- WOW! There were so many BIG, beautiful, show-quality fish competing in the show and available for sale from the vendors at the first West Coast Goldfish Palooza event in San Jose, California! Really nice ranchu, oranda, ryukin, butterfly telescopes, and more everywhere you turned. The educational talks were invaluable and we need more of that to keep the hobby growing. This show was the first of its kind and The Goldfish Council is already working on ideas to improve and expand it for next year, so if you missed it this year, try to come next time! A big thanks to everyone that came out, it was beyond amazing getting to meet you in person and I hope you had a great time!

I find this very fascinating, because I am an animal showman as well. I show exotic and rare breeds of chickens-however I had no idea you could show fish. Very interesting, keep up these videos!

The videos and music are curated to perfection, I must say. In this video I loved to admire all the beautiful ranchus, butterfly telescopes, and others.
I would have happily attended this Palooza, but unfortunately I live in Ontario and the travel is too great.

Linda Navarro is my understanding that it was originally imported from the same supplier I get mine from. He's got beautiful fish I've been very happy with mine.

I feel, especially diff varieties and higher quality goldies. Only ones I've seen that were pretty sweet were at an asian pet store in Hawai'i but I'm back home and dunno where to look xD.
My goal is to find a ranchu or lionhead :O.
Might just have to invest some pretty pennies if I can't find em'.

I wanted to thank you in person for being such a great inspiration in educating me on fish keeping; especially in terms of Goldfish. I was not able to go because my wife and I had already scheduled our son's 3rd birthday party on that same day. Our kids love seeing the fishes every time they get the chance. Congratulations on all of your success and with your new fish room. May you have continued (and well earned) success in the future.

This show was very cool. People don't realize that the worst of the goldfish show looks better than 95% of all the other aquarium fish species in the fishkeeping hobby.

How's the fish room coming along?
my favorite was the "lionhead" ranchu that the man was talking about (he was calling it a chinese fish). Although that grand champion is very pretty with it's silver spots! I also loved that blue one, i've never even heard of a blue goldfish.
i wish we'd have show like that in france, love the TVR, they're impossible to find here sadly :-(

The quality there is mind-blowing! Over here in the UK we have nothing like this at all; the best goldfish I've ever seen were only going for £10 each which tells you everything lol
