I have been doing this for a while now. I only wear dresses - one piece and I’m done. I don’t have to worry about matching. I look and feel way better this way. After having a baby this spring I didn’t wait to lose weight, I bought nice, new dresses I could nurse in all summer. It really is nice to not have to think about what I’m going to wear!

Yes to all of this. I recently spent a little money on myself to thrift some things I really loved because I hated everythig in my closet. One thing I have done is made my pajamas just a few pairs of cotton joggers and a few tshirts that don't look like PJs so if I'm making breakfast or doing chicken chores and the mailman pulls in I don't look like I just rolled out of bed 😅

Here is what I do as a mom who manages our farm on a day to day basis. I have 5 outfits that work well for actual farm work and 3 or 4 nicer outfits that are more town/church appropriate ready to go. I pick them all out on Sunday. Then a quick shower and a little make up and I am ready for lunch out with friends or a date night😊

    Dear Angela,
I have just discovered your channel recently and love your videos.
I have been wearing just dresses as my uniform for a good year now and find them to be completely practical while still feeling chic.
I am from Germany with 4 very different seasons and I find it very helpful to switch out my seasonal pieces every spring and fall.
I have a very small number of dresses per season (about 5 dresses + 1-2 Sunday dresses) and two simple apron dresses which I only wear around the house to do the heavy cleaning.
My ONE struggle with this system is, when a garment needs to be replaced. I want to be so intentional with the items i choose, that I spend way too much time, searching for „the perfect dress” which kind of defeats the purpose of a uniform making my life easier.
So your message was a very good reminder to have a little grace with myself and allow for change and growth in the whole process.

I wear the same outfit to work every day. I’m a bookkeeper, and I wear dress pants and a particular shirt. I have three of each so they last a week and then I wash them on the weekends. I was self-conscious about it at first, but now I’m not at all. That’s the beauty of being in your late 50s… you quit caring much about what other people think and do what’s best for yourself and the people you love. 😊

I am not a mum yet but I have been uniform wearer for years now. I have six dresses that I wear during work week, 50s style, I have shoes to match them, two pairs only, I have accessories to match them all, two cardigans and one bag to match it all. And I just pick one combination every morning and I am done. Five minutes and I am ready. Definitely worth doing, it has enabled me to have an actual morning routine I like.

I match my clothes up on laundry day. Pants go on a pant hanger and I hang a shirt with each of the pants. Then, in the morning, when I get dressed, I just have to grab the first 1 in line. When doing laundry, the clean stuff goes to the end of the line. This way, I'm rotating all my clothes and wearing everything I have. I keep my wardrobe very simple. I have black leggings in the winter. I have different color long sleeve T-shirts. And I have some nice sweaters if I want to dress up. In the summer it's black capris with T-shirts. I have a couple of tops with flowers or other designs for dressing up. I were 100% of my wardrobe by doing this.

Another option that we did for our whole family is have a color for every day of the week. Monday - Red, Tuesday - White, Wednesday - Blue, Thursday - Green, Friday - Yellow/Free Choice. This was great to keep the laundry colors to make whole loads of lights/darks, etc.

So I changed it up. Black leggings and a flowy, tunic top. Easy, cute, and comfy. I have a few tee shirts that I wear that maybe aren’t as cute but they serve the purpose. ❤️

I’ve been doing this for 25 years. My “uniform” as I have called it consists of navy/black leggings & jeans for fall winter and navy capris for summer. I have white tanks, short sleeve t-shirts, long sleeve t-shirts. Depending on the season I top it with button ups. I love being able to just grab. I found a white shirt sleeve t I liked and bought five. I like the crispness of white. So glad you did the video.

I am retired, I wear jeans 99% of the time. In the winter I wear long sleeve mock turtleneck shirts when leaving the house. They all go with my jeans, in warmer weather I wear polo shirts when I leave the house, when I am home all day I wear tee shirts or slightly more worn polo shirts. I get to wear flattering colors and don’t have to think about what to wear. I rarely get dressed up so have a warm weather dressy outfit and a cold weather dressy outfit that are good for weddings, funerals, Christenings. But then I live in a small farming community and this means I am not out of step with most of my peers.

Finding a silhouette for weekdays is a good place to start especially if you don’t want to wear the exact same clothes every day. For instance I have had seasons where linen / loose pants and a tight fitted tee or top was what I wore. Other seasons where tight pants like leggings or skinny jeans plus an oversized top was what I wore. I evaluate and change every season.

Yes, I did it all the years as homewoeking mum. It was just little bit hard, when some unexpected event came and I must dress acordingly. I had the right clothes, but maybe not the right pantyhose etc, bc I stopped wearing that type of outfits.

I keep my closet with 3 neutral colors and a few bright colored contrasting jacket colors. I put outfits together and hang on one hanger. For fall and winter i usually wear black tops and pants with black boots along with a bright jacket. Spring and summer is white pants and nautical look tops or denim and shirts. These are what i look best in. Each set of clothes has a matching pair of shoes and a purse. I keep it simple. When I go schlepping around the house I wear my favorite tees and jeans.

I have a 5 pack of loose athletic shorts and then a pack of longer athletic shorts and several shelf bra camis and sports bras and tank tops. I also have some drawstring chambray old navy shorts I sometimes wear with fitted old navy t-shirts. These are my warm weather mom uniforms.

Not a mom, but I definitely have a uniform!
I'm a tutor so I am able to dress casually but neatly. It's the dead of winter in South Africa right now so I own three identical gray sweatpants that wear every single day, with about four knitwear sweaters. Black or tan boots, scarf and jacket. Then on Saturdays I attend Bible Study and wear a pretty dress, with all the wintery essentials like tights and a coat.

No iron tailored shirt or quantity t-shirt (no logos), khakis (on a color or not) or jeans, belt, jewelry. I chose an outfit the night before to simplify the morning. I found an entire week to be too difficult for me, kept changing my mind.😊

  • @pauladrennan4223

When i was in the Navy, uniforms were so easy and left my mind free to explore, develop and grow. Every day my only question was, "dungarees, slacks or skirt?" The Plan of the Day would often simplify that decision even further. Here i am, almost 40 years later, trying to get back to that practice. And Sunday nights were a letter to Mom, followed by ironing the uniforms for the week with a glass (or 2) of wine. Good times.

I've wavy thick large S hair . I used to chop my hair to a pixi so my kids wouldn't grab my hair washed faster and dried faster too. I now have mid neck hair and the kids don't grab it. They are 5 &8 now.

I absolutely hate clothing shopping. Rarely finds things I like and feel comfortable in. However, I hate everything in my closet and its time to get new clothes.
Was just telling my husband that I was going to shop around for a really good pair of pants that looks and feels great and just buy several pair of those very jeans, maybe different colors or shades if they are available and if not I'll just grab tge exact same color. Then do the same thing for shirts...find a really good plain colored tshirt and a nice style of button up that looks and feels great and buy a few in different colors. I know I want solid colors, no prints or graphics. Plus I need a good pair of slacks (black) and pair of khakis

I like to lay out my ear rings the day before now it helps a lot w time and selection bc I'm really fun flaire items/quarky my kid helped me pick style and it's overwhelming to behold all the accessories daily
Oh and I try only to set out outerwear w pockets like sweaters or jackets bc yoga and athleasure doesn't usually have pockets and I don't lile taking a bag sonce I got robbed once and they took my bag

I love having a mum uniform. Makes things easy.
I have an unknown number of jeggings that look more like jeans than leggings, in black and blue. Not sure how many as they’re in various locations (wash, bedroom, storage). For summer I have a variety of plain t shirts and for winter 7 exactly the same 3/4 sleeve t shirts in different colours. Then a couple of nice button up shirts for going out.
If I’m not going out I just find whatever is clean and I’m going for the day and look semi put together
