    Thanks for this vid for the v2. I am wondering what's the major difference of the L58E group used here vesus the traditional E61? Thanks.

    • @bunbunespresso8124
      @bunbunespresso8124  Před 2 lety +5

      Thanks for watching. The Mara X group head is E61 but Lelit now calls it L58E group. It is typically similar using 58mm portafilter and accessories, but L58E group has a dedicated spare part kit by Lelit. I believe it is for the pre-infusion method which Mara X has to differentiate themselves from other standard E61.

    Cool video (and I even like the music 😁)!
    Is there a way to control the OPV in the Lelit MaraX? Can I configure the pressure, for example by turning a screw or something?

    • @bunbunespresso8124
      @bunbunespresso8124  Před rokem +2

      Thanks for watching and the kind words! Yes, the OPV can be regulated to control the brew pressure by turning the valve clockwise / anticlockwise with a small spanner.

    hahahaa nice video, not many channel that talk about v2. I hope you can make more detailed video about x steam mode and x coffee mode. if you switch from 1 to 0 (or otherwise), is the machine needs time to stabilize the temperature ? (without changes the temperature button) thankyouuuu!! 👌

    Great video mate. Glad somebody put a light on v2 finally. I’ve purchased Lelit MaraX V2 yesterday evening(not delivered yet). Still not sure how to feel about the missing pure HX setting is gone. Do you think the new software works better ?

      @bunbunespresso8124  Před 2 lety +5

      Congrats and thanks for the kind words mate!
      I'm not sure who would buy the MaraX but not use its smart coffee priority mode that it's intended for, and to use the traditional uncontrolled HX mode. Therefore, the new software in V2 to remove the pure HX setting is a practical and more useful one in my opinion. I doubt anyone would miss the pure uncontrolled HX mode.

      @@bunbunespresso8124 Thank you for your kind and fast response mate! I was reading/choosing a coffee machine and a grinder about 2 years before I pull a shot on Lelit MaraX and in the end I was kind of confused with the new “0 Xmode”. Thanks to you now getting even more anxious on delivery of that beauty :-)

      @bunbunespresso8124  Před rokem

    Brilliant vid, thank you! I have a MaraX V1. I want to buy the gicar for V2, could you possibly open yours up and let me know what exact software version is on the label on your gicar electronic card for me? Apparently it is V1.9 of software (confusingly when it for the V2 machine!). Thanks in advance!

  • @icewolfy1
    @icewolfy1 Před 2 lety +1

    Great video! Would you say the Mara X is an upgrade from Breville Barista Express? What I dislike about the BBE is that it has 54mm portafilter and the steam is very slow to turn on.

      @bunbunespresso8124  Před 2 lety +1

      I do not have the BBE but I've seen so many praises about it. If those you mentioned are hindering your joy of making a good cup, you may want to check out other machines to try out first before upgrading. I have no issue with steaming on my MaraX.
      It boils down to how you define upgrade. It could mean better technical function, or more enjoyable workflow, or better looks for some. Cheers! 😉

      FYI, the Dual Boiler has a 58mm portafilter, so just speaking personally that is the one I would rather compare with the Lelit. Also the price has come down a lot on it (~$850 new where I live). Tough decision :)

      Mara X is a definite upgrade. Another consideration is serviceability with the Lelit over the Breville, heat exchanger vs a single boiler.

    Quick Q on this machine Mara X V2. On Position 1 - X Mode Steam. Would the brew temp to be stable enough for me to make espresso, latte, then espresso. So 3 coffee in succession. My question is, would the brew head temp be stable enough between the 1st and 3rd espresso to have the consistency using the same bean and grinder setting? Thanks.
