Man knows what are you doing it actually works I use this video and follow the exact steps he said to take in my Dodge nitro 2002 and the seatbelt chime no longer goes off while driving with no seat thanks great video
Thank you so much Scott...the chime on my ram is.....was, so annoying. :) I thought I would have to rip half the dashboard apart to get rid of it. This was fast and easy...thanks again.
I got sick of ALL chimes. I took the clear plastic cover in front of the gauges, remove the gauges... ( one multi-pin connector, and 6 screws for my 2006 Grand Caravan) I was able to see the round piezo disc in the circuit board. It's round and maybe 3/8"or so thick. I stuck a scratch awl in the little hole in the center, wiggled it around and destroyed the piezo. No more chimes. I do this to all my cars. On some, the chime ( piezo) is hard to locate. Solution=put a soft tube in your ear ( think stethoscope) and search around sonically. The job on the caravan took me an hour: total. SOME cars dealers will tell you where the piezo is.... making the job easier.
Forever? Maybe on your year model, but not so on mine. This only worked for a single use for me. Meaning this chime came back when I turned the truck off and back on again on my 2017 Ram Eco Diesel 1500. Maybe I need that freak'n chime removed, not disabled My truck is my office and the last thing I need is a chime going off in my office while talking to a customer.
I have taken them out completely on and older model for a different reason but if you do that you lose all your warnings. That includes low gas, door open, all that stuff.
Thank you so much I often have to take my sister to school and never go more than 30mph only a few blocks so i dont put the seatbelt on but it dings every 5 seconds just did it and no more dinging great vid exactly what I needed! 👍👍👍
What happens if you just plug the seat belt back in while you're driving because you want to wear a seatbelt I used to drag race all the time I always want to wear my seatbelt
If you buckle up while you're driving it just locks up like it was supposed to and the light will go off. If you want to reverse the whole thing just do the process that I showed you again and then the alarm will warn you again to buckle up. It will go back to the way it was.
Thank you for this option to stop some madness. I have an 2004 & tried this numerous times & no go. The bell also checks the passenger belt, too. So, is this is a 2- person job, each 3x in 10-second click & unclick simultaneously each belt? Your thoughts? What year is yours?
From day one, it dings if drivers' is clicked & passengers' is not. We'll try to do both & see what happens. Will update you on this soon. Thanks again & Merry Christmas🌞🎄
@@RealLifeProductions Thank you! No, neither one has been silenced after numerous failed attempts. I do appreciate ypur response & your efforts to help in this capacity. Best wishes & stay sane in this wacky world💯😇🕊❣
It stays disabled until you change it back. If you never change it back it stays disabled. You can change it back by doing the same thing over again. The warning light on the dash still lights up unless you hook up the belt, but no sound.
I'm guessing it will. Give it a try. It works on many models. I'm pretty sure I've heard of it working on Caravans. Try it. Can't hurt to try it. Good luck!
The light will stay on. It doesn't hurt anything, it just let's you know that your seatbelt isn't on. So now you still get a warning, but not from an annoying chime. You'll get used to the light.
Your seat belt light will still come on and stay on as long as you're not wearing your seat belt. It doesn't hurt anything or effect the way your car runs. This video only shows how to silence the warning buzzer. There's a few more things you can do if you want the light to stay off too. I'll post another video on that soon. Man.. I'm going crazy.. I just bought 2005 Dodge Dakota.. The seatbelt light never goes off!! Plus the chime won't stop until like 10 minutes after driving. I followed video and it still won't stop.. But like I mentioned.. The seatbelt light ALWAYS STAYS ON
Dang man this actually worked for a dodge caravan! I’m glad I didn’t have to cut the wires like the other videos tell you to do! Thank you!

I have a 2008. Maybe you have the passenger side turned on somehow.
From day one, it dings if drivers' is clicked & passengers' is not. We'll try to do both & see what happens. Will update you on this soon. Thanks again & Merry Christmas🌞🎄
I just found your comment... 2 years later. Did you ever get it figured out?
Once you disconnected the driver's side the passenger's should be silenced too.

This worked first try on my 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan
Forever disabled or do you have to do it
Every time you get in
It stays disabled until you change it back. If you never change it back it stays disabled. You can change it back by doing the same thing over again. The warning light on the dash still lights up unless you hook up the belt, but no sound.
Is there a way to work with a 97 dodge caravan
You might be able to pull the fuse for the seat. I'm not sure if that will work but it should once you cut the power for the seat.
Worked
Would this work on a caravan as well?
I'm guessing it will. Give it a try. It works on many models. I'm pretty sure I've heard of it working on Caravans. Try it.
Can't hurt to try it.
Good luck!
@@RealLifeProductions thanx
Not sure. Did you try it?
What if the light never goes out?

Sounds like you got a broken seat belt sensor. Check your wires. Might find a loose one unplugged somewhere or shorted out. Check your fuses too.
What about the passenger side ?
You only need to do it for the driver's side then that covers the passenger side too.
Thanks from Russia
You're welcome.
Tried & confirmed on a 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan. Now I can break the law in peace without the Nanny State chirping at me thanks doc
Cool. Thanks for your comment.
Never advise people to not wear their seatbelts!!! 🙄 smh
2015 Grand Caravan worked
Cool! Thanks for the comment.
