I have never seen a parent purchase presents with so much common sense in mind, you’re so intentional and really know you’re children it is amazing.
If parents did this more they would not waste so much money. Too many parents buy what THEY think their kid would like.

I’m watching this while trying to get my four month old down. We were almost there until the piano and just that little bit had my own little music man jamming lol.
This seems like my kids. We have so many of the same things and our kids have the same interests.
My daughter gets One gift from us parents. A Kid Digital Camera that also prints pictures.
She'll get a Fairy hat and wand from a family friend, and a few books from grampa.
For my husband I got a dark Gray cashmere scarf (he Needed One) and a beautiful notepad. I'll probaly get a wafflemaker or something along those Lines. We have a small house, so storage space Is crucial. We aim to give quality gifts that cost a bit more but that we really can use. We're also having a family advent calendar, so every 3days each of us gets a Little gift. Usually snacks or small festive décor.
The gift I'm most excited to give is...Life, lol. I'm due at the 26. with our second child.

Oh my gosh! Those robot claws have been around forever- I got one as a Christmas gift when I was a kid. How nostalgic. I still have it- I use it to get laundry that falls behind the dryer.
THE BEST! I will never feel guilty for following my sons actual Christmas lists and things they are so randomly in to and just know they would love.
Ball pit is a blast, cleanup not so much, but it becomes the PERFECT rainy day/cold week type of toy to rotate in.
My son's first Christmas was about 3 weeks before his first birthday. We got him thw brown bear brown bear board book in his stocking and he looooooved it. And some beautiful play whales for the bath and a kinda plain but beatiful quality play tent..i got it intentinally plain so he can color on it when he gets older. For his birthday we took him to the zoo and gifted him a plush brown bear toddler Seat which he also looooved. So excited for his 2nd Christmas, he's got such a personality on him.
Some bugs , book has been our son’s favorite forever ! And it’s such a quick easy read on nights you are in a rush
The boat with the cars i got for my son when he was bug enough to sit up alone and play in the tub safely. It's made with safe materials and HE LOVES IT. He's now 4 1/2 and still plays with it in the tub. Then we dry it off and it has to come back out to the livingroom where he plays. As a matter of fact, he's playing with it now. Yup, it's a good toy, hos favorite.
Where The Wild Things Are.. is my favorite book. A hidden gem of a book. The colors are muted and the storyline is a teachable moment for parents. Love this. I am 32 and still read it. That is how good it is. Bravo on the video.

Growing up, we always had hygiene essentials in our stockings! Toothbrushes, toothpaste, shower gel, deodorant, lip chap. That kind of thing. And usually chocolate. I loved it and still do it with my family.
I usually make my budget & then divide it evenly per child. I have a Christmas wishlist & then buy things as I see the biggest price drops on items to get the most for our money.
My daughter is 15 months and I’m so excited to give her the play kitchen we got for her! 🥰

I love gift giving too! It’s hard with a 15 month old since I get what he needs all year long, but it will be fun to give him some extra things now that he has the ability to be excited. William reminds me of my baby. ❤
We got that ferry boat set last year for Christmas, and it get played with daily. Hands down one of the most loved toys in our home- great for both bath time and playtime!

I LOVE how intentional you are with your toy buying. I’ve definitely been a lot more intentional with my gifting this year.
We got my daughter a pottery barn doll house, and let me tell you how OBSESSED and excited she will be. Yeah it was expensive, but it’s actually going to be used. The gifts I got her last year were so unintentional, stuff she wasn’t interested in playing with. And the mom guilt was real. This year is different and it makes me feel so good about the gifts I’m giving.
I seriously love all of these! Especially the gifts for Eloise. My oldest daughter is only 2 but she honestly would love everything you are giving Eloise and they sound very similar. I see her being the same as Eloise when she is her age! Also if I ever have a boy I love all the things you are gifting Theo. I’m saving this for future Christmases!

Hi Delilah! If your kids are really into the training chopsticks but find them kind of difficult, there are training chopsticks with holes where the fingers are supposed to go. I'm Chinese and that's what I plan to use with my kids starting when they're about 2 :)
I’m so excited for the things we got our kids this year. Almost everything was from small businesses. We got my daughter a wooden espresso machine because she always wants to use my breville to make me a coffee!

I love how in tune you are with who your kids are and bought them gifts based on that, not just a list or whatever the "hottest" toys are. I am being much more intentional this year as well. My 15yo son is getting a bunch of Civil War history books(He wants to study the Civil War in college!), some hair stuff(he's started taking pride in his appearance), and some electronic accessories(shower speaker/earbuds/battery pack etc). I am most excited to gift my 3.5yo a huge lego set. He found a small set a couple months ago and has taken such good care of it and playing with them daily. So I am excited to let him expand his creativity. I am also excited to give him an artist easel for his canvas paintings. He loves painting and gifting his creations to family. My 18mo's most exciting gift is a travel wood train set and a battery operated train to go with it. He saw it at a train show and LOVED it. We also got a larger track set for at home. Then we got an activity table for them to share. It's flat on 1 side for trains, and a lego base on the other for building. And we got them a puppet theater to share as well. It's also multifunctional, there is a market stand on the back. Almost all their gifts(from family too!) are themed to go with either the table or the theater/market.
We decided to do a thrifty Christmas this year! So I’ve thrifted every single one of my daughters toys (15 months) and then most of my sons (4 years)!
Those lanterns are way cool -- my son uses his lantern to be an archaeologist, gaze at stars, light puppet shows -- so open ended and fun!
You are so intentional and selfless even though you said you don’t like to buy a lot of plasticky or blinky toys you still went ahead and got them because you know your children will enjoy them i love this ❤️ your gifting for them not for yourself

Oh my gosh I also LOVE gifting. I’m so excited to have a toddler to gift things to now because she was just a little baby last Christmas. I’m so excited to gift her this baby doll we saw in the store that she just fell in love with. We also got her some accessories for that baby doll like a stroller, bottle, and even a toddler sized baby carrier! Too cute! Can’t wait to see her sporting her baby carrier and baby doll on our neighborhood walks🥰

My kiddos love books. Our local bookstore does a buyback program and so we get the used books from there a lot because my oldest goes through them so fast. One thing we found that my kids love are the personalized Wonderbly books. They love being able to see themselves in the books.

My parents hid gifts in our suitcases haha. I found them eventually, but props to them for the creativity.

So many good ideas! We've given some of these to our kids over the years. Each of our kids gets one item for Christmas (plus some books) and the one I'm most excited about is my soon to be 10 to old sons. He's my most sensitive, sweet, child and loves to help with the little ones. He wants to wear my ergo all the time to carry the baby but it's just too big for him. So I found a carrier that is meant for smaller adults. He's going to be so excited! And the baby, who loves to be held and toted all over by him, is going to love it too!!
We do our stockings for St Nick's day and I always give them the practical (yet so fun for them) gifts there. The three older boys all got pocket knives and head lights for a hat (to do chicken and garden chores in the dark) and all 6 kids got new water bottles. They LOVE them all. Just shows that toys don't have to be the gifts that make the day for them!
The thing I'm most excited to gift is a Stocking full of makeup for my best friend. Her kids recently put all her make up in the bathtub and destroyed it and she doesn't have the money to replace it. So I got her all the essentials and I'm so excited!

I just bought my 2.5 year old Theo a little digital camera of his own because he is OBSESSED with taking pictures. It’s in the shape of a fox, it’s so cute. We purchased it from Kidamento. The thing I’m most excited to give for Christmas is a gift for my 19 year old daughter. We bought her a digital frame 🖼️ She loves pictures and taking pictures so i thought this would be the perfect gift for her. One cool thing with this digital frame is that others can upload pictures onto the frame via a code that comes with it. Such a neat idea!

I hide presents in actual grocery bags in a closet, and then wrap as soon as my tree is up (day after US Thanksgiving). It is the only way my kids won’t find things, if I get more I wrap them as soon as I get them. Many people worry my kids will unwrap them, but they haven’t yet thank God! 😂

I have two kids and have no idea how many I have for each or how much I've spent. Next year we're going to try wear, need, want, read. Or something similar. Because we went way overboard this year. I probably have more than you have there for three for two lol
