    *Get some decent footpegs for them.
    *The OEM bars restrict the options for levers so going to the hassle of converting to aftermarket bars can be worth it as it allows you to fit reach adjustable levers.
    Keep an eye on head stem bearings and races and consider upgrading as the OEM races are prone to cracking.
    *You will need a dual gauge to confirm the oil pump is set correctly.
    *The suspension is garbage so be prepared to spend time maximising its ability once the child starts to find its limitations, which will not take long. The 2017+ pw50 has upgraded forks and are a wise upgrade to any older pw50.

      @@ronncraddock268 the rebuild was very simple took around an hour the grand kids have put like 40 hours on it since and it still runs fantastic.

    Do you recommend honing the cylinder with a flex-hone to get a cross-hatching before installing?

      I had the same issue, I just open my pw50 and the kick shaft was broke inside , just remove the engine cover where you put the oil and you going to be able to see the broken shaft , I hope this helps you.

    What psi of compression should these pw's be at?

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  Před 5 měsíci

      100-115 psi is great. If you're in the 80-100 range or less, you'll want to do a top end.
