Bro you should 100% do more car repair vids. Give us ol' mate fixes, give us random tinkering, whatever. I love me some janky repairs.
Second. I found this before I found the main channel, and while dankpods is great, janky automotive nuggets are even better.
If you love Janky repairs, go back and find the video where they fixed the Shifter on the Nugget. It involved a water bottle lol.
it'd be so good but also he does only have only so many nuggets to fix
imagine if he collabs with Mighty Car Mods.
The ol' mate fixes are maximum entertainment
"It's shiny, you see?" Said Wade, gently stroking an indistinguishable black void of CZcams video compression.
For real 😂
No, I see it

We love seeing the tank we know as the Donkey survived! We pray for the day it can play a different CD.
we hope not, it's going to kill the charm of the thing

Why not just whack a nugget into the aux? I'm sure Dank has quite a bit of those lying around.
100% on the oil light bit. My mom's old Civic started burning oil a few years ago and the first warning was when she took it in for a service and the guy told her the dipstick was bone dry. Later found out if you run it _real_ low the check engine light will eventually come on, which is slightly less useless but still too late if it's not even showing on the stick.
It amazes me how low the oil level can get on these cars before they even trip the oil pressure light.
Regularly I get older Camries at work that drive fine, but the moment you are in a turn it trips the oil pressure light
I know in some cars the dip stick doesnt even start touching oil till like 2 litres are in
@@Nesserris My 1990 boat of a car does the same thing if I take sharp corners too fast, or sharp corners that are also an uphill. But the oil level is fine when I check it. First time it happened it scared the shit out of me as the car is high mileage and so I sort of expect for something catastrophic to happen every day.
But I figured out that as long as I keep RPMs above 3k I can corner as fast as I won't and she won't yell at me lol.
@@Nesserris It isn’t even that complicated to add a oil level sensor that does a quick check 5 minutes after the engine shuts off. It’s all to save a few pennies and sell extended warranty.
Honestly, those hondas are tanks. Friends first car was a 98 accord, we head to put a (1) used tire on it, he wanted me to ride along. Oil light starts flashing. Double check and yes indeed, no oil pressure.
Check stick, bone dry, run down to a gas statio. And get 2 quarts of the right oil, dump em. Bone dry
Another quart, nothing. Random oil found in the trunk? Maybe 2 quarts? Screw it toss it in.
Still not on the stick.
So it got driven 15 miles home after that. Think maybe a proper oil change after. Survived highschool honda antics including having its poor face ripped off when my friend pulled out into traffic and semi tboned someone.
6 years later she chuggs along as someone else in his familys daily driver. They had me toss a new headlight hood and bumper to fix the damage for em a year bacm
Thank you someone actually knows what that oil light is. When i learned what it actually meant by going to college to be a technician like ole mate James there before i knew of the legend that is James i was like "oh that light means you're effed big time the motor did the big stink and is going to kill itself in a matter of seconds"
too true 💀
Haha
it's the ABANDON CAR NOW light
To think that many of our parents just thought it was an oil change light and drove for days or even weeks like that. Eugh.
@@FunkatronicDingus sometimes it's just the dingus pressure sensor because they are dumb cheap and break that's when you find where it is and stick a oil pressure gauge to measure the pressure coming out from the oil pump. You might get lucky, oh and clean oil is your friend there too actual s' what actually breaks the sensor
Love your stuff, man. Distracts from the craziness of life. Thanks for the content!

Fun fact about differentials, if you start getting noise it usually means it to late for it. My best advice is don't service it as doing so could dislodge any metal clumps that are actually keeping it from exploding. But if it ever does give out there is a fix that I have seen done on a farm truck that was jumping the splines whenever it would tow a trailer. The guy took a grease gun and packed the diff full of grease till it wouldn't hold any more and like magic it actually works for over 20,000 more miles. Till it inevitably wore the drive shaft spline and fell out of the diff. But hey it worked.
Wow this was a rollercoaster of bad advice. Service it for fuck sake. It should have a magnetic drain plug, if it has sludge on it maybe consider doing a flush.
@@TheFool2cool Nah Mate, some Grease will hold it together, what do those Mechanics know about cars
@@nickrustyson8124 damn keyboard mechanics
@@nickrustyson8124 ok but like what is the other oil light below the oil light?
Nah man you just gotta fill it with banana peels (he's already done this in another video) haha.
I wish I had Wade's nugget-car confidence. I have a full-blown panic attack when I hear the slightest rattle.
You’ve gotta get yourself a reeeeal shit box, that’s when all the fun happens. When you know there’s a chance it might not make it halfway home from Bunnings but somehow keeps running on voodoo and will power.
What rattles? Just turn on the radio. I've got no time or money to stress over some rattles in a 20 year old car.
Can I say I'm a recovering addict and you're videos are just a absolute highlight to my day and whenever I'm stressed I can always come for a laugh and I greatly greatly appreciate that keep up the great work !!!!! 😃
Stay strong buddy
@K-Tech I will be 1 year the 24th of this month actually:)

Congratulations and good luck!
Honestly, I've started to love this channel even more than DankPods. I feel like the content here is borderline glorious when Wade isn't pressured to upload every week.
i love dankpods, but the sheer chaos that takes place here alongside his progress with everything is just so enjoyable
Naw mate my oil lights been on for 3 years. Been grand.
Dank: "It has the no oil pressure light of death. It's a miracle that the engine still runs."
Also Dank: "I want to go through the time, effort, and money to completly redo the suspension with air bags to make it ride better"
God i love this channel
Its always amazing how much new oil can do, eh?
Also that ending was terrific!
2 videos in 2 days!?! What a TREAT! ❤️
i guess without the distraction of loud planes it makes it easier lmaoo
@@st_peggin hard agree 🤣
Funny enough after your "I'm moving vid" I watched the first vid on the donkey. Where you gave it three months, and I noticed it'd been about that time and wished it well. Glad to see it's still going along. And TBH, I feel like the Diff could do with some new fluid as well going by the Trans fluid. Could probably solve the whining.
for those who are curious, this is a 1994-2005 mitsubishi WA express. its known as the delica elsewhere.
As a apprentice mechanic I love these videos they hit the sweet spot between dodgey and perfect!
engine: *literally locks*
this man: "so unfortunately we might need a new everything."
I would love to see everything about the van and every little repair, you make literally everything entertaining and worth watching. Also hell yes airbags
Hey wade, just want you to know that you are my favorite CZcamsr and have been a fan Since 150k. Just want you thank you for entertaining content that is great!
these short form car videos are so much fun i love these
Two in a day!!!!! We are truly blessed by this Australian chaos God
You from Australia? It was posted across two days for me and I’m in Sydney
Watching these videos gives my nostalgia of “fixing” stuff with my dad and giving it the most scuffed work that works you’ve ever seen
i love these old soggy mitsu vans, great to see it out livin life even if it’s a little rough
happy 3 month anniversary, big nugget!
I have a suggestion. Put a nice mattress in the back of the donkey, and set up a speaker system with a subwoofer and stuff with a mount for the fiio amp thingy and make it sort of like a little mancave
RIP donkey van, you last 4 times longer than expected
An old mate fix for the noisy diff is adding sawdust to the oil, back in the 80s in Poland people did it a lot. Trust me it works.
Jamiroquai being stuck in the van just adds to the beauty
Two garbage time videos in a week, this is heaven
Yo know it’s a good day when wade uploads a dank vid
Wow, the WadeMobile, Destroyer of Chairs has surpassed it's expiration date!
I love how Donkey is parked next to the Shrek room.
It was like it's meant to be 😂
It’s amazing that changing transmission fluid can actually fix gearbox shifting issues like what your van had. Some manufacturers say their transmissions are sealed for life or use extra long life oil which should never need to be changed it’s crazy.
I was literally about to re watch one of your videos cuz i'm bored, the timing is immaculate 😂
Man, I love those car videos so much. I actually got excited when I saw it in my feed.
1:59 that new fluid looks like the mood slime from Ghostbusters II 😂
i dont know why this is in my recommended, but im glad that the van has lasted 3 months
it's nice to see a bloke who isn't fascinated with expensive supercars, and instead buys elderly, battered cars that will always hold ten times the character of the former.
"Yeah its got no oil pressure mate"
*revs it all of the way out while cold*
I know NOTHING about repairing cars / mechanics in general. Please keep these videos coming, I love them!
Oh nooo time to save the Red Nugget, again! I've got one bike I've rescued from the dead (little yamaha 125) and your repair videos have taught me to be way less anxious about it and to roll with the repairs and just... enjoy it? I love my bike. She's beaten to hell and back from teaching people how to ride, technically she's only got to last until I get my full licence, but you bet I'm keep her, dings and all.
I literally just rewatched the van video and noticed it had been 3 months earlier today. Crazy coincidence
We need more car repair vids! Also you and james taught me heaps of stuff, and I absolutely love it! Along with the new warehouse, amazing!
It's funny you mention that with the rip oil light, because of the way the injectors work in my truck, if there's a problem with too little oil pressure it stalls before it grenades itself. It's saved me twice lol
That is indeed one benefit of a HUEI system, as long as it’s implemented with the high-pressure oil pump pulling directly from the pan (above the level of the normal oil pump) so that it will lose injector pressure before it loses lube pressure. I know that some engines (looking at you in particular DT466!) use the normal lube oil pump to fill a reservoir that the high-pressure pump then pulls from, so in that kind of a system it’s possible to keep going for at least a little bit with no lube oil by using up what’s in the reservoir.
I love these janky cars more than anything. please do more, I need to see these
I'm not car savvy in the slightest (I'm that bitch who spends money on getting oil changes instead of being a man and doing it myself) so I do appreciate having a car that isn't at high risk of something breaking down, but man there's just something special about old cars. Not even vintage cars, but cheap old cars from the 2000's complete with their CD players and the cheap vinyl seats that have developed that specific smell over the years.
@@CommanderWiggins it's not just cars either, old (and/or cheap) things in general are just, so interesting. especially if you can see how they were used, and like the type of person who did use them. don't really know how to describe my fascination with them. just seeing well loved stuff survive today is cool
I would not complain at all if this channel just became a car channel about fixing nuggets and also an educational tool. We’ll just need a Huh Duh Six Hung by Senn equivalent of a car
2000's Corolla
“the es vee six undos by holdennn”
This man has made me want a work mans van just to drive daily and idk how to feel about it
"It's my favorite vehicle" he says about a van he ruthlessly kicks
This is the kind of car that you say you’ll keep until it dies, and then it outlives literally everything else you own
2 videos in 1 day? this is a blessing. Please keep em coming, especially the car repairs!
Gotta love the runners with the DPCU pants. Absolute classic
Love the marine corps hymn playing throughout!
I must say, the variety, the editing and the personality is tremendous. You're one of my favorite CZcams channels right now. I've seen all your videos. I hope you keep making them and keep growing like Frank
This feels like the same relationship I have with my Jeep and she keeps coming back to life once I mention wanting to replace her
Dr. Dankenstein, your creature still lives but how harshly you treat it though. Take care of your creation and it will take care of you. Congratulations on your new laboratory as well.
Nice man, youre here when Depressionen and stress hit me the most thank you for cheering me up with this, i lav ya matey
man i love seeing these car vids keep them coming, you should do an in-depth engine tear down and build video one of these day
You make everything seem so funny and lightened please bring more videos like this I thoroughly enjoy them :-)
These vids bring me back to my dads old impala with 500,000 km on it, broken power steering pump, broken radio, broken abs, screaming fan belt, completely shot suspension and a muffler that was 60% holes. It still ran fine when we scrapped it because the powertrain outlived the body what with canada being rust hell. I miss that old beast
Two Garbeige Thyme's back to back, you're spoiling us too much
I just love your Videos mate :D
Some repair videos would be interesting - as some ppl suggested. Yay to the new place and can't wait for all the content and love supporting you with a dollerydoo!
I once had the Too Late light come on. I was about a quarter mile from my house when I saw it. I made up my driveway, got out and saw all the smoke coming from under my car. After that cleared out, I took a look and saw that the drain plug to my oil pan was missing. The best part was that I was taking my car in for inspection the next day.
Ouch. That sucks! I’ve always been taught that there are only two states for a drain plug, out completely, or in and torqued to spec. So far it’s worked amazingly for everyone in our family (my grandfather got it from his father, passed it to my dad, who’s passed it to me), none of us have ever had issues with losing oil and blowing anything up.
So I see you're a fellow Mastermilo fan!
You've now been officially made Dutch!

I need to have a nap in the back of that van. I just KNOW it would be the best sleep I've ever had
As a car guy AND AN ipod/apple/tech NERD ur channels are just the things I need!
Love to see an old clunker still beating along. Just finished a week of being a racing marshal here in Sweden during the harshest event called Semesterracet (Folkrace). It's glorious fun watching old modified cars being thrashed around a dirt and tarmac track like there's no tomorrow is amazing. Keeping old junk running can become a pain but it's worth it to get the best performance out of next to nothing. Keep the old girl ticking.
Goob twice in one day? Mate, this might be an overdose of goob.
3 Minutes of your content can brighten my day thanks m8
Whoah, 2 videos 2 days in a row!!! I mean, I don’t expect you to keep up this schedule, but it’s always nice to see more of ya. Also, I’m excited for your new space man.
Congrats donkey! you have passed 3 months! WOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!
We should preserve the donk as an arcane artifact of immense power
That Mitsubishi will work longer than a Sprinter van.
Still can't believe i'm watching your content. Why is it so funny to me? Keep the good work mate.
Mates said the same thing about my 2006 Toyota Matrix. Bought it for $900 at 175k kms, now at 215k kms and my mechanic gave me the thumbs up to go CROSS COUNTRY!
