- In this episode, we are continuing our road trip vacation in a cheap, oil-leaking, rear-end-knocking BMW E46 M3 with 145k miles. We are traveling from Salt Lake City to Los Angeles with an overnight stop in Las Vegas. While in LA, we sort out the rear end of the car with the help of kind fellas from EAD Motorsports and BimmerWorld that sent much needed parts lighting fast!

It's true, Phil and his team are actual magicians. It's the only way we can figure out how he always makes things like this possible for our customers. Glad your buddy enjoyed the gummi bears! Next US trip needs to be east coast and a stop by BimmerWorld HQ - hugs all around!
Hopefully you guys can be part of a future European road trip too!
Yeah and bring Raleigh back home to the USA.
You guys are the best, love ordering stuff from you.

Sreten has managed to make something rare nowadays: we do not only like the content he uploads, more than that, we like him. He's that accessible, intelligent, humorous guy everyone likes. It's really nice to be here and watch you uploading this type of content.
Thank you!
I agree 100% with the comment above 👍
He don’t suffer fools though
Exactomundo!
Yup, loved that post on the board about the e60 m5
Your wife is the real MVP for putting up with this on her vacation
When I saw your wife while you was driving without getting dizzy and even reading… what a treasure you have, you don’t really really know…
To be fair, I’m sure she knows these CZcams videos are paying for the trip ;)

@@froggy0162 let them vomit their desperation and loneliness on the internet. If you know, you know
GF sreten is smart lol
What I find most impressive is that your girl seems totally fine with that entire journey. My wife would’ve bailed day one. Don’t ever take that for granted my friend.
I mean... The car is part of business expense :D
I agree, my girlfriend starts yawning every time I say something about my e30, that is every single time. Unbelievable!
@@SunnyBoy-pe4up I get mine back for it when she's trapped in my 540i's passenger seat
I’ve been easing my girl into cars. I just learned to show her the cars I think she’ll enjoy. My advice? The Doug demuro vid on a rolls Royce phantom or something bc of all the crazy features. Then find out what types of cars she’s into and go from there.
Be wise in choosing a wife. If she doesn't understand your hobbies and interests, that's okay. But if she acts like it's painful to her to support you, find a new woman.
This kind of content is great, don't worry about it being different at all! It's a great diversion and I love every minute of it!
Couldn't agree more with this. I get the feeling that Sreten is a little out of his comfort zone posting this type of thing but it works so well. If I was to offer an opinion as to why it works so well for him I would say it is down to the fact that he seems so genuine in all of his videos that we feel like we kind of know him and it's like watching a mate have a bit of fun on holiday.
@@FatNFurious Couldn't agree more with you! This could become a series, especially if travelling would allow Sreten access to more interesting cars. Not that the usual videos aren't always a treat!
Yep, great fun.
came here to write the same as the guys above this type of videos/vlogs are amazing!!!!!
Yep. Only sad thing is that the episodes felt too short and you left craving on the next one.
10:05 Sreten "I don't gamble at all".
Throughout M539 history, Also Sreten "I bought this broken BMW from Dubai, Marseille, Karlsruhe, Chicago, Salt Lake City.... "
Me: Nodding in agreement "I don't gamble either".
Also me in September *buying a Range Rover sight unseen from an auction. Not gambling at all.
Oof, ballsy move man haha. How did it turn out? I grabbed a sight unseen 94 Mercedes E320 Wagon with 216k miles from Copart in Georgia, drove it home to VA with no issues. 7k miles later and while it's a money pit, best purchase I have ever made. Cheers!
🤣🤣it crossed my mind as I said that, I only like to gamble with broken turds 😅
@@chadtacular You can check out the video on my channel (nowhere near the quality of Sreten's of course so please lower your expectations ahead of that 🙂).
The S124 wagon is very cool. I have a 1998 C43 wagon too. I'm a big Mercedes fan &. BMW fan & Ford fan & Bike fan - yeah, I have a problem!
@@FatNFurious Will add to my watch list! Whoa, never heard of the C43 wagon, that's awesome. Subscribed!
Marie is a definite keeper man. Sacrificing her time with you and holidays without filming and riding in a half broken M3 across the country with the ever possibility of being stranded in the middle of nowhere in order to fulfill our entertainment delight!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
These episodes feel like top gear specials. Loving them congrats!!

This is exactly why we love the car community, helping each other out, hanging around, fixing junk cars and having a good time.
We definitely finding it enjoyable. You fixing BMW, while at the same time traveling across Untied States and sharing your experience, is priceless and you will have something to look back at 20 years from now.
The balance between scenery and wrenching is perfect. It tells the whole story. Watching that car get better and better is very entertaining. Thanks for taking us on the journey.
The guys at EAD we’re just on point with letting you use their shop and all their help, the road trip/ holiday part of your video was fantastic and brought back memories for me having travelled the western states on numerous road trips myself
Any and all content you produce is gold. Your channel is Genesis. Not the biblical phenomenon, the car company. It's on fire now, pushing out one great production after another.
This is fantastic. I would love to see more road trips on the channel.
Imagine same trip with old E21..
I love that Maria's nails match the interior of the M3. And hats off to you for fixing this thing as you tour the country. It'll be a perfect car by the time you leave!
"I don't gamble," says the dude driving a clapped-out E46 M3 Convertible from Salt Lake City to LA.
Another great video! The guys at EAD look like such nice chaps and a lot of fun.
I'm starting to want a BMW again..... 🙂
He is the reason i got a e38 750il six months ago 🙈
Hey, Sreten. This format kinda remember me when you started the channel, flying to Spain to get those E31.
It turned out great as usual. Great video, my friend. Enjoy your “vacation”.
Absolutely love this series - And to what you said at the end. I think a lot of us would appreciate the occassional break from the wrenching videos every once in a while. Like when you finish a big project, maybe do some driving through the alps, switzerland on some scenic roads etc. That would be absolutely lovely to see
Those guys at EAD are pure gold!
Just discover your channel a few days before EP1 of the US Trip, watched the M5 E60 playlist and the E46 Touring to get to know you, now I'm watching this, and it feels so cool to watch.
Greetings from France, you're amazing !
This is the best thing after Top Gear Specials with the old trio. I hope you plan on doing more adventures like this one.
Such awesome content! This could be a series on TV! Watching you nurse BMW's back to health while traveling the world. There are neglected BMW's everywhere that could do with your touch Sreten. So happy I came across your channel, and to be able to see it grow to where it is now. The only videos on CZcams that I click like before even watching! Awesome stuff greetings from South Africa
I used to live in LA and SB. Watching you drive Mulholland and the 101, roads I used to use on my bikes and my Ms, really gave me a huge nostalgia. Wishing you all the best for the rest of your trip!
You're pumping these videos out! Keep up the awesome work.
Your style is entertaining enough Sreten that I would happily watch a video of you painting a room complete with the paint drying phase.
"It started in santa barbara not being able to change the oil in my 530i, and here I am.." Lol you've come a long way man, becoming the #1 diy bmw mechanic on youtube
This kind of content is awesome. You should definitely do more buy-a-broken-car-on-a-road-trip kind of videos. Really enjoyed watching the first two so far
Of course we enjoy it. I hope you had a nice time in the USA. Keep up the amazing work!
I've done some wrenching on BMW trailing arm rear axles, and I've never seen a bushing slip out like that. Great you got it fixed!
You definitely need to get over to Bimmer World and say thank you… get them to give you a tour of their facility as a bit of an advert / payback 👍
Happy to help you out! Looking forward to the next episode!
Love this vid. Yes it's different but always enjoyable when you put your spin on it. I wish I had known you were in Vegas. I've got a fully equipped garage here and would have very much enjoyed meeting you. Great series so far!!
About wipers, same issue was with my E53, changed relay of wipers and it started working perfectly!
Love the travel VLog style with heaps of nature views. Very wholesome ♥
Nice to see things mixed up a bit.. Thouraghly enjoyable....👍
OK Starbucks Mike you have outdone yourself this time with great content and surrounded by great people, and step by step of the trip and repairs, nice workcation 🤣🤣🤣
Your trip videos are as interesting as your dojo material, it would be great to see similar trip in Europe maybe around Switzerland and Italy :)
You have never driven in swiss roads if you recomend them...its a money scam and many drivers have been fleeced by the swiss cops with unfair and disproportionate fines.
Italy is 1 traffic jam after another, and the only nice roads are filled with tolls.
@@rronaldreagan I actually have driven quite a lot and the views are amazing. Sure there are some sketchy bits with tight corners and loose rocks but with police it’s the same as Germany or Austria they don’t like you speeding where you shouldn’t…
LA native here and I will check out the guys at EAD for sure. I think I saw this bad boy on Craigslist listed as an M539 resto. I sadly dismissed it as BS and missed the opportunity to snap up one of your restorations. Great content as usual. Thanks and keep it coming.
Absolutely fantastic video only spoiled by CZcams throwing ads in every 3 minutes
Awesome hospitality from the guys who let you use their lift and workshop. Got to love how everyone has come together in these videos to help make your journey possible. Really enjoyed this series.
Epic content!! Car lovers the best people around!
I can't waith till you start on the BMW E92 M3, but for now, enjoy your (work) vacation/ roadtrip with Maria.
I love the community that you've built here. The fact that you can travel around the world and have people reaching out to help you is amazing.
Enjoying this little series. There's excitement in improving your steed as it takes between each destination.
Wrenching is fun and educating, but it's a means to maximizing time spent driving. 🙂
This is pure car guy content! Thank you streten for taking us with you to US
Absolutly love this series! You inspired me to buy my first unreliable N54 BMW a few years back and now I'm on my 6th. Can't wait for the next episode!
Who doesn't love a road trip purchase adventure. Should add that to all the projects. Getting a neglected turd to the Dojo is half the adventure. I have done this 6 times now with broken BMW's and each time has been a life altering adventure. I have taken 2 of my sons to get their first car from Boise and Charlotte driven back to Milwaukee. with one loosing the alternator bearings along the way, and the other suffering a blow out on the Idaho/Utah border with only a 25 year old spare and no Jack or lug wrench. How you deal with adversity is half the adventure. Loving this project/series. More raw, not as polished as the Dojo stuff. But, when your exhausted and frustrated is where the true personality of "Mike" comes out. Thanks
VERY enjoyable. Thanks again bimmer wordl, EAD, and all the lovely people making it possible
I love this route. I picked up my E90 M3 in LA in 2021and drove it back to Minnesota via Vegas. Stunning scenery. Makes me want to harvest another combustion engine before California is all electric!
US. residents take their country for granted, but you see it in all of it's beauty and now we can too. Hvala Sretene, you are the man! Thank you to all the guys along this beautiful way!
I like how you picked Agoura Hills when in Los Angeles so you could drive Malibu Canyon and PCH. Well Done. Great episode. Next time when you are in Vegas I recommend the Wynn. That's where you and Maria belong. Thanks for the outstanding content.
Really looking forward to watching the episode with Jason Camisa ! Can't wait !
Knowing that another E46 has been saved makes me sleep much better at night 😍
I love this US special content, even though its not something you normally do. Keep up the good work Sreten!
Boyz at EAD in Agora Hills are King!
So cool to see you doing your stuff in my neck of the woods! (Finnish dude living in San Diego here)
I think it’s fun seeing a different perspective on my own country and still getting the Bimmer content I want. Keep it up 👍
Definitely enjoying this content. I’m sure we’d all enjoy seeing your creations driven to interesting places whether that’s the US or Europe. Italy, Spain and Portugal have some great roads to get some unbroken BMWs put through their paces.
Portugal has the N2 road is good for spirited driving and eating some regional food
A little bit of wrenching. A little bit of driving and scenery. A little bit of catching up with a mate. A good amount of nice folks. Great video.
Don't sweat it Mike.
Can't wait for the Cammisa cameo
Gofdamn Mike! This project is bringing out the best in our community. It's incredible what you have done in such a short time, thanks to BimmerWorld. The content is fantastic, as usual, thanks to your charming charisma and complete devotion to every project. Thanks for always giving us your best. Stay safe, and we’ll see you ok the next one, my friend.
Content keeps on getting better!
Don't forget to take a break sometime :D
Streten, my father and I watch your content together and we’ve made it a favorite past time of ours now. 😎
BMW guys are such a good community. restores your faith in humanity.
Man I enjoy so much watching this trip across United States. Have a good vacation!
Sreten, these videos are immaculate, well done!
Nice combo of road trip, scenery, friendship, and "wrenching"!
I must say, I don’t even have a BMW, but find your content useful. I apply a lot of the principles to wrenching on my car. Keep up the great work “Coffee Mike”
Love this US tour, you have to do it once a year and different parts of the country
Another amazing episode!
You know what I'd love to see you work on? An e34 535i manual... Or even do one of those conversions with putting the v12 into the e34
Don't apologize for showing me California again...I grew up out there and it's home to me, I love it all.
Those scenes from SL to LV were epic!! You made my day...again...
This channel is definition of perfection
Super enjoyable episode. Nice scenery and great to see some varied content on your channel. That said. Still look forward to more Dojo Wrenching. :)
After finding you i bought my first BMW! Your content is perfectly natural and your comedic timing needs no adjustment unlike the wheels.
You are truly perfect just like me with BMW's, I will always watch all the ads for you!!!!
Man it's always a treat to watch your videos. Great work, beautiful landscape and equally amazing people you've met along the way. Looking forward to the next part of your journey man. Cheers 👍
Great content! Fun being along for the road trip and it looks like you guys are having a great time. It's refreshing to see that there are so many nice people everywhere.
Dude. Thank you for the torque specs on screen. This is amazing for helping us out. :)
Who caught the sped up dashcam footage at 2:30 when he was not driving warp speed? Love the series, keep it up!
Thanks Mike! What a trip and surrounded by love from fans and your precious. Bon voyageee!
I'm quite enjoying this series. Love the regular content too but variation isn't a bad thing.
I've never owned a BMW but I am a car guy and I do enjoy your videos! Great work and stunning vista's!
Streten, travelling the world, buying and fixing BMW's during a road trip is pure gold content. It's something not many car youtubers can do successfully. Incredible stuff as always!
Glad to see you enjoying the western half of the US. The car you bought “looks” really good. Even though I’m a E39 guy. You got to drive what we here call our Autobahn- i15 freeway it’s the closest thing we have to it. Hopefully we get to see more of your new E46 on the channel when you get home.
I live in Boulder, Colorado and my youngest son started school in San Diego about a year or so ago and I have been able now to drive between San Diego and Boulder about 3 times - always enjoying I15.
Yes, I do find it very enjoyable! Thank you for the effort you put into your videos, man! Already can't wait for the next one!! ♥
Seeing all those So Cal roads and the wonderful scenery made me miss being "home."
Maybe I should move back ...
As a Portuguese citizen who's never been to the US, I was stunned when you were on the highway and seeing Las Vegas at the end... Beautiful
That’s not even beautiful, you need to visit America.
Ever seen NYC ?
Excellent content, as always. Different but just as entertaining! Love your episodes - keep them coming. Best thing on CZcams.
love the videos. no one else is as detailed as you!
For the RTAB. You can also use a long bar from the axle nut to the RTAB Bracket for the correct angle.
EAD Motorsports, it's in the game!
absolutely loved this episode too, cant't wait for the next one
you are a legend
The MGS sound effect at 20:28 was perfect timing!
WooHoo - LA native here. Hope you enjoy your trip. Back to the SB stomping grounds. Not a bad life.
"This is different type of content,..., but I hope you still find it enjoyable." I love the roadtrip videos, kind of mixed in tourist sightseeing, other people showing up and it's still equally relaxing to watch. But, also, that statement made me check out the videos a bit more. I haven't missed one in a long time but now I went back to see the views and you've got videos with twice the number of subscribers, that is just great. The followers seem to really be watching, and you have some extras, I guess it's safe to say you're doing something right. Thank you for these videos, this is my "relax and watch strangely pleasing video for 30-50 minutes" time.
The car community is the best community. I have a feeling that the journalist will finally get noticed. :)
Welcome to California ‼️
Bimmer World is the Best ‼️👍🏻
Enjoy 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
nice episode again.
super nice of those people who help too.

Iv learned so much from watching your content…this channel has made a pleasant difference to my life
