Seems very few "Christians, Protestants" or other denominations understand the lineage, authority and identity of Melchizedek. If they were listening to a modern prophet, and to modern revelation, the answers would be simple and profound in the same moment. Melchizedek was the primary person in that time, with God's authorization, to preside over the faithful children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Noah!! Melchizedek was authorized by someone not identified in the Bible, but in the same manner as Jesus Christ authorized His own apostles!!

35 years ago in prayer I was taken into the light for eternity held in truth and unimaginable love and ecstasy and God who is the light (Jesus) made himself like a man in front of me and said to me " I can be in the world at any time " this is the first time I'm conscious of ever hearing the word Christophany, it's not that I needed it confirming but still it's wonderful to hear.

      Melchizedek was Jesus.
It was Abraham who told us this, when he met him and gave to him his tithe. He told us by referring to a title ONLY Jesus holds.
Jesus was King (Top Most Leader) and High Priest (Top Most Teacher) of Salem. Jesus had to walk the walk showing he can be Both for that is his future when Father gives to him his Church as his bride to be.
Jesus transferred the Laws of Leviticus to his Priesthood by the name of Melchizedek. This kept the Laws of Leviticus active upon mankind and still to this day they are.
Also, it is The Priesthood of Melchizedek one searches after and not the name of Jesus when finding Father's True Church from the 100,000's of Satan's false Churches and their congregations to them all.
*Father's Church will be following the Priesthood of Melchizedek. This is one of the keys to Father's Church that defines Truth from False.

IS SALEM on the map or is it just a title? No earthly father or mother? I believe we should be comparing scriptures with scriptures to search out the truth in the bible and not just relying on mere archaeological discoveries which could be wrongly dated.

You are citing John 8:56 where the Lord said: Your father Abraham rejoiced (NET footnote, rejoiced greatly) that he would see my day. He saw it and was glad. (NET footnote: What is the meaning of Jesus’ statement that the patriarch Abraham “saw” his day and rejoiced? The use of past tenses would seem to refer to something that occurred during the patriarch’s lifetime. Genesis Rabbah 44:25ff, (cf. 59:6) states that Rabbi Akiba, in a debate with Rabbi Johanan ben Zakkai, held that Abraham had been shown not this world only but the world to come (this would include the days of the Messiah). More realistically, it is likely that Gen 22:13-15 lies behind Jesus’ words. This passage, known to rabbis as the Akedah (“Binding”), tells of Abraham finding the ram which will replace his son Isaac on the altar of sacrifice-an occasion of certain rejoicing.)

Therefore Genesis 14:18 says: "The King Of Righteousness, the King of Peace, brought out bread and wine (He was priest of The Most High God) and blessed him and said..."... Then Abraham gave him a tenth of everything.

Whenever the bible speaks of LORD think of this:
In the Northwest Semitic languages-Ugaritic, Phoenician, Hebrew, Amorite, and Aramaic-the word baʿal signified "owner" and, by extension, "lord", a "master", or "husband". Cognates include the Akkadian Bēlu (𒂗),[c] Amharic bal (ባል), and Arabic baʿl (بَعْل). Báʿal (בַּעַל) and baʿl still serve as the words for "husband" in modern Hebrew and Arabic respectively. They also appear in some contexts concerning the ownership of things or possession of traits.
The Baʿal of Ugarit was the epithet of Hadad but as the time passed, the epithet became the god's name while Hadad became the epithet. Baʿal appears as one of the sons of El in Ugaritic sources. Both Baʿal and El were associated with the bull in Ugaritic texts, as it symbolized both strength and fertility.
Canaanites, including hebrews used to sacrifice their first borns to El through Ba'al which is why the OT prophets had been spoken out harshly against the rite.
As a motif the sacrifice of christ is an analogy of this rite combined with the OT prohibition of sacrificing first borns.

The most amazing purpose of Melchizedeck being a higher King than the line of David, higher Priest than the line of Levites, higher Prophet than the line of Moses and Aaron... then Jesus being in that Order, opens a way for both Jews and Gentiles to have no condemnation from the law of sin and death. Melchizedek's Order provides a way for every human to be set free to be back in communion with God...similar to Adam and Eve's walk with God in the Garden.

The way Jesus applied Melchizedek was to himself since the question was asked in the New Testament who the people thought that the Messiah was. The answer given by the religious teachers was the son of David and then Jesus quoted Psalm 110:1-4, the Lord said to my Lord meaning that King David was referring the Melchizedek of verse 4 as being his Lord meaning that he existed prior to the Incarnation. Fact is that this particular Psalm 110:1-4 is inextricably linked to Hebrews 7:1-3 and in Psalm 110: 1-4 verse 4 is revealed as the Heavenly Melchizedek which had nothing to do with an earthly Canaanite King. Factor into the account that Dead Sea Scroll Document 11Q13 reveals that the ancients believed that Melchizedek was Elohim and would as High Priest of God conduct the Day of Atonement on behalf of God's people on the 10th Jubilee which would have been fulfilled at the time of Christ's baptism in 27 AD.

The Second Book of Enoch is not a part of Bible in either Jewish or Christian tradition; instead, it belongs to the vast body of Jewish literature that is related to the books in the sacred canon. More, it was not written by the Enoch we know from Genesis 5. The text we have today was probably composed in Greek by a Jewish writer (possibly in the first or second centuries CE), but the text survived mostly in Slavonic language translation. Despite this, the text of 2 Enoch is full of Hebraisms and Jewish legends that people would have known in the days of Jesus.

    • @ATinyPillow
      @ATinyPillow Před 2 lety

@@jojoanggono3229 : Yes, Shem was in fact the 1st king of jeruSalem. Scripture says that God preserved the priesthood through the flood. Since only Noah, his wife and Noah’s 3 sons and their wives, were saved on the ark - Noah being the family patriarch would have been the priest that God preserved through the flood. It can be no other way given the 8 people who were saved on the ark. Therefore, when Noah passes, the priesthood goes to his eldest son who would be Shem.
Therefore Shem would have been priest and 1st king of jeruSalem simultaneously in Abraham’s time, and to no surprise the word “MelchiZedek” literally breaks down as “Melchi” meaning king + “Zedek” meaning priest. The dictionary definition essentially says the same adding that MelchiZedek was the Old Testament priest-king who met Abraham, feel free to check it out for yourself. Since Shem is the only priest-king of jeruSalem in Old Testament history, the only possible choice has to be Shem. Our Messiah is the only other priest-king so he is therefore after the MelchiZedek priest-king priesthood initially established by Shem and since our messiah is now immortal, he is MelchiZedek priest-king forever because he cannot die just like it says in the book of Hebrews.
It doesn’t hurt that it literally says Shem is MelchiZedek in my Hebrew Bible as you may have read in my earlier comment.

NET Bible note: Salem is traditionally identified as the Jebusite stronghold of old Jerusalem. Accordingly, there has been much speculation about its king. Though some have identified him with the preincarnate Christ or with Noah’s son Shem, it is far more likely that Melchizedek was a Canaanite royal priest whom God used to renew the promise of the blessing to Abram, perhaps because Abram considered Melchizedek his spiritual superior. But Melchizedek remains an enigma. In a book filled with genealogical records he appears on the scene without a genealogy and then disappears from the narrative. In Ps 110 the Lord declares that the Davidic king is a royal priest after the pattern of Melchizedek. It is his royal priestly status that makes Melchizedek a type of Christ: He was identified with Jerusalem, superior to the ancestor of Israel, and both a king and a priest. Unlike the normal Canaanites, this man served “God Most High” (אֵל עֶלְיוֹן, ʾel ʿelyon)-one sovereign God, who was the creator of all the universe. Abram had in him a spiritual brother.

Most likely doesn't cut it with scripture. If you don't know don't guess. The truths of the Bible can't be learnt Bible mere scholastic training. Literally everyone in the Bible with that approach had to forget all they learned. And start over with God the spirit teaching them. Paul being the main. One of the secrets in plain sight of the Bible. Is that he rearley use highly educated people to reveal scripture. Most times it's some poorly educated person. And this is by design. The educated man has a tendency to try and figure it out himself making a mess. While the poorly educated knows he must wait till the spirit reveals it to him. The Bible is a book of parrables, stories, histories and symbols. You can't understand it by just using reading be ability. Jesus talked in parables to the multitudes ALL THE TIME. The deciples got fed up and asked him why he does that. The answer he gave is " because it is not for them to understand. But for you to understand. Then he explained the parable to them. Proving you will never really understand unless God tells it to you. Not approaching it like a thesis for class that will just make you a scribe or a Pharisee. Able to quote but not understand.

In my studies I found That Melchizedek means patriarch king . In the time of Abraham the eldest male person in a family was the priest of that family . He would be the eldest patriarch of that family . So after the flood in Noah’s day , Noah lived another 300 years are after the flood . He was a preacher of righteousness and his ministry lasted until his death . Then his son Shem became the preacher or priest of righteousness . Abraham was a direct descendant of Shem not of Cannon . Shem was the eldest patriarch of the family of Abraham . Shem lived 500 years after the flood . That made him Abraham’s priest . Actually Shem outlived Abraham I’ve 30 years . Jacob was about 50 years old when Shem died . It’s my understanding that Shem was Melchizedek by studying the Bible and doing the math . Then I read the book of Jesher and it said that Shem was Melchizedek . What the writer of Hebrews was trying to say is that Melchizedek was not of the linage of Aaron the high priest during The time Moses was given the law . He was alive some 500 years before the Levitical priesthood started . So he was out of order to be the Levitical High Priest . To be high priest he had to be a direct descendant of Aaron . Jesus in like manner was a Jew and not a descendant of Aaron the high priest . But he became our high priest and king . Jesus was “ begotten “ of Mary and never preexisted as a man before he was begotten. Begotten means to come into being . But as God , which was the Holy Spirit he always existed .

Kenim , I’ve been a Bible student for 50 years and I’ve had in-depth Bible studies in all those years . What we have to do is get away from all the traditions of men and go back to the King James Version of the Bible to get the true meaning of Gods word . KJV is still the most accurate version of the Bible . Read the prophesies of who Jesus is like Isaiah 9:6 . It says the child born ( Jesus ) would be the Mighty God , the Everlasting Father . In translation from Hebrew to English the word Saviour was was translated Jesus . Isaiah 12:2 says “ Behold , God is my salvation; I will trust , and not be afraid : for the Lord JEHOVAH is my strength and my song ; he also is become my salvation . Jesus name meant Jehovah has become our salvation . It’s written over 300 times in the Bible “ the Lord our God is one Lord “ . Deuteronomy 6:4 says “ Heat O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord “ . So the point I’m trying to make is that the God of creation became the Son of redemption. The Bible never taught a trinity of persons or Gods . When Philip said “ Lord , shew is the Father “ in John 14:8 , in verse 9 “ Jesus saith unto him , Have I been so long time with you , and yet hast thou not known me , Philip ? Th that hath seen me hath seen the Father ; and how sayers thou then Shew us the Father “ . Jesus calmed to be the Father in that scripture. There’s so many scriptures that prove that Jesus is the Father “”. Read Revelation 1:8 Jesus calmed to be the Almighty . Matthew 1:23 says “ Behold , a Virgin shall be with child , and shall bring forth a son , and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is , God with us “ . In John 4:24 Jesus said “ God is a Spirit ant they that worship him must worship him is Spirit and truth “. It says God is “ A “ Spirit . That means one Spirit and that’s the Holy Spirit . That Holy Spirit is the Father or the Father of creation . As Spirit God didn’t have a body or form as we know of . A Spirit is invisible and can’t be seen . So the Holy Ghost overshadowed Mary and she conceived of the Holy Ghost . That makes the Holy Ghost the Father of Jesus . That’s how the God of creation became the man Christ Jesus . 1TIMOTHY 3:16 says “ And without controversy, Great is the mystery of Godliness . God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit , seen of angels , preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory “. God was manifest in the flesh. Manifest means to be shown as . God was shown as flesh . Kenim I haven’t even scratched the service on the scriptures that proves Jesus is God but there’s enough in this little Bible study to get you started . Have a blessed day my friend!!!

For Jews who knew their genealogy, remember Mary and Joseph most likely knew their way back to David (and because of that much farther) and they were only poor oppressed people, genealogy was extremely important. Hard for modern man with no memory to relate. On the other hand, if you want to suppose pre-incarnate Christ, the burden would be on you to make the case. I am glad to know more about the man for whom the Melchizedek Priesthood is named. This is the same Priesthood authority which has been restored to the earth and which I and many other Latter-Day Saints are commanded to use to serve the only true God and our fellow man. And the authority to bless and serve others with the authority of the Melchizedek Priesthood is not limited to men. All have a role in gathering Israel prior to the return of our Savior Jesus Christ.❤

Sorry brother but the only one in the manner of Melchizedek is Jesus Christ. No man is also in this same priesthood. He is the high priest for mankind. We’re all kings and priests in a sense, but the priesthood simply denotes one’s that reveal and represent God on earth to others. In the OT the nation of Israel were a kingdom of priests in the sense that they represented the one God to the surrounding nations. Christians today are priests in that we represent God to men through Jesus, and he is image of his Father.

Yes Melchizidek was a real person. Some say he could have been Shem, one of the eight believers who stepped off of the ark. He was a king-priest. He did not require certain parents like the Levitical priests. Jesus Christ being from the tribe of Judah is also a king-priest.

Lol.. he is shem.. melchesdek is shem.. Noah's son who was both king and priest or adonadesek .. all the way up to jacob one person was king and priest for tmh and then it was split between judah and Levi and the high priest being in Damascus.. John the Baptist wasnt a regular levite and shem is melchesdek .. apttmh..abraham gave shem a 10th for teaching him how to worship tmh correctly and recieved power to take the kings down.. Abraham's father was terah and idolater who made idols and could not teach shem how to worship God because he was an idolater and didn't worship the God of Noah and shem.. so he went to his elder shem.. everyone went to shem to learn things at one time.. Noah gave him the knowledge of the God that saved them from the flood..

I see. So I lack the spirit to understand the Bible.
Why was this not given to the Old Testament prophets? How come Abraham, Isaac and Jacob didn’t know anything about Jesus? All the calamities Israel went through(even though the Creator calls Israel the apple of his eye)when a savior could’ve helped them, but the Creator insisted on keeping the law. Israel failed to keep the law so they got punished.
All of the sudden Jesus showed up during the Roman period(how convenient) and “fulfilled the law.
By the way, you keep tapping about nonsense but you haven’t provided one scripture from the Old Testament about Jesus. Not one(all you do is twist and corrupt it to fit your wicked narratives). The Creator doesn’t change.
He had an everlasting covenant with Israel....but He changed His mind because Israel couldn’t keep the commandments.
Haha, you Christians are funny. All religions for that matter are wicked!!!
