Jim, thank you so much for creating this beautiful bowl for the Canadian Occupation Therapy Foundation. The proceeds of the Auction bowl will go directly to fund Occupational Therapy and Science Research. It’s been a few years now that you have been doing this for us. We rely on people like you and it’s truly appreciated. Thank you my friend.
Hopefully it sells for a million bucks! Thanks Kim!
Designer Epoxy
LOVE the eyeball on the bottom! The island is cool! I appreciate ghosted resin close to the islands because it looks like the shallows. The figuring in that wood is stunning! The green and yellow is a great background for the burl archipelago
Totally! Thank you so much!
I put comments in the older videos only to let you know how impressed I am with your craftsmanship and imagination. I don't want anything in return. 😊
I do thank you for it!
This is not the first time I have watched this particular video. I love green and the gold with it, is stunning. I so enjoy watching the end product taking shape.
One of my uncles did wood-turning and also custom made furniture. I am now 75 years old and I still vividly remember his workshop with the wood and tools, and the wonderful smell of the wood and the shavings on the floor. It was bliss for me in my childhood years.
I can totally see that! Thanks
Designer Epoxy !!
Got ya! Thanks
Total boat is gonna freak! Lol j/k

One of your videos was suggested to me. I don't have a lathe or any of the tools you do. I'm absolutely fascinated watching you make your art. Some day I just might be able acquire one of your beautiful pieces! 😊
What a gorgeous bowl!! Your color blending technique is yielding you great results. And, the wood is so full of character and really gives the bowl such depth and interest!! Another winner!! Also, I'm crossing my fingers for another mid-week video treat to see what you make of the core. Can't wait!!!
Thank you so much!
Whoo hoo, what a gorgeous piece! That separation is fantastic!!!! Who ever gets that bowl is truly getting a beautiful piece.
Thank you so much!
every Friday we watch you instead of Canadian curling - and that's saying something! What a beautiful bowl - thank you for sharing!
Thanks 🥌🥌🥌
wow, the green and gold combined are so good together it almost looks like the bowl is glowing neon, and the pearlescent effect is particularly strong on this one. you get these silvery wisps in places when it catches the light just right and adds a whole new layer of interest.
i’d love to see you take on another all resin project again one day!
Got lots of blanks ready to do at some point. Thanks
Jim, this is one of my favorites. Absolutely beautiful! So nice of you to help the charity!
Thank you very much!
The green and gold together make a very impressive bowl. Another amazing piece of art.
This bowl turned out fantastic and whoever wins it in the auction is a very lucky person. DESIGNER EPOXY seems to be the way to go. I am encouraging my hubby (the woodturner in the family) to use it
It’s great stuff! Thanks
I love how it looks like islands in a sea of green. Almost like a map of an alien planet. Thanks for sharing another beautiful project!
Thank you so much!
Your color separation continues to improve. What a fantastic charity piece.
Thank you very much!
The swirls of gold within the green are so lovely, particularly with the light shining through. You are getting really good at achieving consistency with the color separation. Also, the burl has so much interesting character. I look forward to seeing how the smaller bowl turns out when you get to that one.
Thank you very much!
I love how you always remember to give back to others Brother.❤
Thank you very much!
The winner of this auction will be a very lucky person! I love the mossy ocean look of it!
Thank you very much!
Fantastic bowl and the gold mix turned out great!!
Designer Epoxy
Thank you very much!
Oh my days!!! The lit up beauty shots at the end really elevated what was a superb work of art into another dimension! Keep up the fantastic work, good Sir! 😎👍
Thank you very much!
I agree, Scott, I had the same reaction.
I love the Pearlescent colors. They remind me of the Bowling Balls of the 60's. I loved to bowl when I was a kid.
I see it! Thanks
Every one of your videos I have watched, I watch in its entirety. I enjoy watching the pieces go from a lump of wood to a piece of functional, eye-catching art.
Best part is that it's done by a local boy. Heck yeah.
Thank you very much!
No thanks needed, Jim. You've got an amazing third eye.
I rewatched the end of your video from today, the lit up bowl is absolutely stunning. Made me think of how a red, orange, gold, combo would give the maple burl islands look like they were surrounded in lava. Just a thought.
Yes, we might see that with some of the other pieces from the same burl. Thanks
@@SpragueWoodturning Awesome! But be careful the red doesn't overtake the other colors. Some red pigments are rather aggressive. I look forward to seeing this!
Hi 👋 Jim, I hope you are all keeping safe and well, That is a amazing peace ☮️ of ART, DESIGNER EPOXY, Make some amazing colours for epoxy resins, And obviously the way you mix them makes a great difference as well, stay safe, I look 👀 forward to your next project next week, PHIL FROM THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOULIN FRANCE.
Thank you very much!
Green and Gold are Australia's national sporting colours! Fantastic bowl, top 20 easy 😊
Thank you very much!
love the way the gold and green mixed together. Another mighty fine job.
Thank you so much!
Some lucky person is going to get a beautiful show piece and a charity get money. Fantastic job!
Thank you very much!
WOW, your stuff always looks soooo nice! Don't ever stop your talk-overs, it make this channel special. I don't miss a show but I usually watch on my TV so commenting is hard. Keep up the great work.
Thank you very much!
Thanks Jim! Love the colours. Green and gold is South Africa's national sports colours
Aussies too. Thanks 😊
Love the blend of the green and yellow. The person that gets it will love it. Have a good day.
Thank you very much!
Completely agree with you. Whenever I have a plan as to what a piece should look like before turning, the piece has a different shape in mind. Now I turn organically, I turn and let the piece show me what it should look like. Your coloring of this piece looks amazing.
Thank you very much!
I love that it’s a piece for a charity sale! Art is always a great idea for raising funds, and your work is top notch art! Gorgeous colors on this piece, it reminds me of the milky green carnival glass bowls my grandmother had.. fond memories ❤❤
Thank you very much!
I expected a dead bucket this time.
Definitely an eye in those bubbles.
Whoever wins the auction is getting an amazing piece.
Agreed! Thanks
As always Jim, your artistry is wonderful to watch! I also can’t understand why people wouldn’t watch your whole videos, we love your longer ones like these!
Guess I'm booooring, hahaha. Thanks!
Never!! Haha some people are just weird 😆
Whoever wins that bowl is getting a gorgeous piece! I really love the shape of this one, the "eye" adds to it (gave me Godzilla vibes) and even the green/gold is great!
Thank you very much!
This one of my favorites! I now have a new routine, i get up saturday morning in Ballarat Australia get a coffee and watch Jim's Next creation!
Awesome! Thank you very much!
Another beautiful piece, I like the combo colors ( The green has a calming feeling to it) we enjoy your programs. DESIGNER EPOXY looks like a product. Keep on turning !!
Thank you very much!
Jim, I love this bowl. The Emerald Green and gold has a really good look. You really pushed the depth of the Designer Epoxy on this piece, but I am glad it worked for you. It shows the rest of us some things that are possible. Thank you
Thank you very much!
I don't think this piece could be any prettier. Great work. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching
DESIGNER EPOXY for the win!! That gold dispersed perfectly making beautiful highlists in the emerald green!
Totally! Thank you very much!
My wife and I love your videos - it's amazing to see your art come to life!
Thank you so much!
Very beautiful bowl. The winner of the auction will be very pleased. The gold accents running thru it are a nice touch.
Thank you so much!
Georgus piece,Jim. Thank you for another wonderful Friday morning video. I really look forward to it!
Thanks for watching
The burl looks like a sleeping dragon. Beautiful piece.
Thank you very much!
Love, love, love how beautifully the green and gold works with the maple.
Thank you very much!
Looks like an exoplanet with a wooden landmass and a green sea. Psychedelic beauty.
I see it. Thanks
The best happy accident " bubble eye " - very cool. Love the green and gold. Hope your bowl fetches a really good $ amount for the charity. It deserves it. Fun video to watch as always. Thanks for all your great content.
Thank you very much!
Love the bubble eye, lol. The green and gold look great and do look like islands. Never thought about the resin chipping off and breaking skin. Great learning point, thank you for taking one for the team. Designer epoxy
Thank you very much!
Mind blown ... absolutely stunning combination of wood and resin ... almost looked like a planet from the side with the continents floating in a green ocean ... fantastic 👍
Perfect timing ... just as I typed my comment ... you mentioned planet 🤣
Lol. Thank you very much!
Designer epoxy, another beautiful piece of art by a true artist. Try as I might I can never create such a Master piece.
You can do it! Thank you very much!
I love your work! I also like the way you explain how the DESIGNER EPOXY representative works so well with you.
Thank you very much!
I found animals in the bowl!
Seahorse, armadillo on the outside, and a woodchuck inside!
Love the green and gold!
Thank you so much!
I love this bowl. I just want to thank you for your commentary. I learn something new every time I watch your videos.
Thank you very much!
The green and gold is gorgeous.
Thank you very much!
The final result is stunning. The green really worked with this wood tone -- I'm surprised because the green is so vibrant and fresh, like spring leaves, and it really works with the natural colors in the burl. Gorgeous piece. 💕
Thanks 😊
That is absolutely fabulous. I'm envious of whomever ends up with that. Occupational therapy is such a good cause and often overlooked.
Thank you very much!
Jim I just love the gold in the green - it adds a bright luminescence and makes the green seem more 3-D. The burl holes make is seem like we're looking up into the light through pond water. So lovely!
Thanks for watching!
Huge understatement = “not too shabby”! Great colour separation indeed.
Thank you very much!
The islands add so much to the bowl. I like the gold ribbons. Beautiful work as always.
Thank you very much!
Emerald green really does work so well with the burl another stunning piece well done Jim. I couldnt watch your last few videos so now I have 3 in a row to binge which I'm looking forward to.
Glad to see you back! Thanks
I like both the elevation that the resin foot gave it and the natural look of the burl. Decisions, decisions. Nicely done, as usual.
I think that the decision was taken by the bubbles in the resin. Without those the additional elevation would have worked in its favour. It is still utterly fabulous though.
I liked the elevation ad well but just too many bubbles. Thanks
Designer epoxy. Another amazing bowl. I know that this bowl will make someone very happy.
Thank you very much!
This reminds me of our Aussie sports team colours - the Green and Gold is iconic! I love the size and shape.of this bowl, just a stunning piece. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work Jim, I really enjoy watching your great videos ❤
Thanks for watching
I think that is a magnificent bowl!! I love the way the resins swirl into each other and the burl is fantastic!!!
You should be proud of this bowl, Jim!✅️
I certainly am, thanks!
Really nice how the burl formed "islands." The colors looked really good
Thank you very much!
Wow wow wow, absolutely stunning. Emerald green and gold is amazing and the bowl with the light at the end of the video was outstanding. Keep them coming. Can’t wait for the next one ❤
Thank you so much!
Absolutely amazing! This bowl turned out so gorgeous, the green and gold together adds so much class! I truly love this piece with all the wood showing through like islands! I even saw a seahorse! So cool. Great work Jim!
Thank you very much!
Green is not my favorite color, but I think that turned out beautiful. I like how you call the owner of Designer apoxy for advice and then pass that on to us. Have a great week.
Thank you very much!
This is an absolutely beautiful piece! The play between the green and gold is gorgeous and the happy accident of the eye on the bottom was fantastic! Well done!
Thank you very much!
I like the fact that you shown the damage incurred while rushing that also caused you injury 👌🤗
For sure! Thanks
This is 100% one of my favourite pieces, I've been binge watching you for so long and I'm obsessed with your videos!!
Thank you so much!
This is so beautiful Jim - our favourite one so far! Wonderful to do it for charity, I’m sure it will do well at the auction.
Thank you very much!
Designer Epoxy - Your work is amazing and the tips/tricks along the way are always helpful. Your videos are always a pleasure to watch!
Thank you very much!
Those colors look beautiful together and the separation of the colors turned out great. I think there is going to be a very happy bidder in that auction. Take care and looking forward to next weeks video.
Thank you very much!
Jim - you are such a good teacher! And sharing your thinking process really brings me inside your creative process and technical expertise. It's interesting with this bowl how the glitter in the pigment "washes up on the shore" of the wood. It's looks like waves crashing, and appears slightly blueish/white on the video. How neat is that!!
Thank you very much!
I think this is my favourite project so far. Looks absolutely beautiful.
Thank you so much!
I love the beautiful creations you make... but wow!!! Today's green and gold burl bowl was just stunning !
Thank you very much!
Absolutely love the emerald green! One day I will try to turn a bowl with epoxy😀. Thanks to you Jim, I successfully turned bowls with inlay.
Thank you so much!
Nice work. very generous of you to donate this for auction, thank you!
Thank you very much!
I liked the green foot on this bowl. Man, that shattered resin had a field day with your arm!
Yup, it can make you pay for your mistakes, lol. Thanks
I like that description. Islands in a green sea.
Thank you very much!
Your vids are a highlight of my Fridays, I look forward to them each week! This bowl turned out to be absolutely beautiful. I love the colors and separation you achieved and the wood was fascinating. Thank you!
Thanks for watching
Another great bowl, whoever wins it will be very happy.
Thank you so much!
Beautiful burl and I love the patterns in the resin. Great work and I hope it raises a lot of money for charity.
Thank you very much!
The streaks in the resin really add to this one.
Thank you so much!
Beautiful work, as always! The colours of the designer epoxy look so good in this piece, love how it looks like islands in a swirling green and gold ocean. Can't wait to see what you do next.
Thank you so much!
Oh, the green and gold with the burl look awesome! Beautiful!
Thank you very much!
First thing I thought of when I saw the bubbles on the bottom of the bowl was oh there’s a monster living there! Lol
Yes, lol. Thanks
Wow, an amazing piece and the color separation is great. Wonderful to see it using deep cast. So glad you took that epoxy foot off. Another great video. Cheers. Designer epoxy
But I wanted to keep it, lol. Thanks
Yay, spring (no snow at least) opening! Weird how much I was looking forward to that LOL.
This project turned out great. I wasn't sure about that green, but your taste always comes through.
We were all looking for that, lol. Thanks
Hi Jim. LOVE watching your videos down here in New Zealand. You sure are an artist!
Thank you very much!
Another beautiful looking bowl. Really like the islands. The green and gold go perfect together. Great work Jim 👍.
Thank you very much!
Wow. Beautiful colour. Love the way the wood looks like it's floating on the outside but inside you can see the way it really was. Fabulous video.
Thank you very much!
Wow, the holes in the burl light up in fantastic ways!
Thank you very much!
❤ Thank you lots for creatating such a buiety for a wonderful foundation! God smiles upon you! ❤
Thank you so much!
I'd like to see something done with blue and silver epoxy. Designer epoxy is the bomb. Keep up the great work Jim 😎
Silver is on the way, thanks!
Ok, who chose the trippy countdown music ?
Jim - that you ?
😹 just playing with you man. Can't wait to see this
I hate it too! Lol. Thanks
I think that bit with the bubbles looks really cool. Beautiful piece altogether.
Thank you very much!
Great piece, truly appreciate that you do works for charity. I’d love to see this color combo with that awesome deep purple as a contrasting addition. ~Smile oN
This one the resin foot looked “appropriate” to bad for the bubbles, also completely agree with not hiding the wood
Yes, that would be nice! Thanks
Jim, the color combination came out very nice. Appreciate the safety tip and that no injury ensued. Terrific completed bowl👍.
Designer epoxy
Thank you very much!
The charity bowl is beautiful, love the gold touch. I really enjoy my fridays.

I try to watch every one of your videos. Designer epoxy
