I’m a huge Beterbiev fan, the only video on my channel is him destroying everybody, BUT the main issue is the follow up confirmatory test’s weren’t conducted to determine if the testosterone levels were from endogenous or exogenous consumption. YES the test were negative, but the confirmatory tests were not conducted, so the test results were not conclusive enough to exonerate him. “Atypical” means higher than normal? So were those from endogenous or exogenous consumption? The punching power has always been there, it’s about the stamina, durability, and recovery after training.

Beterbiev has been doing this to people since the amateur days, it's not likes he's gone from a bang average puncher to one punch KO artist like Benn did. The reality that Bellew can't accept is that Smith isn't as good as he thinks he is. Yarde gave Artur a tough fight by beating him to the punch using his speed, that's simply why Artur looked better in this fight - easier style to deal with

I know it's almost incomprehensible for British people, but he has not drunk a single gram of alcohol in his life, not even beer, and never smoked a single cigarette; he has a very tight regimen and is extremely disciplined. If you add good genetics and a lot of time spent in the fresh air of highland Dagestan, you may see why his biological age might indeed be 29 rather than 39 as it is on paper.

Artur is the man in boxing, a real beast.
Beterbiev not only has an iron chin he also has a body made of hard leather. He was fast , bounced about the place and could punch without needing to be efficient against his opponent. It's very unusual.
GGG had a good chin and still carried strength but no one said it was unusual. One atypical finding and everyone’s now saying beterbievs similar attributes are unusual or suspect. Let’s look at the facts.
He’s had a lot of amateur fights and is well schooled and disciplined. Doesn’t go up in weight between fights, doesn’t drink, eats well and trains hard. Couple that with good genetics and a solid amateur pedigree and he’s going to be levels about most of his competitors. He’s a special fighter, they do come around he’s just not had the clout like others.
Anyone with a training background knows that Olympic lifting/strength training promotes testosterone and HGH, dense muscle fibre/bone density which shows why he’s so heavy handed and if you watch the few training videos beterbiev squats deadlifts and benches and is strong for his weight. Not impossible numbers either but he’s stronger than most light heavyweights by a lot. The test concluded he had higher than normal levels of test and HGH, but not enough to fail a test, and was later concluded they were not taken externally. The body naturally produces these hormones and it’s not super human to have high levels. Super human is failed levels.
Callum smith was out the wrong for 17 months and also got outboxed. Beterbiev has looked the same in all his fights, I wouldn’t say he looked any stronger than previous fights but he boxed better, and made it look easy. He was a heavy favourite before the fight so don’t know why there’s surprises there.
Lastly, VADA don’t call fighters and say we are going to test you on 3rd February 2023, they are completely randomised so are we now saying he’s been lucky to avoid failing a drug test for 18 plus years when he’s been a wrecking ball in all his pro fights? And before we start the whole “yeah but he was lucky because he was obviously coming off a cycle” again, it’s not like he knows when he’s going to get tested and if he was on stuff no doubt he would have already had previous controversy which he hasn’t. He fights the same in all fights so why are we all now saying it’s unusual.
Unfortunately smith isn’t on beterbievs level and it’s sad that someone who is more disciples than most boxers has dedicated his life to boxing is now getting called out because of an atypical finding.
I know Tony is as biased as they come towards English fighters and is a fellow Scouser but what is Simon's excuse for picking Callum to beat Artur? He has worse judgement than Haye when it comes to boxing outcomes.

Callum Smith was just being overhyped prior to this fight because of his win over George Grooves. Watching the fight against Canelo Alvarez confirmed that there are levels in elite fighters and certainly Callum is just not able to compete and win against the best… Callum performance on Saturday night was the best he could achieve but again it’s just wasn’t on the level of Artur Beterbiev… from round 2 you could see that there’s only going to be one outcome and that Callum was not going the distance…

Callum is not as good as Beterbeiv but Callum not fighting for 18 months did not help at all. Not fighting for less than half that time would be considered retired in the 1930s, yet is standard today. Look at Parker fighting 4 times in a year and beating Wilder with ease, being active is so important and has dropped dramatically in recent years.
Agree 90% of modern boxers have pathetic inactivity these days. What's shocking is it is getting worse as now kids in their mid 20s are having 2 fights a year! Like Shakur, Ryan Garcia, Teofimo etc. These youngsters should be having 4 fights a year minimum in their 20s

Bellew claims Callum’s body fat is around 6%, which makes him more ripped than Bruce Lee. I think we can all agree that Tony is talking out of his hoop, and not for the first time.

Zhilei Zhang will be 41 in May and looks to be another one who has got better with age. What seems to be on the decline is his endurance over 10 .rounds or more. This may affect Bieterbiev too if someone as good as Bivol can weather the first half of the fight storm and take him into the later rounds. Physically Bieterbiev did not look to me to have enhanced muscle mass for the fight against Smith - he looked much the same as always despite the reported elevated testosterone. I reckon he is just something of a freak of nature to be able to fight the way that he does at the age he is. But, if the fight lasts that long and Bivol is still competing, rounds 11 and 12 of their fight will be interesting!!

Smith is a frontrunner. He will look good if his typical style works but once it doesn't, he's in trouble. He doesn't have a second gear and in general is kinda a 1 trick pony (good trick tho). Another big issue in general is that he's not a good outside boxer (despite his height and reach advantage vs everyone else) and you can't fight Beterbiev on the inside. He literally lets guys close to him and fight them at close-mid range.
Callum Smith, a fairly average fighter anyway, has had about 20 mins of action against relative nobodies at LHW, so of course someone elite with a 100% KO ratio is going to make it look easy.
