- At my Age is a show that aims to provide intervention for elderly people faced with a plight they can’t resolve because of age.
Gogo Nora lives in a shabby condition and the wrong birth date on her ID is the main source of her problems. At 62, she already qualifies for the old age pension offered by government but according to her faulty ID, gogo is only 54. Will gogo survive 6 more years under the dire and demeaning conditions she lives in? Why is it taking so long for the department of Home Affairs department to correct the desperately needed birthdate on the ID for gogo to access her grant? Gogo Norah has already lost on 2 years of receiving any support reserved for people her age.

Old people also like their independence, they should be allowed this. It's her money she can spend how she likes. Gogo had a terrible upbringing, she was already broken inside. The daughter cannot judge, even she allowed her husband to rid of her mother. So she's not an angel herself. Gogo died because she had trauma and stress due to the drastic change that happened. To her she lost everything. Gogo Mabel did not have dementia that was a misdiagnosis. Nothing wrong with forgetfulness when you grow old that's normal. Gogo died earlier than expected. I believe she could have lived longer had she been supported at home, with home visits three times a day. The so called old people's home is a right joke. It doesn't look like a nursing home to me, that was a very bad placement. Nursing homes making money out of the vulnerable. Old age should be a blessing not to be a punishment for the elderly for the mistakes tgey made in life.
Even their building sucks, a shack.She died bcos of missing his comfortable house

lydia phamotse very true and some neighbors take advantage of them by encouraging them to do what they like drinking and robbing them most of their money and cause conflict between the family

this remind me of my late mother, my sister sometimes would just eat in her backroom with her kids while my mom was starving and when she my mom had money she would buy groceries for the kids and she would cook for the kids while their mother was resting in her room. my mom passed away January till today rent my sister`s haven`t pay rent and when i tell them they think i want to coach them
The system wronged gogo xem, she did wanna leave her home which she loved, she needed care n love at her age,now she had to go and live with strangers at her age n adapt to new environment with her illnesses,this is painful, even though she did not HV a good relationship with her daughter at least she should HV tried to look for a helper to take care of her mother. U mother is your mother doesn't matter the situation is.
Being taken out of her house may have contributed to her death. Old people prefer to stay at their homes. Well, I don't blame anyone.
This is a very good show.

Old age home is an informal settlement , oh no, that's not good. She had a lovely home with neighbors at her own home. Whomever agreed to label this place a "old age home" never see heaven on earth

Half of my body became cold and numb for a few seconds when I heard that she died. May she find peace.
It's really sad that she's no more may her soul continue to rest in peace. But I'd to emphasize on the issue of people not understanding the importance of parents and grandparents regardless of how troublesome they might be.
she died after 2 months probably because of food poisoning or hygiene issues. Old age is for white people who get sponsored
Old age nayo iyahlupha shame,sometimes they don't tell the truth they feel abused most of the time,if you have lived with Old people you would understand, all they need is attention and patience.
Dementia is such a horrible condition. She needs help all the time 😟
I wanna go home and take care of all those old people I will give them love and I will take care of them is so bad to see old people being treated like this and I will very strict to them, I know they will call me names I don't care. is not their money I,m after I just wanna help them
