Saving is good, investing in your health and earning potential is even more improtant. The total amount you can save is just the difference between your abslolute mimmum costs (food, shelter, clothes, transportation) and the actual level of living you're doing now. Cutting waste is only substantial IF you're wasting lots. But increasing your earning potential by growing your revenue streams is limitless, and will give you the life you really want, not simply the "learn to be content" lifestyle.

There will always not be enough when you’re in your wants. There will always be enough if you’re in your needs, most of the time unless you’re waiting

The rooms are feeling so warm and inviting. Two suggestions: Buy some floor up-lights that sit behind the furniture. Leave them on all the time and they will caste a lovely glow to the rooms. A large square coffee table centered on the sofas will help connect the seating and visually make a larger square. Also, a great place for the kids to play with toys.

Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your experiences. It has definitely giving me the reassurance I need…I have a 5 year old who is as sweet as a sugar cane itself and a 12 year old son who is going to loose his mind when he finds out we are doing homeschool , but mama’s instincts are never wrong and for the last 3 years I been seeing him struggle at school… so I know he needs a change from that environment.

Amazing video, and that homemade bread doesn’t left my head😅. So encouraging,I had to stop doing any hobbies and just trying to go through each day with the strong will baby , while have no family or friends , as I’m in a new country.. but yea every time I look at other people.. seems like no one struggles so bad , and i would wander why I can’t put it together.. Every person have their own circumstances,we definitely need to realize that more

Hi Angela, this is the first time I watch your videos and everything you say are good suggestions. However, speaking for self and others like me, too much for one video. For instance. The 10 minutes tidy, focus on that only and if you want to make the video longer, you can elaborate, so people like me can picture ourselves doing it. I have ADHD and it is so very difficult to go through multiple rooms in 10 mins. I get squirreled off immediately. In 10 mins I have now created 20 different issues regarding cleaning, straightening up etc. I am super frustrated at the end of the time. Multi tasking is a great thing and I excel at it but it gets out of control quickly.❤❤

I disagree with it being in your "genetics." It's learned behavior like everything else. Parents can be frugal but fail to teach their children. Then, those kids grow up without the knowledge of being able to budget and manage their money.

“I don’t like to be a miserable person” made me LOL. I feel like it’s easy to get stuck in a misery rut. Great motivation!

Thank you very much for reminding me of all the things my parents & grandparents used to do. I do most of them now, but canning just isn't one of them. Living alone, it just doesn't make sense for me. And even though I do cook and eat at home most of the time, I don't cook for a lot of people anymore so I'm going to start getting rid of the extra large cooking items (baking dishes, etc.) I just don't use. Or at least severely cut down on them. Once again, thank you for the reminders!

Ask me what my job is …I always say I am a domestic engineer..do I get looks what is that. I have mostly been a stay at home mom for 45 years, now it is the grandsons.

I love raising my children, homeschooling, gardening, canning, budgeting and having a healthy marriage. I can’t imagine putting my children, husband or home last. I have zero regrets raising loving healthy children and having a loving marriage after 28 years. Not many women can say that today.

You guys! My kids are now 10, 7, and 5. I remember telling myself not to forget what it was like when they were all super little. Oh my gosh, it was all consuming. What was so hard was keeping up with all the cleaning and dishes and laundry, sleep, and my own hygiene lol! I hated it when older women would try to tell me what they are doing NOW to manage those things and that I should be doing what they’re doing. But they all have amnesia and forgot what it was like to have a bunch of babies. Their methods would not work. I haven’t forgotten! But now that my kids are older, I no longer struggle as much with all the house chores because the kids are old enough to do them with me. The struggles are different now that they are all older, I’m homeschooling, they are in activities and I’m running around, while being an introvert 😅 So it didn’t get easier necessarily, just different! And I’ve learned to give myself grace for where we are at as a family. Not to compare to others.

waste not want not is always how I think. I put water in the end of the shampoo bottle, cut open any tube or container to get every last bit. use coupons, meal prep from scratch, make 12¢ iced coffees at home. diy my cut/color & mani/pedi. buy new from thrift stores & keep my clothes/shoes very neat. exercise at home or outside, take free online classes, go to free events like concerts in the park or museum wednesdays. I save a ridiculous amount of money from the very modest income I make monthly and people think I *look* wealthy. I definitely am not but my life feels rich 🤍

Love the room! I hesitate to ask but...does the piano absolutely belong in your lives? That also would be a great spot for a comfy reading chair, etc. Also, it would be a great corner for your record player. I just had to ask. The room is very cozy, great job!❤
