Design in Dialogue

The Los Angeles-based artist, designer, and craftsperson Tanya Aguiñiga has forged a powerful body of work based in activism and community-based public art, often addressing conditions at the US/Mexico border. Her current work uses craft as a performative medium, generating dialogue around the theme of identity while also creating community. Aguiñiga is currently featured in the exhibition A New Realism at Friedman Benda.
