- I'm Aja Dang and this is a vlog that has been over two years in the making.... I flew to Nashville to do my debt free scream with Dave Ramsey! After reading Total Money Makeover and deciding to change my life by getting my finances in order, the main thing that kept me going through those feelings of frustration and self doubt was that I was determined to pay off my loans in order to do my Debt Free Scream in person. It almost didn't happen due to brand payments not arriving on time (shocker) but the money gods were on my side and a major goal in my life has been accomplished.
Hopefully this video will inspire you to keep going on your debt free journey and NEVER EVER EVER give up.

Aja, I was waiting for my debt to be cleared before watching your debt free scream. I wanted to watch this when I accomplished my own goals so I can walk through this experience with you. I’m so proud of you and so inspired because you were so transparent and so honest about your debt, it gave me the confidence to do the same.
I’m happy to say I paid off $50,000 of student loan debt in 18 months!! When my friends were out buying new cars and renting expensive apartments out of school, I got a small apartment with barely any furniture and ended up moving back in with my mom during the pandemic to save money. I really believe that your channel has touched more lives than you know. I wanted to pop in and say thank you.

My husband and I have been on a home buying journey and realize that we are so not ready because of all of our debt and my school loans. I was led to listen Dave Ramsey’s podcast on the app just yesterday and heard your story and your debt free scream. I was so encouraged that I thought I’d check out your channel. I stayed up all night and just finished watching a marathon of ALL 49 videos of your financial journey! I’m glad I got to see the whole thing unfold in one day and didn’t need to wait 2 years later. This is my first ever comment on anyone’s CZcams ever, but I just really felt led to comment and share how truly encouraged and inspired I am with your journey, struggles and all. We try to be nice and welcoming in Tennessee. But I believe Alabama has us beat. When I went there, the kindness was on ten 😂 I had to get out of there lol
when I go home to Hawaii, everyone is really nice there but it's more of a casual nice. In Nashville people were ma'am'ing me with their southern charm. A whole new level of niceness.
I lived in Alabama for 23 years. That hospitality depends on where you go. I went to college in Tennessee. Much better than Alabama.

I joined my local orchestra and I have a sitter once a week for that day, I am so happy with this treat for myself. I have another goal for my birthday to go to Provence later this year and then I hope to buckle down and more aggressively payoff my student loan (already paying off more than the minimum but I really want to do more). What a wonderful way to fully close out your debt free journey 🙌
