Would be nice if someone did a video on why the AR-9 rifles so dirty and how to fix the problems which the manufactures will not. I have a Palmetto State Armory PX9 Gen-4 that fires consistently with no jams but that thing is utterly filthy. I have NEVER used or seen any pistol or rifle that puts so much blow-back crud on the brass casing and in the receiver I did research on my gun and was told my the manufacture and many here on youtube to upgrade the buffer to the 8oz x 4" long buffer which will significantly reduce the problem. I paid nearly 45.00 after tax and shipping for it but it did VERY little to keep the crud in the barrel instead of blowing back into the receiver. When paying 850.00 for a gun, we should never have to deal with an issue like this You should see how quickly my walnut tumbling media gets filthy while cleaning a single batch of 9mm cases. Sure, I can pre-clean the cases before I put them in the tumbler but we should NEVER have to do that when all 4 of my 9mm pistols that are made from a different manufacture does not crud up the cases and can easily be thrown in the tumbler without first having to clean them and then there is the issue of how much more often of having to clean the AR-9 due to all of the crud being blown back into the receiver.
I love AR-9's Agree, everybody should have one. Mine is Glock mag too, rifle length. Getting ready to start a Colt mag version. By the way, was at a gun show in KC over the weekend. 9mm is $1 per round now. Get it if you can. Great build. Take care.

Working on mine now got the dirty bird lower in February and Foxtrot mike upper like a month or two later.....had been sitting on it until I just got a pdw brace kit with lower parts kit. I'm going to do flip up sights just to get her tuned up then I will add optics and come back around to upgrade trigger and charging handle. I can't wait to test it out...I have a 5.56 AR but it's too loud to shoot indoors or in a car.......this will be my go to home defense and truck gun as I will pair it with my Glock 27 which will get a 9mm conversion barrel that way I can awesome versatility
Awesome enjoy it! They are really fun guns to shoot and extremely light weight. Just make sure the gun feeds whatever ammo you plan on carrying with it. A lot of the 9mm barrels don’t have feed ramps so they can be picky on what hollow points they like to shoot

@@KanatiOutdoors I'd be happy with anywhere from 5.5 - 7.5 for 9mm but that's more about personal taste and preferences. Ammo commonality and availability appeal to me more than optimization to squeeze the best ballistics out like for the .300 But alas, my state doesn't like "pistols" so instead I have a silly glock with a sling mount to push against tension (see "BreachBangClear slings a glock") and a 14.5 pin and weld ar9.
Nice build man! Working on my 7th AR9 - I put the SI hand guard on my 300 Blackout and love it, great choice for the AR9 looks sweet!

Yes you can. As long as you get their generic one. Not the one specifically for the badger

9mm gains past 5.5" check out "ballistics by the inch"
That said I think 5.5" is a good length
Only by 200 though. I think the 5.5 is best all around and especially for a cqb/truck gun setup. Anything longer I would always suggest 300blk

Nice to see another dirty bird out there. Did you have to do any fine tuning like quarters/spacers in the buffer?
