A lot of older radar detectors don't have the filters for certain bandwidths or whatever like more modern ones do. So you'll get false alarms/readings due to security systems, motion sensors, blindspot monitoring systems from certain vehicles and automatic doors on some stores set em off too. Sometimes they have the functionality to filter out certain ones, but haven't been programmed through the user settings.

One thing that would really make it shine is to replace the front grills. The first thing I did with my White 2013 E70 was replace them. They were the chrome/silverish and I swapped out with matt black and gloss black trim. It completely changed the look from family car to sports car. I have the original steering wheel and was going to change it to what you swapped it out with. I've owned mine since 2017 so I don't know if i'll ever get to it. I do need to change the thrust arms and front shocks for sure. Thanks for the amazing detail and leaving in the verbal outbursts when trying to get the console out. You have no idea how many times I have done the same thing trying to fix something and yell "why BMW why? Who thought this was a good idea? Who thought this through? Answer: nobody!! " 🤣

Just a reminder that the engine sealant loctite is extremely toxic. It can kill you by drowning your lungs in fluids if you absorb enough of it through your skin.

Great video! I admire the sound logic you apply when venturing into the unknown. I am very surprised they put a LH thread on those cam actuator bolts. As far as I can make out, from an engineering point of view, it it is totally pointless. Maybe a psychologist could explain it!
