The hound's tooth pattern is called "pata de gallo" in spanish, which means "rooster foot". Worth mentioning that for the torchic shirt

Had to look it up, but in Finnish it's called rooster step! By the looks of it, a lot of languages relate it to chickens.

I doubt Flygon is ruining the Krookodile's day....
The Ultra Sun pokedex entry states that Flygon creates sandstorms to help Krookodile hunt, sort of like a symbiotic/mutualistic relationship.
With this information in mind, I definitely appreciate this shirt design a little more.

I bought the Surskit shirt as soon as it was available! And I gotta mention that the honey and candy and bee-themed stuff is a reference to Surskit's Pokédex entries where they say it secretes a sweet substance from its antenna to ward off predators! Love it

Actually fun fact about the makuhita design! The reason why they are paper in a circle fighting machop is because it's what kids used to play sumo :) the circle resemble the ring, and the paper Pokémon are the sumo wrestlers! How you play is that you shake the table carefully to see who can either knock over the opponents sumo or knock them out of the ring first! :) this shirt is absolutely creative!
I like how the Flygon shirt references how it and Krookodile often hunt together

The Blaziken one was a bit too subtle for my tastes, but I don’t really have many complaints. Overall, a good job done with many of these designs.

The Nuzleaf shirt is just really well designed. Has a tree trunk right on the button line so that it doesn't break the pattern. And the trunks on the collar match up too. Not sure if just for that shirt cut, but if it's like that for all sizes, that's impressive.

I believe Makuhita's folded paper design was based off the paper sumo game that's played in japan else well as some other places where you make a folded paper like that and rumble the table to make them push each other out of the ring.
OKAY BUT how clever is Nincada's? It's hidden in the pattern which is itself subtle enough that from a distance the shirt just looks plain white because NINCADA IS A NINJA. YOU DON'T SEE A NINJA.

The torchic one is even cleverer since it's a "pepita" (roughly translated to nugget) pattern in the back. Even better in german, its a "Hahnentritt-Muster", roughly translatet to chicken-stepp/chicken-feet pattern.

I have to agree; as much as I love Hoenn, some of these shirts are very loud, and not always in a good way. The are a lot of good ones, but the bad ones hit pretty hard. Also, when I saw the title, all I could think about was that one outtake from the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney anime where the Judge tells a young Miles Edgeworth "Oh! Your suit is loud!"

Bro this is the first one I watched and these shirts are so cool, and I love the Shroomish one!
I got a Hawaiian shirt from them with the Dustox pattern with moonball buttons. Wanted it for so long so glad I got it but sad they’re closing down. Reason why I wanted Dustox with moonballs is because the pattern was really good and Dustox is based off of a lunar moth hence why I picked moonball buttons.
I will always remember solrock as my first shiny, shame that it took until gen 8 to get but hey.

My favorite pattern is the Skitty one. It’s not too brightly colored nor too faded out. Plus it is very cute, even though I don’t knit.
Least favorite is the Ludicolo pattern. It’s too busy and colorful for me. I do wonder what inspired it.
The fully evolved Hoenn starters' shirts look incredible, Glalie and Torkoal look great, Salamance is incredible, Metang's subtle-ness looks awesome, all the Legendaries look fantastic and I need to get myself 4 Deoxys shirts
I liked quite a few of the shirts from gen 1-2, not enough to buy but that Groudon shirt is so good I might just get it.

I had been checking for the Spheal one daily until it came out and instantly ordered one. It reminds me of the Winnie the Pooh original book artstyle, which I read a lot as a wee babe. Personally very happy with it but I get where you're coming from

I think my favorites were torcoal, solrock, metagross, and groudon. Those are the shirts I would be willing to pay money for.
The Makuhita one is a game of paper sumo. You put two folded paper characters on a wobbly board and tap the board to make the papers bounce. The one that falls over or is pushed out of the circle loses. For a fun way to see this in animated action, check out the short anime "My neighbor Seki-Kun"

Flygon's seems disappointing, I love Flygon it's one of my favorites, but going from Vibrava's shirt that I really loved to Flygon's, it feels underwhelming. Just like with receiving megas Flygon seems to have drawn the short straw.
I LOVE the Treeko and Grovile shirts! Beautifly's is nice too~. Seedot's is adorable! I could imagine myself wearing these to work.

Groudon is my favorite pokemom from sinnoh and is the only sinnoh pokemon from my top 10 list and im happy that the shirt is amazing. Though im pretty worried that the sinnoh shirts won't be as good as I hope but I look forward to seeing what they do

I really wished that the mudkip one was going to be great.
