They both admitted hes not capable of listening to others, and while he heard some of what she had to say, there were moments where Sage is worried if he might take her head off just because. She probably will end up "helping" the boys by leaving homelander open to an attack and not doing anything to stop it unless it directly gets in the way of what she wants.
