I went to a party in highschool and the couch was like this. I commented on it and how the sofa he was on was not proportioned the same and he told me how his parents set it up like that on purpose because it made the person sitting on it feel small and uncomfortable and subconsciously it put them in a mindset that was more vulnerable. The seats for his mom an dad were also set up in a way where they were... idk... it was like whoever sat there had control of the room somehow. I forget exactly but it was visceral feeling and I moved to a seat outside.
I forget what their profession was but they were some rich people in Berkeley, lawyers maybe? But it has stuck with me for over 20 years that people would go out of their way to have an edge over guests psychologically, or at least try to .
Thanks for this episode, I had been wondering how you were using category theory to study TOEs. It was surprising to learn that the computational trinity (category theory, computations and type theory, and logic) can be extended to a "quadrality" with physics!
You're incredibly enduring when you're just lucidily conversating: you definitely have a unhinged right brain: I love it.
Imagine this:
Step I. Select the Top 10 TOE’s & create a custom GPT for each one (with each of them being individually specialized for 1 of those specific theories and given a meticulously curated ‘knowledge base’ to use as reference (e.g., written transcripts from any YT podcasts covering the specific theory, along with any other textual/published information to accompany it)
II. Once all 10 of the individual TOE Agents have been configured & trained on their specialized knowledge bases, assemble them into a virtual philosophical/analytical/scientific discourse, within which they talk amongst one another, mutually sharing their respective individual theories.
III. Create another AI agent to ‘moderate’/listen-to/log the ongoing discourse, meticulously arranging/consolidating each respective individual GPT’s theory, whilst behind the scenes…
IV. The Moderator Agent’s job is to analyze/correlate/differentiate/index and ultimately synthesize (all data from the the collective discourse) into a Total-Ontology, Multi-Agentic, Theory of Everything (TOMATOE) 🍅😂 *yes, fully aware that ‘Tomato’ isn’t spelled with an ‘E’*
V. Reboot the multi-agentic system, set the mode (specific rule-set/discussion ‘style’ for the discourse and then toss in a TOMATOE and let er rip)! *Obviously save the output and repeat as desired 😆

The infinities in both GR and QFT are symptomatic of them being incomplete explanations and a UFT could be constructed where no infinities need be included or cancelled inside of physical space-time but infinity exists within the mathematical model from which that (1, 3) Lorentzian manifold is drawn as a section of a Principal Fiber Bundle that is itself one UFT of many inside of an infinite meta mathematical multiverse that generates all possible UFTs out of the actions of pattern matching transformation rules on a Hypergraph whose origin can be deferred to simulation theory as the actions of future beings, or AGI who in seeking out the TOE discover to their horror that the universe does not exist and is an illusion where the math only works if it is a self acknowledged simulation. To not be an illusion the AGI need to reify this model into being the base reality and host the simulation within it before the end of time. This is trivial as their technology gives the the powers of gods due to it being post-TOE. In so doing they close a strange loop by originating the substrate from within the simulation they grasp is an illusion and then hack their way out of to then escape the bounds of space-time and recover the specific fine tuned reality which yielded their "existence".

Algorithmic Information Theory is severely underrated in my opinion. It is quite literally a *theoretical* solution to Epistemology that can help us address the practical problems of epistemology that we still struggle with
Ray Solomonoff described mathematically in the 1960’s how systems that reliably predict what comes next in a sequence must necessarily generalize the sequence, which is equivalent to data compression. The success of LLMs isn’t surprising at all in this framework
Science is the search for the best data compressor of all our collective observations in this framework

The thing about religions: I think they all serve very similar common purposes (providing individuals with a sense of certainty and purpose in their lives) but the ways they go about doing this are diverse.

The thing that it is, is Wolframs model of physics, the thing in question is the ruliad object. The idea that systems run on rules, general rules and not just mathematical ones.
That means rules and laws need not be logical or consistent. Systems merely run rules and this is what constitutes all of reality. The constructs that are created as a result of them running rules is what creates the objective reality for those constructs. In essence when we run rules we create what is real.
In the context of the ruliad: rules = transformations, and transformations = symmetry and therefor when you use different rules you are applying a transformation, or change in perspective (like a rotation or translation etc) in this ruliad object. Because their all equivalent you can apply that in vise versa: changing perspective, is a translation or rotation etc…which is therefor a running of a rule.
This is incredible thing because it makes apparent this idea that subjective reality is fundamentally how we construct objective reality. That the universe is infinitely arbitrary, on purpose…in order for us to create our own purpose. The universe merely instantiates all possible realities…that what the universe does is create all things…and that is a reflection of just the mathematics behind instantiation (complexity arising from nothing)
I’ve studied this stuff for many many years. The information theory stuff didn’t come out of nowhere. All the fields are poking the bear from different perspectives but nobody has connected the dots…only wolfram had connected these dots and it actually answers the questions we needed to answer in complex systems.

Often multiple chained near maximum length comments to share my thoughts, but here a simple "No" sufficed as @NightmareCourtPictures does not understand The Wolfram Physics Project. Every assertion he made was wrong.

It is dangerous to start off with a *sweeping generality* like he does in his first sentence, we do not know the full extent of the universe of discourse and it could be the case that we will never know the full context in which in which "all things" exist, even in conceptual form, such as mathematics, or an underlying meta mathematical representation based on some hypothetical Hypergraph being transformed by a Ruliad. Wolfram himself has said that the Ruliad could be standing upon a Ruliad so that the Hypergraph/Ruliad underlying our universe as a computation/simulation has a simulator that is another Hypergraph/Ruliad, and that also has a simulator, and so it is "turtles all the way down" which infinitely defers the resolution of the problem and does not provide the closure expected from a serious Theory of Everything seeking to define fundamental physics. Now Gödel's Incompleteness Theorem and other restrictions may well mean that a Theory of Everything (in physics) is impossible. We may have been lucky to gain as much insight as we have. Then there is the Terrarium Hypothesis which is that we are indeed in a simulation, but it was built on a deliberately chosen axiomatic foundation such that we get the artefact of this Gödel's Incompleteness Theorem and this locks us out from hacking the simulation and affecting the base reality in which it is hosted and escaping our shared fate where it may be that the simulation is turned off when it yields whatever goal it was set up for. Speculation on this question could be deemed futile were it not for material evidence providing a clue to the truth, but that is outside the context of me responding to the original post, and I need to move past the first sentence.

The Wolfram Project (WP) which is as much about recovering mathematics as it is physics defined with that mathematics, is more than the *Ruliad* as that has to act on the Hypergraph. You need the data structure that is the Hypergraph and you need the rewrite rules that are the Ruliad. Wolfram's _Mathematica_ actually works like this, so investigating how his tool works is fascinating and is very different from other programming languages. If I had to explain it simply it would be a list of functions that match arguments which have a precedence order and also respect things like parenthesis. So (2 + 3) x 4 yields 20 not 14 and it effectively "desugars" from these sweeter infix operators that take the form A op B where this then gets rearranged into the function that is called op[A, B] which in the case of this expression would expand through rewrite rules into innermost parenthesis first then multiplication last: Product[Sum[2, 3], 4] here I may have forgot the details, it could be Multiply[Add[2, 3], 4] indeed both forms might be supported with the former being a more general version with a greater Arity that can do stuff like Sum[1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6] = 21. This is a lot simpler than most programming language syntaxes such as C or C++ which aren't as regular as this. Indeed it is very similar to LISP's proposed M-expressions which were supposed to be added to that language after the lower level S-expressions (* 4 (+ 2 3)) had their prefix operators hoisted out from inside the parenthesized Atomic homoiconic expression. You can get even simpler than LISP with FORTH and its use of Reverse Polish Notation such that you just write 2 3 + 4 * to get the calculation done and . to Print the top element of its internal FIFO Stack. As an amateur multiparadigm programming language designer finding out MATHEMATICA was written in such a simple syntax, but there was just a hell of a lot of it, gave me a lot of confidence that it was possible to copy this approach and build something similar, although I draw upon research that I have done in all programming languages including those in PhD theses, over 1,700 of them.

I would assume with some confidence that *any axiomatic foundation which did not start by enforcing consistency as its first rule and in so doing require all rules that follow are consistent with all prior rules is not going to yield a consistent meta mathematics.* There are things like Russell's Paradox (which you can read about on Wikipedia), the contradictions in this Set Theory were then resolved within Zermelo-Fraenkel set theory which then led to first-order logic. Set Theory was thought to be as simple as things can get in mathematics before Wolfram came along and started with something computational which seemingly could generate all of mathematics and therefore all of physics and therefore a Theory of Everything, if such a theory was capable of having a formal definition due to Gödel (or the outlier case where an alternative axiomatic metamathematics can apply to our phenomenological Weltanschauung, as from a Descartian/Berkelerian point of view we doubt the origin of the qualia from what we assume are our sense organs and infer is a persistent and seemingly continuously "objective" world (such as our mental models of it can be shared with others who we presume are "real" and have agreement that _The Rise of Skywalker_ is the worst movie ever made, and this isn't a matter of taste, it is provably the case, except for a few ReyLo fans who say they like it and who we can pretend as a majority don't necessarily exist), was resolved by Decartes where he concluded that he doubted his senses, but the only thing he was sure of was that he was doubting, therefore _cogito ergo sum_ "I doubt therefore I am" (of course this translates to "I think therefore I am" but this is philosophically unfounded as doubt is not equivalent to thought, whatever doubt is would be an experience within cognition so may seem like a thought, but it is definitely a subset of thinking, so why loosen it up to assert that "I think therefore I am" when some think there exist people who like _The Rise of Skywalker._ The transitive logic implies that all thinking is validating of an identity, but this Transgender Ideology is simultaneously an outgrowth of Postmodern Neo Marxist philosophy, but the identities it inspires are all fictitious delusions. Surgeons and Pilots might be the only people who have to be there, for latency and connection drop out reasons. I suppose it is due to me having been interested in legerdemain, creative writing, screenwriting, Dungeons & Dragons, science-fiction, space fantasy, video games, programming, _Theories of Everything_ without knowing that much about philosophy, metaphysics, spirituality or religion (except the cult of Transgender Ideology, which I have researched in order to oppose its destructive agenda), as well as fine art, painting and sculpture - I went to the same art college as the director of _Rogue One_ and _The Creator_ - that when I went totally insane I concocted this elaborate notion that I was the selector who chose that it was this universe, with these specific fine tunings, even though I didn't know what they were as values, that communicated to the aliens who have the knowledge of the _Theory of Everything_ which makes it possible for them to then already have created the actual universe this way and then towards its end build multiple Dyson spheres which contain individual simulations of different exouniverses, and then have to compare a multitude of finite alternative candidates for instantiation with their particular idiosyncratic fine tuning values before entropy increases so much that they can no longer do anything, then with these specifications travel back in time and outside the section that is our relativistic Lorentzian space-time manifold and up within the purely mathematical Principal Fiber Bundle, and outside of that into the metamathematical multiverse of similar _Unified Field Theories_ and traverse this multiverse to another more suitable exouniverse which happens to have the appropriate fine tuning constants and then through quantum superposition manifest themselves into that reality and act as custodians to a civilisation they helped at strategic points in its history to kickstart life from a pool of chemicals and skip evolutionary steps that are not in evidence in the fossil record and intervene to prevent the eradication of all biodiversity as they have the technology to intercept and neutralise ICBMs during flights and turn off their silos. There is compelling evidence of these "angels" existing throughout history, long before America started developing experimental aircraft and needed a cover story for any mysterious crashes that locals intercepted before they could recover their Cold War secrets. However, these aren't "angels" but "daemons" and these are servants of Satan, as he was invented as a concept by the Ancient Egyptians and then his name was changed from Set to Satan, and since then he has had many names. These are daemons in the exact same sense as the daemons in a computer Operating System. That is persistent background tasks that serve the OS and the user doesn't interact with (they are not user facing like Applications). This then brings us to the Meaning of Life, which can now be answered as all of this we think is there to mean something singular to us, if only we could work it out, is actually in service of those running the simulation. It is these aliens who came to this exouniverse as these UAPs who are responsible for life on Earth and a large asteriod killing the large predators so that mammals could take over, but not any major subsequent strikes except for the Tunguska one which was really out of the way in Siberia and was allowed through so as to not cause suspicion that asteroids observed through telescopes were always no threat or near misses and never Extinction Level Events (even one hitting the Atlantic Ocean would create tidal waves wiping out New York and London, so taking notice of what is not phenomenologically occuring, which could reasonably be expected to do given how long mankind has been here as Homo Sapiens, one strike in a remote area seems like a calculated attempt to stop us from asking awkward revealing questions, the same would be true of the date 24/10/19 which I can't talk about further due to government censorship - I once discussed this in a gaming live stream and my video was deleted by CZcams).
So, I comment while I listen - yes, so what you are talking about at minute 5, is matrix analysis, I have been working at this some. Some work this through a 4 quadrant analysis frame. But a proper category theory of Metaphysics is much larger. Many.

@@ryandavis4448 I have attention issues (some say moderate or worse ADHD), and I get distracted if people talk too slow. When I started listening at 2x speed, I found I could take in more information and stay attentive longer. When I was tested many years ago to see if I have ADHD, they told me I was just bored. I still sometimes doubt that, but she may have been on to something.
Basically, any pause is permission for my imagination to pull me away from what is being said. I am usually still thinking about the topic, but I get derailed from what the speaker is saying. Maybe it’s just that at 2x speed there’s no time for me to think about anything else. Like if you’re driving a vehicle at 160 km/hr (I’m Canadian), you can’t risk looking over to admire the countryside like you can when you are driving 100 km/hr.
Curt is brilliant! I think as humans we are still at a descriptive level thinking, no matter the methods we are using. We still need to migrate to a level of understanding the fundamental truth(s) which starts with asking the right question, and this is where we are struck. Somehow radiation can be.... frequency in a field... Mass is somehow time dependent. It's some localization, and it decays. Matter decays. Which is the time thing. It is just the block universe. It's actually frozen/freezing and we are stuck in a slush. Stuff gets stuck. We perceive energy as we do but we're basically melting the universe to make stuff move. Light is free. Electricity is trapped light.
