.
A sea of orange - - - Another great video !!!!!
Howdy Farmhand Mike
Great video Mike. The D17 looks in mint condition. You can have a good fun day out on one of those old machines, If your a hobby farmer.
Planted alot of acres with dad with a D-19 & D-15
Look forward to future updates
never saw'd a D17 diesel , but close ; worked on a couple of WD45 diesels .... "a few years ago" 😮😅
Looks like you put the click bait at the end of the vidio. Got me all excited.
Wow great orange tractors coming soon.
Nice video mike, good to see vintage equipment
Really neat video Mike. Always enjoy the old iron. 😊👍🏻
Great shots of the “golden oldies “ 👍 Regards from Down Under.
I like Mike less videos on CZcams from the imperial county California 👍👍🖐️🇺🇲
Cat II three point hitch? Yes, that was a factory option, but the D17 shown appesrs to have a snap-coupler.
Good video.
Awesome modern-day vintage video.
Nice catch, and I really enjoy your videos of a variety of farming techniques. Thanks for sharing again. Happy subscriber 😊! My 👍 is automatically in.
What a beautiful tractor are those fenders off a 185
Series three D17 with AC 170 fenders on it
A massive 7’ every pass!!! WOW! That’s covering the acres quick😮
Hey Mike, I grew up in Wilmington, but moved away many years ago after college. Can you tell me what part of Clinton county you were in when you filmed this?? My grandpa had a farm west of Wilmington.
Now that is a real tractor and planter 2:30
Don’t remember our D-17 having square fenders
They didn't, those are from a later tractor like a 170.
Are those the original fenders
No, those are 170 fenders. The fellow that did the restoration on it had an AC loader on it, and liked the flat top fenders. He used the tractor pretty regularly then and wanted what he wanted. Pat got the tractor when he passed
😎😎
👍🙋🏽♂️
As a non farmer how come they plant in the opposite direction then they tilled
He was just doing the end rows there. At least I think that is what you are referring to.
