- Farmall H Planting Soybeans with an International 510 Grain Drill. Very old farm tractor in operation on the farm. Vintage farm tractor in operation on the farm. #FarmallFanatic #farmallh #farmall
I love seeing a nice looking old classic tractor that is actually out in the field working. Way nicer than only seeing them on display in a beauty Padgett going to waist.
I love working these old machines
Love the sound of that old H chugging along 👍🏻
It's a better tractor than I thought
That a great sounding "H"
Your little Farmall sounds good,
Looking good buddy. Wont be long they will be sprouting up!
They definitely are 👍
Rode past Boak's the other day. They have a whole load of trailer plows. Thought of you when I saw them. Lol
I need to make a road trip for sure
We've been getting A lot of rain here..its raining right now actually..lol
You're getting your Beans..awesome!
Thanks for taking us along and sharing this with us...Happy Saturday...be blessed...be safe...😘🙏🤗
That planter works really good! 7 inches is what a lot of farmers plant soy here! For the same reason! Have a good weekend my friend!
No lazer, just old school looks like you’ve got mad Skillz 😉
Only way to go! 👍
Actually looks like a good time!! Tyfs hun have a great Memorial day weekend. Love ya💞💞
Good you got it planted. Now for some mild temperatures, some rain, and sun so you can Go-n-grow! Your helpers were pretty steadily distributing the seed in the hoppers. Full-watch.
6:37 up on that perch again. It's a good angle
Thanks for this Farmall, I like watching the old tractors work.
Great watching old equipment working, thanks for sharing
Love that H. I have a 49 H and love it. Thanks for sharing.
This is a 49 as well 👍
I enjoyed watching you get your beans planted . You must have missed the rain that we been getting .
No, we got it yesterday
Looks awsome, got the itch to do some planting myself! Nice job
Just looking back on this video, that steel hook is used for pulling a log chain through under a log. Hope you kept it that's a handy tool.
Yea I definitely did
Farmall Fanatic!! WooooO!!! Enjoyed the vid buddy! #stoneyridgefarmer
Thank you! 💥BOOM💥
510 a first class drill 👍 back in the day planted hundreds of acres wi one o them an if u followed the calibration instructions I reckon they were one o the most accurate drills around 💪👍BOOM
Yea im definitely satisfied with it
Can you use that drill in a no-till application?
@@rafterbbuilders6896 unfortunately I would say not unless u were in extremely sandy soil ,
WTC Auction is having a sale next Saturday. I went by there earlier and there was a set of very rusty 4 bottom drag plows could be Olivers. Might be a good match for the 756. They had new back tires pictured on their website. There was a fair amount of stuff there already.
I'll do a preview video on Thursday night or Friday morning
I know nothing about Farming...but i so enjoy your videos
Never planted Soy beans before so I found this interesting mate. We did turnips and potatoes and barley. My Dad did have the same machine for sowing tho so I kinda recognised it. Let's go let's grow rofl.😂👍 Good to see the old girl earning her keep.👍
another great video
Really enjoy watching this stuff!
What’s up my friend, glad to see you keeping the dream alive farming for the rest of us.
Good to see you man, hope all is well!
Looking good. I like 7" rows for the same reason.
Drillin' in some beans!!!
My dad used an old IH steel wheel drill to plant beans with the drag chain
A sea of RED!!! Very 😎!!
Reminds me of an ol chicken catcher tho that’s way too heavy duty. I like the hitch pin idea too.
Nice tractor
Thanks
That's about 50 years worth of treated soybean seeds for my small homestead! LOL Do you grow rice up in PA? BOOM! Red Power!
Take care and stay safe,
Rob
The problem with growing rice is that you have to have wet fields
The end wheel drills sure pull easier than the press drill. We have a 12' 620 press drill, there's no way you would pull a loaded 12' press drill with a Farmall H in a worked field. The press drill equivalent to the 510 is the 620.
That H or yours runs SILKY SMOOTH!!
Even tho there was no rice, this upload was still nice. 😁👍. Best of luck with the new seed bud.😅👍🌱🌱🌱🌱
Rice is twice as nice as lice! 🤣
New to your channel, just subscribed, Thank you :)
I like seeing the field work! Hey, did you know you had a couple of people hitching a ride!?
Nice work!
Keep the great red videos coming bud 💪💪💪
Hahaha talked them into it 😂👍🍻
Mmbahaha
Found parts are a good thing 👊😎
Now to figure out what it was used for
That is a lot of drill for the Farmall H. I'm considering a Super M to pull a 21 hole. Guess it would work given your esperience.
And then some
Im looking forward to seeing our 43 H in the field working soon! Thanks for the videos!
It looks like a Myrtle a logger uses it to pull the choker under the log
Nothing like being on a tractor
Agree
Sammy Haggar.." I can't drive Fifty Five!!"..
I think you might be right about that tool. I know of a 300 that still has its fast hitch tool. Hard to find one still on the tractor.
I really think that's what it is and it's probably been in this field for maybe 60 or 70 years
💘 your quoting of CDB!!..
Nice 🤙 Work guys
But a lot of loggers used to use them the polar chainsaw under the log
Throttle the tractor up to half way. Or watch a video on grain drills
Who was the helpers riding?
the rod looks familiar such from equipment / implements as an adjusting rod lever,
Nephew and my dad
Great video, keep it up!👍
I'm looking at a 1950 M , would I was wondering if the hydraulics would have enough capacity to run a 12ft 5100 IH drill? It doesn't have the Christmas tree 2 way hydraulics on it.
Yes...once you set it up
Just wondering how many acres do you have? Love your videos really miss the spring plowing nothing like the smell of fresh plowed ground.👃 oh yeah.
Ill do about 150 this year
would you be better off to pull a single or double roller cultipacker behind the drill???
If you have to pack your beans I would pull a single
I’m still useing a MCCORMICK-Deereing grain drill on steel wheels.
I plant treated beans because my seedsman gaurentees 100% free seed for replant if the need should arise. We've had wet springs here and you could tell which fields were treated beans, and which weren't. Especially in the river bottoms.
That would make sense
The fungicide and inoculant are the biggest things to seed treatments.
@@silverbarnfarms5640 If I go beans on beans I don't ever use inoculant
Why is that?
Because the bacteria needed is already in the soil if you planted beans the previous year
Once you have the beans planted, how long before you start to see some growth? (Just curious) Have a good rest of the weekend.
Bout 5 days
Just a question on speed, but back in the 1960's we pulled the grain drill at 4 to 5 mph planting grain. Is there a reason why you would go slower?
My guess is doing 5 miles per hour...You had a lot of seed float
@@FarmallFanatic I do not recall that we had seed float problems, but our soil was rather sandy. That may have been the difference. I live in an area where the soil is rather heavy on clay now and it doesn't go as fast here.
@@larrymcever4601 I just know that speed has never been an advantage when putting seed in the ground... For a multitude of reasons.
Do you harrow and roll your beans to get the ones on top down ??
Nope I just let them go I have had badd experiences packing beans in
Yep I was the sentinel in the FFA. Pretty much the same as a regulator. The enforcers that keep order and peace.
I wouldn't be surprised if the position is eliminated nowadays because it's not being inclusive or its discriminates.
You were way to mean hahahahaha
You had help on the back of the grain drill?! There go all your profits. ;v) Lol!
Boom 🚜💥
At least that piece of metal didn't end up in your tire!!
Not been a great year for tires lol
You don’t have a white mold problem with 7” rows?
Nope
You'll have to research that part you found in your field...
Tamos juntos amigo
You forgot to tell people that coyotes don’t stink! A lot of people don’t know this! I will forgive you this time. Oh by the way nice video!
I had to dog someone else first...ur next in line 🤣
Farmall Fanatic I noticed that!
Bom cultivo
That drill doesn’t pull hard throttle down pull it in 3rd gear !
I actually did end up putting it in 3rd gear
Get a 4lb and an anvil I think you can save that tool
And again at 8:24
Great red power stuff! By the way you keep losing your people off the planter
I bet the deer will be all over them before long
Yea had 3 nice bucks carry over. Things could get serious in a few months lol
