These coins are beautiful! New sub and after 2 years I'm finally able to start stacking again. I've taken a strong interest to these 2 and 5 mark coins especially for the history. That's all these coins represent is pure history and the amazing (bad or good) stories they represent. Keep stacking and people who don't like it need to unbundle their panties and move on. Keep it up, Canadian Maples are my kryptonite for pure silver coins.
Here in Germany thouse are pretty common. I also stack them even though I personally prefer the 5 RM. Price to Silver ratio is better. I have also some videos covering those coins. ⭐⭐⭐
I'm not gonna lie,I want some nazi silver coins now. They are really cool looking and a part of history. But I love libertads! The older ones are my favorite but the new design is also stunning! And I saw a proof or something 5 oz libertad in new style and that was the best looking libertad I've ever seen.. Cool coins mate!

Absolutely not controversial, it's history!!. It's not like your wearing it as jewelry . If history offends anyone, tuff . Must be remembered so we don't make same mistake twice. Lesson learned, 1 front at a time .
Leave it to people to get offended by a coin. If that was the logic then almost every historic coinage should be melted down and erased because they all have some negative stories associated with them. Roman/egyptian/ byzantine etc etc.
Render unto Hindenburg what is Hindenburg's and smack it down for the raw value. "These would be really cool looking coins if not for the symbol (swastika) in the middle." You've never collected German Imperial or WWI coins?

He was an elderly man who caved under pressure with no idea what would happen. Hindenburg has a coin without the swastika on it. He wasn't a Nazi. And what do the Nazis do? Smack their stolen symbol on the back of his coin. Such disrespect.
I have German Imperial and Russian Tsar coins. Complex? Sure....but nothing complex about the Nazi use of the swastika and the Commie hammer. Nazis and Soviets are great evils opposite of the same....coin... Their artifacts come a dime a dozen. There's enough for museums and collection. What we don't need is hoarding. Their symbols are an insult to the silver (or other metals) it is on.

Yes....but they weren't exactly nice to the Vikings and Pilgrims either, and they were fighting over this land. We have atoned to the extent we can, and have given reservation, government assistant, college grants etc. A lot of out symbols and town names share reverence with Native Americans, and many Caucasians celebrate their Native American heritage, however small it may be. We don't have symbols which glorify their extermination. Many things of what we did were wrong, but hate is not reflected in our currency. Again, complications, just like Tar and Imperial currency. Nazi and Commie ideology is evil in 1 dimensional ways and nothing to defend.

They are silver coins !!!!
Just my personal opinion, but they don't have enough silver in them to be of any significance, and their numismatic value is almost negligible.
2 Reichsmark = 62.5% silver
5 Reichsmark = 90% silver
