Beautiful. You’ve really changed my perspective on the color orange, which I have not historically been a fan of. I personally would prefer to see the first coat of finish go on in real time, at least part of it. It doesn’t take long and it’s such a dramatic moment when the glossy shine emerges and the colors all pop.

I heard about getting a divorce bowl for smashing, but usually you get those made out of glass or ceramic so it shatters easily.
I'm thinking that was a different kind of divorce bowl you were asked for.
I'm trying to just let the ads play out because you really do deserve to get paid for your hard work. These are very informative and entertaining videos. And this is something that can entertain me while I'm working on something else that's not as engaging, like folding laundry, organizing a new pic dump from my phone onto the computer, making 9 million phone calls to a government number to get the one that actually lets me into the waiting queue...etc. I've got a lot of time to kill right now, so I might as well spend it being entertained, watching a work of art miracle into life!

Another GREAT project Jim. Just an FYI, when hollowing and have the tailstock up for support you can cut all the way through and the core will just stay in place and NOT go flying out across the shop. I also as you know I use the Kropro cartridge from Mike Huinter.

I’m just worried something might get jammed and destroy the bowls, lots of time and money involved, lol. Thanks John!

This bowl is spectacular!! The combination of the maple burl and the pearlized orange resin was a fantastic choice. Whoever ordered this bowl is sure getting a beautiful piece of art!
    WELL DONE JIM!
