If Master Qui Gon have been alive, he would’ve also helped Anakin and Padme keep Luke and Leia a secret from the Jedi order. I just hope we see him in the Obi Wan Kenobi series
Would love them to star making what if movies of Starwars. Or legends stuff
Proof is how he kept the slaughter of the tuskens a secret because kenobi wasn’t ready. He would tell the Jedi they weren’t ready.
Unlikely that we're gonna see him. Liam Neeson said on a few occassions he's not doing any tv stuff, and he is only willing to be in movies. So don't expect him to show up. Also, pretty sure it was mentioned in Clone Wars, all he could do was speak he couldn't appear because he didn't fully complete the training to become a force ghost.
@@Hei_Darkfire he really only needs to do some brief voice over work which i would not think would be to much of a stretch that he might do.
@@sammycakes8778 Oh I know. But I'm just repeating what he said to people who have asked him. He's said in interviews he refuses to do anything TV related and will only do movies. I'm not saying it's not possible, I'm just saying it's highly unlikely based on what Liam Neeson has said.
Qui Gon was the epitome of Sokrates’ methods of to keep learning, admit that he isn’t all-knowing and wise and to challenge ideology or doctrines whenever necessary
Idk why he gets so much praise..
@@NarutoOnlineGermany he trained yoda and Obiwan on how to become force ghosts. He not only did that but he didn’t follow the doctrine of the Jedi order. He followed whatever helped him learn more about the force.
Grey jedi were more dangerous
@@alanmike6883 what does this even have to do with the topic
It's rather interesting to think how different the entire series would be had Qui-Gon lived
star wars theory has a video iirc
Yeah I know right? There's a reason the duel of the fates is called the way it is
Dooku even bought up the fact that Qui-Gon knew what was going on.
I believe Qui-Gon truly knew how bad everything was just as much as Dooku and Sifo-Dyas did.
@Peter's pythons it was one of the tipping points in both. Dooku was already out of the door at that point due to all of the corruption of the Republic and dogma of the Jedi Order. Qui-Gon’s death was basically the icing on the cake. If I remembered correctly in Legends, Palpatine shows Dooku a recording of Maul killing Qui-Gon. To add insult to injury, just shortly before that, Dooku didn’t believe that Anakin was the Chosen One when Qui-Gon brought him to the temple. So that didn’t help matters.
Qui Gon has always been my favorite Jedi. He is so wise and I hope he gets some love in the final episode of Kenobi. :)
We should’ve already saw him .. smh
@@shooei5990 he won’t be shown because he wasn’t able to finish his training to become a force ghost, unless he is shown in a flashback but that’s unlikely
@@ethanelbourne1969 I might be wrong but I think that was only a vision. I thought it was said that although qui gon could communicate through the force, he wasn’t able to finish his training before he died and was not able to permanently become a force ghost. However I could be mistaken
@@ethanelbourne1969 that was a one off because obi-wan was in close proximity to a force nexus, in this case the planet Mortis.
They asked Liam if he coming back, he said not unless it's a movie. So naah 🤣
Palpatine: I am ALL the Sith.
Qui Gon Jinn: And I...am just a bigger fish.
Qui-Gon:
“I am one with the Force.”
@@eds1942 That's better.
Yas!
@@dereklopez9060 both are good tbh
Qui Gon is my favorite. Loved how he was played by Neeson. No one else could play him the same. Though Neeson could do what Nimoy did an pick and help a young actor reprise him as a young Qui-Gon
i would love a Qui Gon prequel series with him as a padawan under Dooku
I wouldn’t be surprised if Palpatine told Maul to take out Qui-Gon first as he knew what would happen if Qui-Gon was able to train Anakin
This is the exact reason that the music playing during the Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan vs Maul fight is called Duel of the fates. Also if you watch the fight again, until he kills him, a lot of mauls attention is towards Qui-gon and that he tries to separate the two by kicking Obi-wan off the side etc
Qui Gonn also was on track to discovering who the sith lord was as a side quest. Also he was more in tune to the living force.
Qui Gon has always been one of my fav Jedi, a true and pure student of The Force that wasn’t blinded by the politics of the Jedi Order.
hail Counselor
Palpatine new that he could hide his dark side of the force from the other Jedi except from Qui-Gon jinn. Mask his presence from all of the Jedis except for him. I believe the reason is Qui-Gon was so in tune with the force as he even learned how to become a force ghost. Palpatine dark side spell did not work on him.
Palpy was right to fear my boy Qui-Gon he is arguably the one who set up his defeat, he found the chosen one who ultimately killed him, but also trained Yoda and Obi-Wan how to become force ghosts so they could help continue Luke's training.
Qui Gon Jinn was the only Jedi that could've figured out Palpatine's Plan of Executing Order 66 to kill the Jedi. This is why Darth Sidious fears him. If Qui Gon Jinn lived, Anakin would've been on the right path.
FACTS!!!!
@@axellrodriguez8451 MY POINT EXACTLY!!!!!!
how would have he figured it out?
@@davidnobre5660 He would sense the Dark Side within Palpatine and would suspect his intentions, forcing Palpatine to reveal himself.
@@jessemillan1385 If Qui Gon survived, I think Anakin will use the Light and Dark sides of the Force, much like Revan did, Shmi will stay alive, Ahsoka will not the Order, and Padme will not die in childbirth. I think that Anakin, alongside Obi wan, Qui Gon, Ahsoka, Shmi and Padme, will convince the Jedi Order to use both sides of the Force and be more balanced. That's my take on it.
Qui-Gon may not have had the most force power, but his connection to the light side of the force was unmatched.
This is a truly great video on what is possibly the single most important and overarching concept in all of Star Wars. You really seem to understand the intricacies of the whole story better than anyone else I have come across. Thank you for posting this.
He knew that qui gon could very easily give Anakin what he needed his entire young life, a true father figure. Its amazing how something so often taken for granted could have altered the course of events.
Brilliant analysis!!! Thank you for time, study and research... We (my family) aprecciate that yo share this with all of us!!! Love from Chile and May the Force be with you!!
Thanks for the video!
Great video thanks for doing this video, I think you’re breakdown of Qui-Gon and his potential influence if he had not been killed by Maul are spot on, thanks for doing the video based on my question
I've allways love the character of Qui Gon. He was very kind, and he was funny at the Phantom Menace. He also teached Anakin about midiclorians and some other stuff. He wen't againts the will of the Council as well, not even once.
I've allways looked at him as a Grey Jedi, for that fact, because he is not following the Way of the Light or the Way of the Dark, he follows the Way of the Force.
Well first things first: the plan’s architect is Darth Plageus. He is the one who came up with the plan. He came up with the idea to use the clones. It was Plageus who realized that if the Jedi serve the light side of the force by serving the Senate then all one needed to do was to corrupt the Senate and thus corrupt the actions of the Jedi, making them fall from the light side of the Force. Plageus deserves a boat load of credit for Palpatine’s success.
Agreed but for the real mvp of the palpitines victory I would have to go with bane.
Great video
Again, very good video
It's very interesting to hear how much fear Qui Gon Gin instilled in Palpatine. It just makes me wonder how your Qui Gon what if would have ended if you kept it going
The recent revelation of the origins of Dooku strongly underlines this. The first time Dooku was tempted by the Dark Side Qui-Gon's intervention saved him and Qui-Gon's eventual death seemed to catalyze or even cause Dooku's fall to the Dark Side.
Qui Gon was always my favorite Jedi from the first moment he appeared. I always thought he represented the true will of the force perfectly. When he meditated in front of Maul in his final moments at first I thought it was purely for saving energy. But since I got older and rewatched the scene, I am convinced he knew that he would die and recognized it as the will of the force. In my opinion he steeled his mind in acceptance for his coming death. I was really glad when Yoda said that he found the path to immortality, which probably happened through full acceptance of the will of the force, including ones own death if it is deemed necessary.
Underrated comment
@@deeznutz8221 Underrated comment on a comment.
Qui Gon wasn't against the "dogmatic nature" of the Jedi council
he was against the arrogance and the militarizantion of the Jedi Order
he followed the rules of the Jedi
I’ll put it this way:
Qui-Gon listened to the Force for guidance.
The Jedi Council followed the order of the Senate.
As for the Jedi Code?
Qui-Gon stayed true to its spirit.
The Jedi Council held to it’s letter.
The Jedi Order of their day had become indentured to the Republic as a quasi political / security institution strictly beholden to a set of rules and regulations willing to look the other way in the face of injustice for political convenience and take up arms rather than counseling and negotiations at the word of the Senate.
And the few Jedi who quit the Order over the war were deemed to have fallen to the Darkside.
The Jedi Order were suppose to keep the Balance. They weren’t doing that. Hence why a Chosen One was needed to restore said Balance. Meanwhile, Qui-Gon Jinn can be interpreted as “a spirit in balance”: where ‘Jinn’ means spirit, and ‘Qui-Gon’ is a misspelling of a word meaning “a meditative breathing exercise meant to help one center themselves or find balance”.
If you ask me if the Jedi Order had become both arrogant and dogmatic, I would say yes. If you were to put that to Lucas or Filoni or anyone beyond the prequels that answer would be the same.
In fact a lot of the info in these videos you can find in the Darth Plagueis book if you want to learn more. I also highly recommend the Darth bane books for more info on the history and implementation of the Rule of 2.
great theory video! def waitin for qui gon to be on episode 6 or maybe even season 2?
Spot on!!!
Qui Gon is my favourite Jedi. He was so flexible and didnt stick dogmatically to the code. He walked the line of a grey Jedi, and could have done so much good
Ps Love your videos. I watch them all. Keep it up :D
He had qui gon to thank for convincing the counsel for Anakin to join the jedi order in the first place.
Qui Gon! My boy! Love him.
*Force spirit Qui-Gon:* "Palpy, I have a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a lifetime of dedication to the force that make me a nightmare for sith lords like you!"
Cant wait to see it
Never thought about it that way! Qui-gon was enemy #1 and Darth Maul was sent there to do more than just wreak havock, his mission was to exterminate the Jedi Master.
You make some great points about Qui Gon being a father figure to Anakin..
I think the fact that Qui Gon was tapped into the "Living Force" was the key to his threat to Palpatine. The Jedi IMO were too focused on seeing the future instead of staying in the present and seeing what was right in front of them (no matter how absurd they might seem on the surface). The future was always dependent on alot of factors that the Jedi couldnt account for. All of the power the Chancellor was accumulating combined with some of his other machinations would have been a huge red flag to Qui Gon
He would have sniffed out Sidious early on because Sidious was sitting in plain sight soo much so that the Jedi never truly considered the idea that HE was the Sith Lord.
Hey Stupendous Wave how far are you to finishing What If Qui-Gon Jinn Trained Anakin PART 3?
Perhaps if qui gon had finished his force ghost training it might have turned out differently as he would be able to be I contact pretty co sisterly at the temple
Qui-Gon Jinn is why my favorite Jedi he is not only wise but also very powerful remember he was trained by Count Dooku and that says a lot
Great!
I really hope we see qui gon in next week's episode 🤞
I wish we could see more about Jin master, i mean, he was such an awesome amd intresting character 😞
He had a premonition of Taken and it scared the hell out of him.
During TPM Era the only Jedi Sidious And Plagueis feared for there skills in lightsaber combat and force powers were Yoda, Dooku, And Mace yeah.
Qui Gon probably my favorite Jedi. I see him with a yellow lightsaber more so than green.
When i was a kid, I thought that Qui Gon looked like god. Now I understand that it’s god who resembles Qui Gon.
Master Jinn is indeed one of my favorite Jedi.
The entire Galaxy Changed with the death of Qui Gon.
I’d love to see a alternate timeline scenario where darth maul bests obi wan first and qui gon is the one stuck behind the force field
Can you consider including the sources for your information? Is this based on a book? Cause I'd be interested in reading it.
A good majority of things here is just theory crafting
@@kaiju4238 I think it would be a good idea to specify that, then. It's helpful.
Am I the only one who thinks Disney should make a palpatine based tv series? The guy pretty much ressurected the sith and orchestrated every big event in the SW saga
Absloutley hope they DONT.. They would ruin the character with wokeness and politicaly correct bullshit... mind you they are probably plan on doing it but as far as I'm concerned starwars ended (in a chronological order) with the events of Return of the jedi... The FARCEwars and all the spin off series woke bullshit is NOT STARwars, its FARCEwars and to me it does NOT exist and NEVER happened.
I would prefer that they move away from this era instead of milking it for all its worth.
The Republic and the Jedi Order have been around for over 20,000 years.
Interesting analysis. I can't say I agree Sidious was most afraid of Qui-Gon, but I certainly agree he relied on the Jedi's hubris.
@Ash Correll Sidious was technically still an apprentice under Darth Plageuis at the time of the Phantom Menace. His biggest goal at that point was getting himself elected chancellor. Qui-gon died at this time as well, so he was no threat to any plans Sidious and Plageuis laid down. They hid in plain sight, right in front of everyone.
Killed Qui Gon to early.. this theory makes a whole lot of sense and would’ve been awesome to see!!
Qui Gon was a true Jedi!
Wait a minute I understand he was out match to his master dooku and Yoda. But i keep hearing on Wikipedia and other book mentions he use to beat windu until he master vapaad
Qui-Gon also would've kept Anakin away from Palpatine, I'm willing to bet. He wouldn't trust the Chancellor and eventually would have uncovered who and what he was. So Qui-Gon's death was a necessity from a lot of fronts, as far as Palpatine was concerned. He was too intelligent, thought too far outside the box, and was willing to go beyond the Jedi Code if he thought he was doing the right thing.
Considering the horrors of the war and some of the orders the Jedi were given, I cannot see Qui-Gon willingly going along with being a general in the army. He might have even taken Anakin and left the Order outright when the war began, which would cause turmoil amongst the Order. Whichever way it would have gone, it would not have gone as Palpatine planned it to, and that was the real danger to him.
Palpatine feared: Yellow lightsabers, Nightsisters, Qui Gon, Dooku, Grievous, Yoda, almost any jedi that's great at lightsaber duels, Vader/Anakin, Padme and many others
You know when Sidious was a sith apprentice his master Darth Plagueis said Dooku was more powerful than Sidious an even can beat him in a lightsaber duel
The jedi order deafeted itself, if you are going to use a source of strenght to fight and enlighten yourself, you can't be afraid of the different elements that form that strength source, only by understanding it completely and not denying the negative elements of that strength will you be able to control it
How many times are you going to make this video my guy
qui gon was a good jedi master and a great father figure to anakin skywalker in the jedi council, if he wasn't killed by maul in the first place, he would train anakin instead of obi wasn that will never be manipulated by palpatine to become his apprentice as darth vader.
Always been a huge Qui-Gon-Jinn fan hope to see him in the Obi Wan series that would be epic. He was the only Jedi that seemed to be grounded in the force and questioned the things that should have been questioned always seemed a bit odd to me that the other Jedi were so blind to seeing what was clearly right in front of them.
The Jedi thanks impartially to Master Yoda. Grew stale and dogmatic like Sidious said. If only they would have listened to Qui Gon Jinn more things would have been different for sure.
@@willg.7775 He was the voice of reason that the Jedi never listened to if you can recall then kind of looked at him as a outcast but he had a unique skill to see in the force and could sense things the other's couldn't.
Now I better appreciate why he died in The Phantom Menace: If he's such a threat to Palpatine's plan, it makes perfect sense for him to be one of the first pieces taken off the board.
Also the death of the "good father" to be replaced with the "bad father"
I totally agree! Obi Wan is great Jedi, no doubt. But Qi-Gon... He had that righteous and gentle authority. Like a real father.
The worst part of Qui-Gon's death is that it was totally survivable. Being stabbed through the gut is survivable with our technology level. Much more so when the wound is also cauterized by a lightsaber and the technology of the pre-clone war era. What makes this situation worse is Darth Maul survives being cut in half. Funny how what wounds kill and others don't when the writer wants a specific outcome.
The goat himself Qui gon
Coleman Trebor obviously. Jedi, and a dinosaur! Nobody playin with that.
Speaking that Qui-Gon wasn't a powerful jedi just isn't right. Yes' Qui-Gon was not on the level of Yoda, Sidious, Windu, or Dooku, but honestly, who was? Maybe Clone Wars Anakin and Obi-Wan? Yet Qui-Gon was still one of the best duelists in the order, able to match Darth Maul blow-to-blow, being defeated only because Maul was much younger and resilient than 60-years old jedi master.
Insane how one person could have potentially changed the whole course of history in Star Wars..
Qui gon gin is awesome 😎
Probably feared his ability to put the pieces of the Sith "Grand Plan" together sure but I wonder if Jin coulda at all been able to fight him in ANY combat or Force sense an actually beat Sideous in such an event that they ever squared off.
U know the answer to that he lost to maul long before he became amped with rage for being used by sidious and cut in half by obi, but if u mean prime jin then maybe he prolly would be on par with prime dooku or right below yoda
Sideous was a master of all lightsaber forms, he just viewed it as primitive and beneath his powers in the Dark Side. Maul in extended lore has said if Qui-Gon was younger he couldn't have beaten him but Maul is no match for Sidious either, It's still arguable if Windu actually had an upper hand due to Sideous possibly throwing the fight to persaude Anakin, and he had the best performance against him.
@@brandonwright1377 yeah there's that "lost on purpose" thing. BUT Sith lie too an apparently it wasn't TOO beneath him. Sideous sure didn't have any problem pulling a saber from somewhere an waving it around or tossing it to whomever was around saying "use it" whenever it suited him. I imagine Plagues didn't FORCE him to learn EVERY saber style to Master level as he did. One of the theories is that if Yoda hadn't let him choose so much where to take the fight Sideous woulda lost his duel to the pint sized Grand Master. Which makes sense that 99.99% of the time no one ELSE woulda been better then the Dark Lord if anyone. Cuz apparently he began to use just his Darkside power due to losing the duel portion of that fight.
@@robertagu5533 it's straight up said he mastered all 7 forms so yeah he did, anything else you have to say about it is speculation. Not sure if he threw the fight just arguable. Still Qui-Gon wasn't beating Yoda or Windu or Deku so he doesn't scale to Sideous at all.
@@brandonwright1377 this 100% I think Qui-Gon was pretty powerful in his own right, but we also saw Sideus cut down 3 jedi masters in mere seconds, no way Qui-Gon would have been much different.
Where did you get all of this info about Qui-Gon's personal views? I'd love to read whatever it is that had it.
I have only watched 6 star wars movies. 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3. And I'm pretty sure I understood the beliefs talked about this video from just having watched the movie. As much shit as people give the prequels, they do a very good job at explaining who these new characters are with dialogue and actions. For example, one of the early lines in episode 1, when Obi Wan says "Master Yoda said I should be mindful of the future", Qui Gon immediately tacks on "But not at the expense of the moment". It tells you immediately that he shares the same fundamental beliefs as the other Jedi, but disapproves of the way they implement them. It's an agreement, but with a caveat. Not just a simple yes or no. And that's one of the early foundations of his character, we build it up from there.
@@dontmisunderstand6041 True, but we only get the bare bones of his personal doctrine.
Green lightsabers remind me of Teachers.
Blue lightsabers remind me of Police.
Why? Did I win a lightsaber or something?
I really enjoy the theory. Very likely!
Qui Gon is by far my favorite jedi. Not just because he challenged the dogmatic practices of the council, but because he himself had the potential to change the outcome of SW Canon itself.
Had he survived the fight with Darth Maul, he definitely could've trained Anakin to become the ultimate Jedi. I like to think about what could've happened had Qui Gon lived. But all great things come to an end, that includes Qui Gon.
Haven't you covered this already in a old video ??
Battle of the fates plays while Darth maul and qui gon jinn fight, they are literally battling for the fate of the chosen one
Agreed
When Darth Maul dueled both Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan, it's called Duel Of Fates.
The fate of the galaxy.
"Its like poetry, it rhymes". -Some guy named Lucas
If the Jedi opened there eyes they would’ve been figured the scheme out. The clone fives tried warning them, the whole thing with asoka, and why she left the order, it was right there trying to be brought to light, but the Jedi and there arrogance just wouldn’t wanna xhange
What if Qui Gon and Anakin mom live wood be a pretty different star wars
Yoda allowed the Order to become the Republic's enforcers. Their Luca Brasis. It's _all_ his fault.
Qui-Gon was the father Anakin need
Qui gon is the perfect grey jedi
Love him
This makes sense about Qui-Jon to be stopped. I agree the Jedi were arrogant and helped to lead to thier downfall. Yes I want to see him, it would be so fitting
Qui Gon Jin will always be the greatest Jedi ever known because of his moral humility and spiritual insight. If he was still alive after Naboo, Anakin Skywalker would not fall to the dark side, the Sith would not had won, the Republic would not had fallen, and the Jedi would had mature into something much better than they are.
So basically, Darth Maul is much more important to sidious plan. More so than people would think outright.
Такой мудрый и сильный джедай.
Bring fully one with the force, why did Qui Gon not inform the Council?
Seems a blind spot to me.
Great video though.
I enjoy each of them!
Where does Yoda fall into the aspect of the Jedi Order developing an attitude of being lost in their own hubris?
Квайгон классный рыцарь джедай.
Qui-Gon Jinn was a very special Jedi alright and a lot of things would've probably turned out different and better too had he lived. So of course Palpatine saw him as a threat to his evil plans and had Maul kill him.
Also YES Qui-Gon was exactly the father figure Anakin needed too had he lived and became his master.
Young qui gon looking like messi lol 0:52
Jedi!!!
Shame about Qui-Gon dying in Phantom Menace. Qui-Gon would seek answers, console Anakin and approve the wedding. Qui-Gon would duel Palps outright enough to have Order 65 executed and strip Ol' Palps of his political powers!!!
I would luv to see a scene that Qui Gon force ghost would reach vader in ROTJ before luke surrenders to him
Yes the jedi caused their own downfall even without sideous pushing it quicker than what the jedi already did themselves
This got to be the 50th time you re-upload this video.
This makes me wonder if he survived his duel with Maul and trained Anakin would he have been able to survive order 66 if it happened if he was alive that time
There never would have been an order 66 don't you yet it Qui Gon was the only Jedi who could have stopped it and I firmly believe he would have pursued the answers and found them in time as powerful as Palpatine was it literally took a Clone army in a surprise attack on the Jedi to win that war
