You interview people for a living and you write articles for the papers. You don't have discussions with your mates or peers, you're hired to interview people, ask structured questions preplanned before you meet the guest, and you do research on the guest beforehand. That's a Journalist
At best if you want to call yourself a media personality or a Z list celebrity that would also suffice, but Journalism is at least a real media form and youve had some engaging conversations with respected sports personalities
