The sheer level of defensiveness proves it and it's concerning that if Simon had gone anywhere and said the same thing there would have been the same reaction. I honestly never believed a single thing that people used to say with regards to Mourinho getting a hard time of it but now that he's at my club I've started to notice the framing that the media takes with certain things.

Is that why the narrative of spurs can certainly win the title is being portrayed? They have been level in points with Liverpool till just this Wednesday and yet spurs are in a great place under Jose and Liverpool are in a bad moment. So yeah let’s not chat shit, the media have been bigging up Tottenham as per usual and everyone and their dog has wanted Liverpool to fail. Because Liverpool failing means more clicks and views, and most neutral fans and ‘professionals’ of the sport do not want Liverpool to win the title. The only way they would concede is when Liverpool are far and away the better team, when clubs can still have a say on the title race we see how opposition played against city and how they played against Liverpool 2 seasons ago. Some teams would just give up against city whereas against Liverpool it was their cup final. Only reason mourinho has a bad reputation is because he created a bad reputation, it’s like a criminal, if you get caught stealing once or twice it’s a slap on the wrist, but if you do it 10 times, you go to jail. Mourinho has plenty of previous, way more than any other manager.

Actually Simon, you are confusing things because Liverpools front three are not exactly on it at the moment. In the first half alone, Liverpool made three good shooting opportunities and because they hit them straight at Loris, its largely being ignored. Then Mane missed by hitting the bar when he should have buried it. Liverpool should have been 3-0 up at half time and if they were no one would have batted an eyelid.
It was supposed to be Spurs front two that was on form, but only Son delivered with his one effort on goal. When this team clicks, and we haven't even seen Thiago yet, let me remind you, those chances will start to convert. Never mind we had some still largely inexperienced lads in that line up too with Jones and Williams. Jose ballsed up and he knows it, but thats because he can only play one way.

The reason he banged his chest an Anfield was because Chelsea asked liverpool to move the fixture to the Saturday because Chelsea had a semi final in the UCL. Sky agreed, all at Liverpool agreed except Rodgers. Had he have agreed Chelsea wouldn't have played the way they did and basically would have handed Liverpool the title.
