    Great that they have a ton of stock of the 6800XTs and stuff, but the pricing is still obscene! Was that $1400 for a 6800XT? It's a $650 MSRP!!! It's mind-numbingly infuriating that retailers are still getting away with this kind of stuff.

    • @curtisbme
      @curtisbme Před 2 lety +8

      The OEM's are typically the ones setting those prices. All of them have jacked up the original MSRP. I got a Gigabyte card for its msrp of 600 but that exact card msrp was 450 when they released it 2 years ago.

    • @RobertoDelTaco
      @RobertoDelTaco Před 2 lety +4

      Although I agree, I hate scalpers with a passion. At the end of the day though MSRP is Manufacturer SUGGESTED Retail Price, so there's nothing illegal about it, it's just scummy, but you can't fully blame the retailer, if people are still buying at those prices then they'll keep selling at those prices, especially online scalpers that have them for 3x the price, if people started boycotting and just not buying them then sellers will have no choice but to lower price. Especially once stock starts normalizing eventually.
      TLDR - sellers are scumbags for overcharging, buyers are dumb for buying instead of waiting. I'm glad I got my 2080ti 2 weeks before 30series launch and was teased by friends, I don't regret it, and if I waited then I'd be screwed and stuck waiting, and I'm not dumb and impatient enough to buy over MSRP. I love gaming but tbh if I had to wait I would, it's not worth ever over paying for any tech, especially since you know it's gonna be obsolete eventually anyway

      G'day Kiko, Yeah that is a great idea, also I was thinking get some 0.5mm plastic washers as they are reusable, put them in while setting up then remove them when you know Final Position

    The Vlog style videos are great jay, keep them coming. Its interesting to see the thought and work processes you use to get to the final stage. Montages are cool and I'm sure they are fun to make, so maybe vlog the builds then afterwards release the Montage video? Love the dynamic you, Phil and Nick have!

    I don’t mind ordering things online and I don’t mind waiting for stuff either. But the one thing that you can’t beat with an in-store experience is being able to take it back if something happens to be wrong with it. Returns abs exchanges can be a pain online.

    Hey Jay! I have one comment:
    I love your builds and being a part of them as you take us along the rollercoaster. I would love to see more customizations with your builds. Stuff like custom built cables, custom paint, and some case mods. You're builds are brilliant, and taking a step up in more customizations could take you and all of us to the next level in computer builds.
    So pumped! Love the Spectre III!

  • @JesseDeya
    @JesseDeya Před 2 lety +1

    @JayzTwoCents I have a Spectre 2.0. Consider mounting your fans on the OUTSIDE of the case, and rads on the inside. Way more clearance, plus you get all the fan RGB goodness externally.

    Now that you have a 3D printer that you might get to use you might like to make spacers for the front between the case and the intake fans. I have done this myself on a few systems and have found once the leading edge of the fans is cleared by 10mm or so from the bars on the case they make a lot less aerodynamic noise as the blades pass the bars - just a thought.
