11:53 Maybe this was a designer from the Netherlands? The funny part is that in Dutch a 'pinecone' is 'dennenappel', which literally translate to 'pineapple' (dennen=pine) (appel=apple)

As a human from the Netherlands i can confirm.
Pineapple used to be the word for pinecone in English as well, but it fell out of fashion with the introduction of the ananas

In Spanish both a pineapple and a pinecone are referred to as "Piña"

A lot of these make me feel like either the designer really likes 70s wallpaper, or really hates Johto. These designs do not scream $100 to me.

I really like the patern and colors in this design: combined with russet, brogue leather shoes and caqui polo pants, it'll look fancy and fashionable...
The problem with it is the difficulty to combine with warm and light hues for other clothing and accessories that would complement it.

For example Totodile is probably by favourite Gen 2 starter; followed by Cyndaquil and yet I hate both their shirt & evolutions shirt designs

Corsola is frickin adorable in every way possible. Look at it’s big derpy smile.
Each fabric pattern comes with a description. It gives context to some of the designs that don't make sense at first glance. And if you read them you'll see that they took inspiration from Pokedex entries from throughout the generations. For example, there's stories of sailors seeing the stars appear in the ocean floor. Which are migrating lanturn

The feraligatr one reminds me a lot of a kind of textile art of Guna people, an indigenous group here in Panama. It's called "mola" and it looks very very similar, look it up, you'll see.

I noticed for the Legendary Beasts they put the kanji for *thunder, fire, water* in as one of the squares for their respective shirts. Doesn't make the shirt better but still a nice touch.
The square designs in Raikou, Entei and Suicune are actually very stilyzed Kanji for "Thunder", "Flames" and "Water".

16:33 Okay, I think I get why there's a Johto diorama in the background of Octillery's. Johto is one of the more Japanese inspired regions, and when I visited Osaka the octopus was almost like it's 'symbol'. Octillery is a symbol - and on the shirts resembles the massive models that street food of Osaka have outside their shops - and the diorama is similar to the advertising signs (I.e. the running man) all over the touristy section of Osaka.

I don't know about the characters on the Entei and Suicune shirt, but the "square" on the Raikou shirt is actually a kanji character (it means lightning/thunder iirc)

The lantern one kind of makes sense when you remember that in some Pokedex entries it's says that a nickname it has is deep sea star ... or am I thinking of another water pokedex entry
This seems more like a “reviewing every Pokémon shirt in X words or less format” would fit more than the cinemasins parody.
As Skarmory is one of my favorite bird Pokemon, I really like that shirt.

Flaaffy, Marill, Slowking, Octillery, Mantine, and Larvitar ended up being my favorites of the batch. I was disappointed that Murkrow ended up being so underwhelming, though, seeing as they're one of my favorite of the generation.

The squares on the legendary beast shirts were the kanji characters for lightning (and thunder) 雷, flames 炎, and water 水.
something you could have mentioned on the amphoros design is they used there tails as the nucleus of an atoms and the rest of there body as electrons

I think the igglybuff one is cute! I like the kind of diagonal stripes pattern it has and the colors are pretty nice!

Crobat shirt is my favorite from this batch. I’d actually wear one of those. I liked the design of the Piloswine shirt, wish they’d done that for Swinub instead. Also listening to you squee over the Porygon2 shirt was really adorable. 🥰
