Original unpatched even killing all npcs give like 20 humanity the entire game. Its way laggier. Lost izalith they took out a lot of enemies and thosr feet dragons in the lava? They actually run at you if you step even 20ft within their range and also have ridiculous hitbox. Orstein was impossible to single out so you almost have to kill smough first. And gwyn unpatched. Is a nightmare. Original ds1 unpatched will change your entire opinion of remastered and you can EASILY see how much people have complained about difficulty. They even made purging stones cheaper and added more in the game. The only benefit from ds1 unpatched is you can easily cheese levels from buying an item from an npc for 10 souls and feeding it to frampt for 100 souls. Other than that remastered i would personally consider a joke compated to the raw version of the game. Yes its still challenging and i did die. But i mean comparing..it was waaay easier.
