  • In this video I install the full FMF exhaust. I show the steps on how to remove the exhaust, and install the FMF Fatty pipe, and FMF Powercore 2 silencer. At the end of the video I do a comparison from the Stock exhaust to the FMF exhaust. Remember I have this bike already modded up with the Oil Pump Delete, Boysen Reeds, 60cc Big Bore Kit, and also a Uni Air Filter installed. For all those videos be sure to check out my channel. For future videos be sure to hit that Like button, and SUBSCRIBE!. Thanks for Watching!

    I’ve just completed my sons 1983 PW60 build. Picked up a cheap bike and basically followed what you have done except the exhaust. Boyesen reeds, Niche 60cc kit, all new electrical components, rebuilt stock carb but left the ‘65’ jet. Going to order up that unifilter because the air box sucks to take in and out. Fired it up for first time tonight and ran a few heat cycles through the engine for break in. Hope to get it on the trail tomorrow.

    Nice work and good video. Maybe I missed it, but wondering how much power gain you got out of this.

    • @bigair0176
      @bigair0176  Před 2 lety +1

      Certainly minimal. It did feel more responsive but I never really got a chance to ride it. The 60cc cylinder definitely increased power. But as for the exhaust it just felt not as restrictive.

      @@bigair0176 good to know, thanks! I’m tempted to buy one for my daughter’s PW, but I’m sure the money could be spent in much better places, such as saving up for a bike for a littlest guy.

    • @bigair0176
      @bigair0176  Před 2 lety

      @@JMKGarage sounded sweet tho! It will help lean out air fuel which will give it that snappier feeling. I would try a better filter and lower main jet. I heard a 65 main really helps leaning it out.

    • @bigair0176
      @bigair0176  Před 3 lety

      Ya I think it’s just the exhaust personally. Unless it’s overbearing then I would be concerned. But even in my vid you can hear a bit of ringing compared to the stock one. I am so happy with how the bike runs compared to how I purchased it. I’ve put so much work into it. It will be a shame to let go one day. Cheers!

    11:40 How much you selling it for?
    Love all the mods
    Pipe/silencer look and sound awesome
    I love how the bike is from 1983 and looks like a 2023!
    It’s remarkable that they haven’t changed anything since 1983 … the year I was born.. started on a zinger myself it was yellow and black could have been an ‘83 haha
    My son is 3
    he’s just big enough for the pw but he’ll out grow that thing quiiick
    He’s been riding stacyc since he was 2 haha now he’s asking for a gas bike like pop’s bike 02 yz125
    He rides on it with me
    We might pick up a 2002 pw 50 today actually which would match my 02 yammy perfect
    We have a ktm sx-e 5 for my older son(skipped the gas stage besides a few rides on a stock zinger)
    Now it’s time for a 65 briefly until 85 size.. he needs to learn gas and gears
    I think electric power is going to elevate our sport tho
    We just need better battery tech
    Thanks for sharing
