The easiest method is simply weighing it, No real coin should be underweight at all, and almost always will be overweight very slightly. Then, measure it. If it is the correct dimensions according to the bullion supplies or the mints, then it is almost certainly real. I always take a neodinium magnet to any new purchases that I'm suspicious of too. You can always run a specific gravity test too, which can be done at home with a half decent scales. But ultimately, over the years I have gained a feel for silver. I can tell almost immediately just by holding something if it is real or not, and this one is the genuine article! Good luck!
I picked up the early release 2017 sp70 krugerrand and I'm just curious as to if it's gone up in value I've only seen one site that's asking like $385.00 dollars but it doesn't seem legit? Any help would be greatly appreciated
Where did you see these prices ? I see many European dealers selling the PU 2017 around 28 euros, I did not really check US dealers, but Apmex is around 65$...far from your 103$
@@frenchie9103 Just remember, some dealers leave a low price on their website, but they have no stock. It is easy to try to attract buyers when you show low prices, and dealers do this to try then to sell them something else!
Very good deal! I do like the krugs. I wouldn't take it out of the capsule though!
Premium unc is great too have one myself!
It really is! Hope you got a bargain like me!
@@StackerNoobUK bought it in South Africa when I was over there.
Great pickups, and a great deal. I did get one for free in a gaw, otherwise I wouldn't have got one, found the premium to high. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks dude! Nice lucky you! You are right the premiums are ridiculous but I think I got away with this one! My pleasure as always my friend!

Beautiful coin. New to the hobby myself, curious how you test purchases or recognize fakes on eBay?

That seems massively excessive to me. I would be looking to pay a no lore than £30 ($40) so don’t do it!
