It is true. MG passed away after the end of the MG 3 and 6, which had tweaked MG ZR and ZT Chassis’ and redone Rover K-Series, and, despite the hype of an aging fanbase still yearning for a British car by a British brand, MG is just being squeezed out into a market that has lost its attraction. I drive my TF happily as it is a car that I drive rather than operate.

The kicker about these SUV blobs that everyone drives nowadays is that they only give the illusion of more space, most of them have less cabin and boot space than the chosen family vehicle of the past, station wagons, because of bulky frames, poor optimization, and that sloping roofline. Ain't that just lovely.

I'm just gonna say this happens to every van owner at least once. The day your van diecides to crap out is the day you have a really important errand to run, or a million deliveries to do. I remember my Dad's van dying and I had to throw a pallet of produce in the back of my VW Passat because his rental van he got to replace it was too small to take the day's deliveries.

I'm stuck with a toyota camry avalon whatever that I fucking despise, not cause its a camry but kinda cause it is tho; due to a certain living arrangement I have, I'm stuck paying for a chunk of my brother's camry avalon thing even though I never use it, and he literally only ever uses it to cross one 500 meter road I'm sitting here, waiting for that shitting car to die; I'm not servicing it, I don't clean it, it has done something like 10-20 trips between brisbane and melbourne and has potentially been on the road for nearly as long as I have been alive and yet in spite of that, that oversized shitty v6 piece of crap is still going and is still burning a hole in my minimum wage pocket, whilst I'm trying to fund actual projects that I care about I goddamn hate it and yet it refuses to die

I used to work for Halfords back in 1995 when Daewoo were selling the Nexia through Halfords stores. Daewoo purchased the tooling for the Mk2 Vauxhall Astra/Opel Kadett and started cranking the Nexia out. It was so close to the Astra in looks that the manager told me to park my 1985 Astra at the other end of the lot so customers wouldn't see how the entire interior was identical to a 10 year old nugget.
