I would also add carabiners to the list of open-ended stocking stuffer gifts. My kids use theirs and a big ball of yarn to make zip lines for their stuffed animals. It’s fantastic!
And bungee cords! My son steals all of our bungee cords to build all sorts of things 🤩

I have never before heard anyone say they didn’t like magnatiles. Most played with toy item in our home and planning to add to our collection. I’ve only heard everyone say they are the best or number 1 gift they’d recommend. Great stocking stuffer ideas!

Thanks for not putting restrictive age ranges down. My kiddo has special needs, but is also academically brilliant so he could handle a higher math or spelling game for 10 year olds but maybe a dexterity or physical game for a 4 year old would be appropriate. We know our kiddos and we can challenge them and have fun with them appropriately. My son is 7 and I bought a dinosaur comb from your link because he will like that and the comb will encourage good hygiene skills. My little boy has played with MagnaTiles everyday since he was 2 1/2 years old.
Just thought (probably obvious) playing cards are such a good gift for older kids. You can get them in so many fun colours and themes to match their interests and they’re so versatile and you can play alone, with one person, with a group, make a house of cards, so much potential AND they’re pretty cheap. My neurodiverse brain is getting way too excited about this at 1am 😅

This was a fantastic list. I’ve added a fort making kit! It’s basically a parachute type cover with big clamps! Forts are well loved in our house!!!

My Grandpa was THE BEST at finding good toys at the dump!! Old peddle cars, a battery operated ride on car are the two I remember most. But we could always count on something good coming back from the dump with him.
I got a pair of cheap but good quality (army surplus with a Russian language name!) binoculars for Christmas when I was 8 and they were such good quality they are STILL my keep-in-the-car or shove in the backpack when I'm going somewhere where I might want to see further pair! Love the range of toys you have, lots of memories!

I completely agree with you about the stop watches. My kids woukd get distracted with other things on thier phones while trying to use the stopwatch app. A real stop watch pulls them away from thier phone. Ita a win.

absolutely LOVE this list. Shared with my son as he was just saying this morning how he was wanting to get non candy stocking stuffers for his kids this year. I games him a few of our go toys that we did when he was little... oranges ( they fit great in the toe), toothbrushes, packages of instant oatmeal (which they usually ate for breakfast on Christmas morning), jewelry for the girls, matchbox cars for the boys.

WOW, I have a hard time because peoples titles are usually to pull you in then you find out they were very misleading! I loved this. With 8 gradkids (1 is 14, but the rest are under 10) these are awesome ideas and I can do multiplies. A lot of these are going in my cart. Thank you very much. Merry Christmas 😀🌲

The “dumpster scooter” is amazing!! My 4 and 7 year old each have one. Super durable the Micro brand is what we have they get left outside all the time and still in great shape. We also let our kids ride them in the house.

We have a set of mini magna tiles I scored a couple of years ago and ALL my kids love them! I take them to restaurants (they fit in a pencil box) and it keeps them off devices!
I thought it was my watch that beeped but then you said “what just beeped?!” And I had a mini heart attack 😂
My 13 year old rides on the scooter with my 3 and 4 year old. They fly through the house at any given moment. We also have that swing. We use it within the home and they love it.

This was absolutely FANTASTIC! I have a 10 yr old grandson and we help my daughter with his “bag” (our family version of stockings heeheehee). I’d also add a Yoto player for a gift idea. I bought one for my then 5 year old daughter for Christmas last year and boy has that thing gotten used. Getting both my boys one this year as well as stocked up on tons of yoto cards during their Black Friday deal.
magnatiles were our #1 played with toys for all my boys!
I am dying of laughter about finding the scooter at the dump! My kids went with my husband a few weeks ago and found the same thing! They absolutely love it and it was free 🤣🤣

Great gifts for kids. about flashlights, I think I have given aaaaall kids I know flashlights as gifts over the years. Flashlights are fun to play with and gives a feeling of security. A good flashlight to keep in the car or handbag is also a good gift for grownups or teenagers.
A nice gift for older teenagers/young adults both boys and girls, that might seem a bit strange to some people are hand tools. Things like a hammer, good quality screwdrivers (I have given my partners siblings older kids Bacho screwdrivers) aso are great gifts and last forever or until they loose them...

I quickly realized that stuffing stuff was a waste for us. I changed Santa's game and our tradition is that Santa brings fruit and other foods, treats and a little candy.
We have the micro maxi scooter here in the U.K. and Micro is a fantastic brand. All the parts are replaceable if any get worn or broken. We’ve just replaced the back wheels on my daughter’s scooter (which previously belonged to my son which had bought second hand from someone online) is still going strong. We’ve even upgraded it to light up wheels.

Here are all great kids' gifts ideas! We all complain about how kids are lost without a techy " toy" in their hands. Yet we don't seem in a hurry to supply them with gifts that encourage creativity, sharing, team work, the "thrill of winning and the agony of defeat ( a pogo stick comes to mind 😂) etc. They are so addicted to tech games, which encourage isolation and do not support social skills.
I got my greatgranddaughter the 3 wheeler scooter several years ago. They are great for younger children as they balance easily, stand upright when not in use and are easy for a littler child to handle the the heavier 2 wheeler scooters, and more reasonably priced!❤ ❤❤❤❤ 21:57

I have watched so many videos on what to get my 6 and 10 year old. I like practical gifts not just toys they play with for 2 days then gets buried in a toy box. I LOVED this!! I wish you would do a basic Christmas gift one not just stockings!

I love the idea of widdling wood, highly recommended for the older or more responsible kids. But a word of advice, invest in good cut-free gloves for them...and band-aids, because those gloves don't protect against accidental pokes.

You are so creative my daughters are grown now only had two daughters compared to your 8 😮 which impressed me to know end. Anyhoo my daughters were encouraged to put pillows all over floor and use as stepping stones lol so much good fun so many things like that and imagination creativity. My son is 11 and its hard to find him non junky items for his stocking.
He is getting some small lego sets i got on sale, card game, water bottle and some figures. He is also getting a new slinky which i get him nearly every year as he plays with it so much it ends up bend and twisted that he cant use it anymore.
Might get him that spinning thing he would like that.
