I totally agree with the green machine and white towels.
We have a big upright Hoover with an upholstery attachment, but the green machine. It’s so much easier.

I don't use or like microfiber cloths. They feel sticky & my hubby is in early stages of COPD - so the fibers that are released can be breathed into his lungs. There is research that says they are not good for the environment & us
I'm late seeing this but what I did this year was I put everything I wanted in the cart and then saved them for later, everything that was way lower on Prime day got added back to the cart and came home to me!
Hi Angela. I followed a really good recipe a while ago and it works great for those who don't like fragrances. You save orange peels, some vodka, cinnamon sticks, cloves. You boil a whole bunch of the peels and the cinnamon and cloves for about 30 minutes and let cool for another 30 min. You can strain and add to a bit of vodka or alternative (this was a recipe I used 20 years back) and then add some lemon oil or any vanilla extract even into a spray bottle and it honestly worked on a lot of smells that my friend's cat had. Your home will smell good just from the boiling of this also. I personally use just eucalyptus and sage oil when I feel like it but the recipe I swear by for people who really avoid fragrances.

But the kids gets the colourful towels, this way they can keep track of who’s towel is who’s
We also have different coloured beach towels per person
I have 4 kids, 2 cats, and dog. We are all extremely sensitive to fragrance and detergents. It gets stressful. I use dawn dishwashing liquid orginal for anything. Alcohol works amazingly for oder removal for fabric and it dries very quick if you do a light mist with a sponge. I sprinkle a little baking soda on the carpets and let that sit for a bit then vaccum. That helps alot.
Please share with us any tricks on keeping those white towels white! I haven’t had much luck with it even though I’ve used bleach.
I do the white towels and rags too. I got them specifically because I could bleach them. People always think I'm crazy for having white towels, but it works great.
I smell everything too! And we love our Pura diffusers too 😊

Fabric shavers are great. Go heavier duty. The littler ones are cheap.
I have the fabric shaver and love it, but in hindsight, I would have gotten the rechargeable one rather than the battery operated one. Maybe it’s just mine, but the batteries die soooo fast! I barely get one use out of it.

I only use white towels, hand towels and wash cloths because being able to use bleach. The microfiber rags really work, I want to get a defuser with oil. Thank you for all of the tips!!!!!!

I need to know how to wash my walls, like the whole wall and not just spots. We have a pellet stove that I noticed leaves soot on the walls (the colour in most of the house is called banana milk) and my kids walk around and just drag their fingers or bodies all across the walls. I'm not sure how to clean the walls from too to bottom without leaving streaks from the buildup

Are the white towels 💯 cotton? Because I got white towels for this same reason and bleach doesn’t do a thing, matter of fact later I noticed the fabric blends often say don’t bleach.
Do you buy the cleaning solution for the bissell green machine? What do you use for a heavier stain? (Like vomit, poop, etc)
