    I love seeing a nice looking old classic tractor that is actually out in the field working. Way nicer than only seeing them on display in a beauty Padgett going to waist.

    Good you got it planted. Now for some mild temperatures, some rain, and sun so you can Go-n-grow! Your helpers were pretty steadily distributing the seed in the hoppers. Full-watch.

    Just looking back on this video, that steel hook is used for pulling a log chain through under a log. Hope you kept it that's a handy tool.

    510 a first class drill 👍 back in the day planted hundreds of acres wi one o them an if u followed the calibration instructions I reckon they were one o the most accurate drills around 💪👍BOOM

    WTC Auction is having a sale next Saturday. I went by there earlier and there was a set of very rusty 4 bottom drag plows could be Olivers. Might be a good match for the 756. They had new back tires pictured on their website. There was a fair amount of stuff there already.

    Never planted Soy beans before so I found this interesting mate. We did turnips and potatoes and barley. My Dad did have the same machine for sowing tho so I kinda recognised it. Let's go let's grow rofl.😂👍 Good to see the old girl earning her keep.👍

    That's about 50 years worth of treated soybean seeds for my small homestead! LOL Do you grow rice up in PA? BOOM! Red Power!

      The problem with growing rice is that you have to have wet fields

    The end wheel drills sure pull easier than the press drill. We have a 12' 620 press drill, there's no way you would pull a loaded 12' press drill with a Farmall H in a worked field. The press drill equivalent to the 510 is the 620.

    That is a lot of drill for the Farmall H. I'm considering a Super M to pull a 21 hole. Guess it would work given your esperience.

    I think you might be right about that tool. I know of a 300 that still has its fast hitch tool. Hard to find one still on the tractor.

    I'm looking at a 1950 M , would I was wondering if the hydraulics would have enough capacity to run a 12ft 5100 IH drill? It doesn't have the Christmas tree 2 way hydraulics on it.

    I plant treated beans because my seedsman gaurentees 100% free seed for replant if the need should arise. We've had wet springs here and you could tell which fields were treated beans, and which weren't. Especially in the river bottoms.

      The fungicide and inoculant are the biggest things to seed treatments.

      Because the bacteria needed is already in the soil if you planted beans the previous year

    Just a question on speed, but back in the 1960's we pulled the grain drill at 4 to 5 mph planting grain. Is there a reason why you would go slower?

      My guess is doing 5 miles per hour...You had a lot of seed float

      @@FarmallFanatic I do not recall that we had seed float problems, but our soil was rather sandy. That may have been the difference. I live in an area where the soil is rather heavy on clay now and it doesn't go as fast here.

    Yep I was the sentinel in the FFA. Pretty much the same as a regulator. The enforcers that keep order and peace.
    I wouldn't be surprised if the position is eliminated nowadays because it's not being inclusive or its discriminates.
