- Silver and gold price in 2020 has exploded. We arent yet where I want to be in terms of the gold silver ratio (GSR) of 50:1, but offloading some premium coins might help you get there quicker!

Silver is taxed at 20% in the UK (VAT) but gold isn't so I'm concentrating on gold now and just buying the occasional silver.
It’s a fair point. Also the CGT issues must be remembered.

Actually, you got a little silver back in the gold eagle. Gold Eagles are an alloy of 91.67% gold, 5.33% copper and 3% silver. The 3% silver makes the gold eagle less red than the gold Krugerrand (also 91.67% gold, but 8.33% copper).

i have been saving for the 1oz gold buffalo coin. My strategy has changed due to 2020 events. I am sitting on 455oz silver and around 4.5oz gold but I want to focus on my gold for the future. My plan for Bitcoin is to wait to see if we get any excitement for 2021 and when I feel its time I will trade a portion for more gold.

I believe so. Rumours that wolverine to be released soon. I love this series but the raw profit I was making here was too good to pass up. Yeh this eagle goes for about 410 right now so in effect I got about £50 per oz for the silver so I’m pleased enough with that! Cheers

That’s a good and very achievable target. Don’t think it’s been below 60:1 in a good 8 years or so so that’s profit in my eyes! I’m want a little more for my trouble though, so 50:1 is my aim!

Yeh it was a hard set for me to give up but I had to think practically about it. I’ve been considering doing the same thing for the QBs 10 oz coins too.
I traded alot of my silver for Gold a long time ago just to have a stack of gold as well as silver I since replaced the silver but I’ve been stacking for a good while now.anyway thanks for sharing my friend

I was actually thinking of trading either my 10 oz QB Dragon or Griffin for a 1/4 oz of gold....
I've been thinking the same thing. I think for the right person you could probably get at least a sovereign for the Lion or the Griffin, maybe the dragon too!
@@StackerNoobUK Good shout....a gold dealer told me 2 weeks ago that it'd be totally wrong to convert silver to gold as he feels its still going to close the S2G ratio...BTW...you and The Silver Joker are my fav stacker channels on YT. Both honest, real and down to earth fellas.

The ratio was essentially 9 oz for a 1/4. So that would be 36 oz for 1 oz!
