At my Age - Episode 2

At my Age is a show that aims to provide intervention for elderly people faced with a plight they can’t resolve because of age.
Though Gogo Ntswaki is only 62, she has suffered a great deal form childhood, primarily because of a disability she lives with. When she finally bought herself a shack in Alex, she anticipated to finally have peace in her own space. She didn’t know that making improvements to that shack would be a beginning of a long-term feud resulting in her bullying. How does one live a quality life when she feels weak and vulnerable in her own house? Who is supposed to protect old people from those abusing them? Would relocating perhaps make her life better?

I am watching this in 2024 and I'm sad to say that our neighborhoods in the townships are even worse than what this granny's story shows. I have been through this same experience of being stolen from even by the contractor who was building the house. I hope Mama Linkie eventually found peace. It has been 6 years since I moved into the house I built and to this day I become emotional when I think about how much money just went to waste. But I soldier on.
