Someone give that man a raise! 💴 Sure can tell he takes pride in his job
That dude's an excellent worker! You don't see that very much these days.
Zackley, you can tell that Miguel takes pride in his work, you don't see that very often these days, and you see it less and less with the younger generation. . If I was a rich man I would be running one of Miguels works of art on my car, meantime I have bills and children. Kudos to VMP for a fantastic product and workforce.
I didn't see it run in on the supercharger dyno ????
He's on camera and the boss is filming it. Duh!
@@sc0368 Justin Starkey's not the boss at Magnuson, but he's surely a valued customer of theirs, hahaha! That's about the time I'd have to get outta there for a little bit to get some parts from town or something, lol.
Miguel was the star of this video for sure.
I love this attention to detail and keeping it clean at every step! VMP has got my attention!
My dude Miguel putting in work!!! Great guy really humble!!
Great video! Every time Miguel cleaned or was about to clean an area YOU managed to dirty it again! I'm sure in his Miguel was like "Stop touching it pendejo"! Lol
I want one of these so badly...
VMP... is Extremely Awesome...
Love Miguel's work ethic!!! That's hard to fine in these days and anyone can tell he loves his job even after ten years, keep it up bro
It's great seeing someone take pride in their work
It's really cool to see how much attention to detail goes into assembling one of these. I'd love to see one of these for the ODIN supercharger too.
Good to see open and honest communication when it comes to aftermarket parts. Thanks
VMP Made in USA assembled by MexiCANs I love that retro look of the Gen3r
that was a pretty cool video another thing that I think would be cool would be adding the Tech that assembled the supercharger name on a small plate
Similar to how svt used to do with their hand built engines in the gt500 and cobras etc. On my 07 gt500 it says "5.4 liter 4v shelby gt500 hand assembled with pride" and it has the signature of the two techs who hand built the engine on a little black on the valve cover. My 97 cobra was also like this that would be a cool addition to the vmp blowers.
Employee of the year
I just wanna say thank you for defining porosity .
Thanks for the video Justin, great job Miguel quality is job # 1!
Thanks! His attention to detail is top notch!
So nice and awesome!
Looks great!
Awsome! I want one!!!
Really good idea for content
What a great employee !
"Niceee" Yes.... We know it's "Nice"...
Cool..umm cool...and yeah cool
Gatorsrok lmao
I would trust this guy!
I love how the dude doing the work is wearing gloves so he doesn't contaminate the surfaces and the guy filming is touching everything with his bear hands. That's top drawer QC right there.
I'm saving up to buy the gen3 for my 2012 f150 6.2 SVT
That’s nice.. I can’t wait to run one on my car!
I’ve been watching a new series on Netflix called Hyperdrive and there’s a guy that’s running a VMP Blower that looks like a Gen3 on a Bad Ass 1965 Mustang and he’s absolutely killing it with the blower freaking singing the whole time spitting fire out the side exhaust.
Badass I gotta check that out huge ford guy and big vmp fan.
awesome vid. still a dream to get one on my 5.4 one day
I see a piece of lint from the rag at 11:08
Frozen Stang yeah they are not all what everyone thinks they are, they are a CZcams brand built by a supplier that is definitely not TS compliant hell from the looks probably not even ISO compliant, very dirty and unorganized work environment, but they have one hell of an employee. Give that man a raise.
Wait, what's that tiny little supercharger on the back of his bench where he was finishing assembling and cleaning up that one. Just curious, old aircooled vw fan. Always wanted to build a supercharged boxer.
Nice
does the hub go into a keyway onto the shaft to prevent slip, or is it just press fitted?
So if someone did want to put a sealant along with the o-ring for the snout assembly, what would be recommended?
Great video, that looks like a quality part and quality assembly! Curious question; I realize for a product to be successful it has to be producible at a reasonable price for the market. Can you talk at all about the cost differential between the press fit shaft, and converting that to a splined shaft? Aside from the cost benefit of press fit, are there any technical advantages to press fit vs splined in this application?
Very interested to hear their response, if any
Please make a e55 kit!!! And have that guy build it he is the man
I feel that the timing between gears and lobes, is hardest to set precisley. How is it done?
I need one Justin!
We have them available now at VMPPerformance.com!
If the engineering departement is as focused as Miguel, that'd be enough reason to consider VMP. He's good advertisement.
Beautiful!!! Have ya'll talked to Gavin? That built block he's finna put on Satan needs a 3R 😎
Great Footage Justin!! I love how it’s made!! Hope to see more stuff soon... btw your f150 crew is so sweet and needs more Content or upgrades. So curious see the full Potential of a big crew cab. I have 17 f150 crew 5.5 bed with 11”mild travel suspension with 35” tires. I would love build to just gap Lengths on sports car and just bring the Shock and confusion!!
We have some content in the works on the F-150. Let us know when you are ready to start upgrading your truck!
Awesome!! I will be soon, need set of long tubes and billet oil/crank gears for the big one.I am saving up for the gen3r kit,1300 injectors and e85 fuel system. Hope this winter all I will have the funds!💵
That's what I'm talking about like awesome work like that is how I want to work I want to fix my car but I want good proper Parts proper I can't stress it enough detail attention to detail cool
What if I need a whole new supercharger housing??
Are these twin screw or are they just four lobe roots? I honestly can't tell.
What do u do with those super chargers ? Are this airplane parts ?
I have been waiting for mine for 2 1/2 months now. Was supposed to ship on the 5th only update is shipping soon 😭
Hey Cory, we appreciate your patience and thank you for your business. We tried to have a quick look under this name and didn't see an order. Feel free to shoot us a message on Facebook, Instagram, or via email/phone call and we can look further into what's going on. Again, thank you!
Ok how can I get a job like this and what schooling is required?
Great video! Where’s Mike? He had some of the coolest thunderbird projects back in the day!
Mike was out of the office when we went out to visit unfortunately.
I’m getting one soon. Can I request for Miguel to make it?
I see how it’s assembled, but where does the parts casting take place?
That's exactly what I was hoping to see in this video...
How many times does he say nice?
Miguel is awsome at what he does, the other guy...... I wonder if its nice!
I can't decide between this or the Edelbrock for my 16GT. I think the gen 3r is the way to go.
I was having difficulty making this same decision. I think it is going to come down to price.
@@Jack-ox9iz yeah waiting to see the black Friday deals. I live in florida so I can bring my car to VMP for the install.
The VMP GEN3R is not a budget supercharger, but we've got plenty of Gen2R TVS blowers in stock for you!
@@VMPPerformanceTV well I want to buy once and buy the best. Like the saying goes "you get what you pay for"
Gen 3R is the top blower in my mind. It has far more potential than I will need, but that doesn't mean I don't desperately want one. 😁
What's the differences between VMP, Magnuson, Whipple, Roush, Saleen, Eaton, Hennessy, Kenne Bell, Supersnake and the Jet Cobra Supercharger?
One thing that i know for sure is the brand itself. And for Eaton, they are oem part, not aftermarket and they're Roots type supercharger on most of their products. Supersnake is a type of a Mustang car produced by Shelby. Cobra Jet is a type of a Ford Mustang that is race ready (drag racing) from the factory. Saleen is a car brand. Hennessey is a tuning company based in Sealy, TX, USA.
Kristiadi Hartanto Right, but what's the differences in the Superchargers themselves for them all to want to make their own?
Why would so many companies want to make the same style supercharger for one engine?
And what makes one brand better than the other?
I guess my point would be that just because someone would modify cars doesn't mean they go out and make & design their own supercharger unless they feel they can make it better, otherwise why do it?
All of these brand superchargers are the same style intake mounted, so I'm wondering what's the engineering differences? Bearing style better?
Is one brand more efficient than the other?
Is one more reliable?
They all aren't equal, if they were then it would be most logical to buy the cheapest one.
Many Channels on CZcams do comparisons on sports cars but no one yet compares all superchargers for one car. Nor do these companies ' Market ' there product in a way that shows what makes there product different, what makes their product better than the competition. If I designed a supercharger I would educate the customer of what makes my product better.
Still waiting for my free VMP😁
The Rotors look so dark. Is that material plastic or coated metal?
The rotors are a coated metal
Are the GEN2R’s also made in the same facility?
Gen2R is made by PAS in a similar facility in Michigan
What does PAS stand for?
What’s the difference from the Gen 3 to the Gen 3R?
The major difference is in the case design, it has been optimized for better and more efficient airflow. If you click the link below you can watch the development video where Justin talks about the differences and how it was made. czcams.com/video/566W5F81U5s/video.html
Did I see bushings on the back side of the blower housing? Why not use bearings instead of bushings? I always associate bushings with slow turning, light load devices.
Always lubricate o-rings, they have to move to do their job.
Those are bearing in the back side of the housing.
Great video that was very interesing but can you explain why your supercharger is so much cheaper than a magnusun? $3,500 for VMP and $6,500 for the magnusun when they are built buy the same people?? Something isnt adding up.
In the ford market head unit upgrades are very popular because the blower comes off the manifold. Dodge and GM make their supercharger, intercooler, and manifold all one piece so you have to replace everything when you upgrade. Replacing everything is why it costs so much more.
Oh ok, wow I would of never guessed that, thats very interesting. Thanks for the reply cause I was very curious!
13:20 touch the sealant right away
wheres the blower dyno video?
It is part of our Magnuson Tour video! czcams.com/video/BMSAYG9uh2Q/video.html
Yeah. @14:23 he should have stopped and found out why that impact was hitting so hard, listen to the others they just went right in.
wonder how the threads look in that hole now?
You should get the serial number off that unit and see who gets it once purchased cuz Justin caressed it🤣
Omg
@@VMPPerformanceTV am i right or am i right? Would've been a nice detail for the person purchasing it. Maybe a signature. Idk
Nose replacement if you decide to upgrade your Roush to an 8 or 10 rib and can't find a machine shop to make the clearance.I was lucky to find a bad ass machinist who charged me $250 to machine my roush
We are selling the nose drives now for 2.65l tvs
Good video, nice to use the actual tech that does the job and not some girl with nice boobs, well maybe lol. Most times with production you don't get to see who really does it,and you did treat him with respect and thats important..
Take my money 💵💸
Cool 100%€£
Only here because Neighbor!
How can sum 1 get sponsored by vmp
✌️💀
you guys need to six sigma his work area
Ehh...wipes everything down and then sets on wooden shelves, wood dust? Shop dust? Seems like the process could be improved even more. Great job and good content though.
Yeah but the $$$$$$ is ?
An engineer learning things from mechanic.Lol😆😆😆😆😆
Is it nice? I wonder if it's very very nice...I only like things that are NICE.... very NICE... is it NICE?
,,, I don't like the bottle of LockTite sitting open, handy but not good .
Make a 3.8L supercharger for the 3800 series. M90 sucks.
The video quality goes in and out, in and out....
I wanted one until I found out they’re made in California
Vmp also has a division in Florida
Thats cool. Whats not cool? They get to build them but can't own them. Not cool
Vmp performance nice video. But it's eating at me there are no assembly instructions to reference. Parts are sitting in egg crates, all parts should be in seperate bins with part numbers on them. Torque specs should be pointed out in a instruction diagram. Obviously the guy knows what he is doing. But as a person who spent 15 years doing manufacturing I cringe watching him dig around in those egg crates for small parts etc. Looks bad.
Is every other word NICE out of dudes mouth ANNOYING
