Dooku's greatest mistake in his potential to overthrow Sidious was not securing an alliance with Mother Talzin. She clearly hated Sidious and, given that she could have killed Dooku at anytime with his own hair, had no quarrel with him until he betrayed Ventress. Dooku through ventress could have secured his best ally against Sidious. The only interest Mother Talzin had outside of Dathomir apart from killing Sidious was her son Maul. Dooku probably would of had to rescue maul as part of the bargain but that would have been in his favour. In Legends, he envisioned the Galaxey being reformed and protected by a Sith Army and Ventress, Maul and other Jedi that had joined him like Sora Bulk could have been the foundation of that army. In short, Dooku didn't realize Vantress' true value to him...but Sidious did
At first, I was about to recall how Talzin nearly had Dooku assassinated, but then you mentioned that Dooku betrayed Ventress first. Good point.
P. S. BTW, on a kind-of-related topic: why did Talzin give Ventress a poison dart that would only numb Dooku's senses, but not kill him instead? In EU, it would have been explained that both Sith and Jedi have Force abilities that would let them counter whatever poison enters their bloodstream, so, whenever they try poison each other, they usually have to mask one poison with another, and then use one more, and it would be a latent one, just to make sure (as in "Darth Bane" trilogy). But how would the Disney-verse explain it?
@@anton.chigrinetc.96 I can only think that Mother Talzin knew that Ventress would not have been able to kill Dooku regardless. There's probably an EU explanation that Dooku would of had sensed it if the poison was lethal. Like in how Shaak Ti didn't sense that Fives had been drugged in season 6 when he was trying to warn the Jedi about the Inhibitor Chips. If the Kamino intended to drug Faives with a lethal dose Shakk Ti probably would have noticed it beforehand.
Back to Mother Talzinshe was already working on her own plan to bring maul back, part of it being that Dooku being lead to believe that the Jedi attempted to assassinate him

So the relationship between the Witches of Dathomir with the Dark Side is a symbiotic one, whereas between the Sith and the Dark Side it is parasitic. That... makes a great deal of sense
That would explain why natural Dark Side users didn't cause an imbalance in the Force whereas the Sith did
Shows that the dark side may not be inherently evil, but the sith twist it and make it such. I find a parallel between this fire bending in Avatar
@@stevenceja4706 Indeed; it appears the Dathomirian Witches can connect with the Dark Side in a way that is truly harmonic, not forced or unnatural, granting them abilities even the Sith cannot truly master

I love both Nightsister Magick and Sith Magic, but i'd love to see more Sith Magic I think there is much more to it.
I know this has nothing to do with Ventress, but I've seen people question how Morgan Elsbeth was capable of keeping up with Ahsoka for so long despite not being Jedi or Sith and Ahsoka standing up to opponents such as Maul and Vader. I think people who question this don't understand who or what the Nightsisters are, and just how powerful they can really be.
I remember watching the episode where Grievous and his forces went up against the undead warrior girls. I was about 4 or 5 years old. I had to have my grandpa shut off the episode because I got so scared

Mad Respect to the Night Sisters and their abilities
Although often associated with head horns (That being the men) Ventress and the nightsisters were also the human like species - Zabrak -
BUT 1 other thing that made them different on the - inside - unlike humans, Zabraks had 2 Hearts.
The Dathomirian nightsisters are like the true followers of the dark in a way....Th sith use it and bend it mostly....The nightsisters are what jedi are with the light but they use the dark...

So if the Nightsisters use of the Dark side of the Force is more akin how the Jedi use the Light side, would that mean that it actually is possible to use both sides without going mad like that one Sith Lord who tried to balance the Light and the Dark side of the Force if they used the Dark side more akin to the Nightsisters?

I can think of 2 Huge reasons why palpatine just needed to get his hands on
Ventress? A threat to Palpatine? She wasn't even a threat to Dooku. Dooku was never, ever, afraid of her. You mean to tell me Palpatine is greater than Dooku in power and skills, and feels threatened by one of Dooku's subordinates? Palpatine is a master at lightsaber dueling, and has mastered all forms of it. Ventress...mastered jar'kai, but sucks terribly at makashi. Palpatine's knowledge and power in the Darkside is unparalleled. Ventress...bald, angry, and got a lame excuse for hating the Jedi. Sora Bulq wiped the floor with her and he was holding back from not trying to kill Ventress. Star Wars is getting wild and unexplainable.
The fear is ventress and dooku attacking palpatine at the same time to kill him. The two weaker sith can beat the stronger sith.
@@pranc236 The two weaker Sith? In this case, only Dooku is the Sith. Ventress is a Sith wannabe who doesn't have the power or skills to defeat Palpatine. If Palpatine could cut down three powerful Jedi Masters in seconds, before facing Mace Windu, he would cut Ventress down in a half a second before turning his attention to fight Dooku, if it came down to a 2-on-1 duel. Ventress is not a threat to Palpatine, even with the help of a powerful Sith lord on her side.

@@pranc236 Why wouldn't he not order her death? Palpatine is tying up loose ends. Plotting the deaths of Dooku, Ventress, the Jedi Order, and all separatist members has always been Palpatine's plan. Ventress couldn't touch Count Dooku, even though she had the help of 3 night sisters, Savage Oppress, and Quinlan Vos. If Dooku had to fight Palpatine, Ventress would be of no help.
@@BlueSniper-nv2txyou're going off of your assumptions. Palestine explicitly stated that Ventress was growing too powerful in the force. So powerful in fact that he wanted her gone. It wasn't even halfway through the clone wars.

I am starting to think maybe the Force from two different galaxy is the true key to balance in the force, image the Powers of Sith or Jedi combin with the Nightsisters’ magic. Jedi might not be falls to the dark side as much

Honestly I don't think sidious feared her at all he once said I'm the comics there are those who wish to have power and those who have power when he defeated Maul's mother. Sidious rarely showed his true power and came off weak so people could be caught off guard and think they have the advantage, also why sidious wouldn't allow people to truly be trained in the ways of the sith but light saber combat. She was never a threat to sidious, their power is dangerous but never on the lvl sidious felt his life was in danger and let's be real sidious would have killed dooku if he felt she was better and taken her as an apprentice

I remember hearing the stupendous wave talking about a story of a darksider who had a lightsaber that could give the user energy and keep them fighting even if they were an inch from death, but they never knew where that inch was and could easily die. Stupendous wave in this video, you are claiming that only some hold the ability to use Sith magic such as venturous, because she was born with the ability to use this power, but in the legends, continuity, the apprentice of Darth Bane Darth Zena was able to use this power which is Sith magic quite skillfully, I may, and even without the help of her master, she was still able to conjure dark side, tender which attacked Darth Bane during their final confrontation on the planet of Ambria

A thing that confuses me, and I'm sorry if it's more a side point of this topic, but why do people who Sirh who train others in their ways STILL get surprised by, and angered with, betrayal, when one of the pillars of the Sith doctrine is "one will vovet the other's power", and another is "one will kill the other, so the power can be passed onto the next, and move forward the plan"? You can't train a Sith to be a Sith, and then still expect them to behave other than like a Sith. A little less, why did Sidious ever train Dooku in the Sith tradition, instead of just as a useful dark disciple? There were parts of using the Dark Side that he could learn, and be useful, without having to touch its deeper mysteries, and learn the parts like hungering for power, and killing to take it. Why did Dooku train Ventriss as a Sith? He could have easily taught her just the Dark, and had this Force user be more like him, and surpass the mistakes of the Jedi. He didn't even want to kill the Jedi; just show them they were wrong, and change their ways, killing only those who'd refuse to change, and hold back other's. In this way, Ventriss could have remained useful, abd not taken up some hunger for greater power, and authority. She wouldn't have been listing after his place, anymore than Talzin expected her coven to strike her down for her spot. Oh well.
It is a cool idea. I have asked how the Dark Side is meant to be used more "properly", as it is a part of the Force, so an interesting take.
Last bit, and I know this is a Legends thing, but it's weird, sometimes, how one needs ro balance the decision of the myriad writers who make up the work, because here we have another "breeding matters" angle, where people are focusing on some biological element of the mystical Force, and trying to game for stronger ptactitioners, while in other sources they show that the biology has little to do with it. If it was so much biological, cloning wouldn't have been retconned as so hard to do for Force-users, and the Crystal Star wouldn't have had two of its potent Force-sensitives have a kid with literally no aptitude; he couldn't use it at all.

Ventress will lose badly to vaylin the daughter of tenebrae, to satele chan who was one of the most powerful grandmaster in history, to jedi master fey who who was extremely powerful in the light side of the force, to nomir sunrender who had Skywalker like raw force potential and had hax ability like force sever and force harmony, Jaina solo who was a Skywalker and extremely powerful, leia organo solo will toy with her leia at one point became almost as powerful as grandmaster luke Skywalker
Well Ventress never had the opportunity to finish her training in any of the areas of the force that she studied in. Her Jedi master was killed when she was young, Dooku betrayed her in the middle of her training, and the night sisters were wiped out before she could really get into their magics. If she was at her full potential she would most likely be on the level of the greats.

She was not as high potentialed as Obi Wan, Tenebrous, Plo Koon, Maul, Plagueis, Mace, Dooku, Yoda, Sidious/The Mereks, The Solos Under Leias Line, The Skywalkers, Or Abeloth but still she was very adaptive, creative, inventive, and innovative when need be in Legends not as much in Canon while in Legends when she and Durge went up against Grievous the cyborg rag puppeted the combined might of them yeah.
Obi Wan never really had a high potential tho, he only got so powerful due to years of refining his skills.

The Sith rule of two is so damn dumb. Why train an apprentice if you're going to be afraid that they'll overthrow you? Especially when that's how the Sith propagate? Just why? "I'm going to train you in all my Sith lore so you can pass it on after I'm gone, but wait! I don't trust you! So I'm not going to train you in everything, and I'll eventually kill you. Then, I'll take another apprentice, even stronger, and do the same thing! Yes! The Sith will rule this way! Somehow..."

Im the Darth Plagueis Novel, Maul had a twin, Kycina gave Maul away so he didnt suffer the fate of Sacrificing the father, and Ventress remained. Halstead threatened the Nightsisters with an atomic bomb for ventress yet never abused Ventress by her own admittance. Plagueis took Ventress. Sidious trained Maul from Birth yet Ventress was well treated. Ventress can access darkside magicks. The Nightsisters worship Abeloththats whos voice Talzin has and the statues in their cities
