Some really great picks, Jon! I'm glad I backed the Chronicles Kickstarter for all three of the different periods of time. I also didn't understand the appeal of Gods Love Dinosaurs until I watched your video. It looks like a fun puzzle! New York Zoo and Detective Season One both look like definite buys...although I should really finish the extra Detective expansions I already own.

Lots of good recommendations! Smartphone is already on my shelves, and I've been meaning to dive into Chronicles of Crime for a while now. New York Zoo I've been following and very interested to give it a go, but Gods Love Dinosaurs is completely new to me so thanks for sharing - looks fascinating!

I was definitely put off by the cutesy cover of My Farm Shop, but a friend persuaded me to try it out on Tabletopia. I take my poor opinion of it back - it was really good fun, and ended up being a really close game between the two of us!

New York Zoo looks like the perfect next step for my kids to go from Tiny Park -> Barenpark -> New York Zoo (they outgrew Tiny Park and are loving Barenpark).

I played it two player. It could easily be played solo, or with more players.
16:50 - why is the money peeling off already?
That's actually how it's supposed to look. I think it's because it's supposed to look like chocolate money with gold foil peeling off to reveal the chocolate below.
