The reason I clicked on the video was because my thoughts were "Wait, isn't that puzzle ridiculously easy? No, it can't be, this is called the Devil puzzle, it can't be that one. What is this, then? Um...Okay. It IS that laughably easy puzzle. That's not a very accurate name."
This puzzle is has a bit of a difficult move. If you try to get the two hole lined up, there’s not enough room to fit the one curve over the other. But if you move the curve around the other one before you try to line up the holes, you have just enough room to remove the two. Unlike most puzzles like these, there’s an extra step of trying to get some extra room. The difficulty comes from underestimating it. I have given this puzzle to most people, and they aren’t able to quickly take it apart because of this.
I used this video but could not replicate his setup before taking it apart for a long time, eventually after spinning this pieces until it was closer, I made a MW sign, the left piece was the M, the right piece was the W, and using his steps I can disassemble the pieces blindfolded now from any position. So I’m stoked
+martie Pants Awesome! I like writing too! It's a cool hobby of mine, so I dedicate a lot of my time to reading and writing, I am actually writing tons of stories right now, but some are just rough ideas of what I want to create into something more structured. I should read more of your stories sometime.

I am 9 years old, my dad, grandpa and my grandpa's dad have been trying to solve this for 5 years! and I did it within 10 minutes before opening this tutorial.
I haven't had any HUGE issues with this lock yet! czcams.com/users/postUgkxfyHDlEqk6hqu9acdvK5NGzZsGKSokSbv It seems sturdy and like it will get the job done. I really like that it has a twisting lock feature to keep out dirt and debris. However, the mounting system is much too light for the lock, and continues to get loose/move around. It's mostly made of plastic parts, and I've had to tighten it a few times in the past week or so that I've had it. I'm worried that it's going to break off at some point while I'm riding. I'm considering just scrapping that part, but that would mean having to carry the heavy lock i my backpack and adding more weight. I wish I could have given this more stars, but without the mounting system, it's just another heavy lock that I have to cart around. UPDATE: Increased rating to 5 stars because the seller offered to provide a new lock and mounting system. Really appreciate the attention to customer service!!
Befor I watch this video, my teacher on the last day of school was packing up 4 the summer holidays, and he had one of these, it took me 3 days to complete (I only had about at least 10 minutes a day with it) then on the second last day of school I COMPLETED IT!! HE'LL YEAH
I rec'd this puzzle Christmas '16 and was tormented with confusion getting to the right hand version start point. Ultimately after manipulating the pieces I ended up with what I call the left handed side and awkwardly was able to use the LH technique to separate the pieces. Upon putting them back together I used the RH reassemble steps (to the right) and now I can only take them apart using the steps shown in dlwroe's video. If you can't manipulate the necessary piece into the right hand technique shown in the video try the LH side, but return the separated pieces to the right hand direction when reassembling. This might help - OR - I just got lucky.
I got this one myself. I stand half an hour at the last christmas market and tried to solve the puzzle. I was so pissed, that I bought it, to finish it at home. But I solved it 10 minutes later in the car, while driving home. xD
i am amazed by reading these comments, i figured it at first glance, theres no way its going to be solved without the two gaps going "onto" eachother, and this is pretty much the only way :S Evidently the puzzle is doing its job :>
i used to be able to do this is less then like 2 seconds (like 2 years ago) these days i cant even get it into the starting possition!.. can u plz make a vid showing how to get into starting position?
i got four pair of those puzzle pieces and one pair looks like that,, i did separate them when i was in high school, and i did it alone,, patience is what you need :)
ive had this hanayana or whatever puzzle for ages cus my parents thought it was good to give it to a 4 year old for his birthday. he is now 11 and has just finished the puzzle.
I'm guessing it's a case of "same puzzle, different guys making it". Like, there's multiple names for the 3x3x3 twisty puzzle (Rubik's Cube, VCube 3, Meffort's 3X3, ect.) because they're all from different manufacturers.
OH MY WORD I was trying to get it into the straying position then I dropped it and it got tangled-ish so I got frustrated and pulled on it slightly AND IT CAME APART!!! After like a year of trying
Start by taking one of them and putting it into the starting position. Keep that there and don't move it...then just move the other one around it until you can match the starting position in the video.
wow i had a collection of these when i was young.. but my mother throw it all away as I was 'wasting' money on 'key chains'... i looked it up online and I dont remember it being so expensive at school bookstore..
i have similar metal things one that looks like two 6s or 9s and another one with two circles already on and two circles that can detach and attach i just need to solve it
To all the people saying this puzzle is super easy, that doesn't warrant a dislike. If you already knew how to solve it, why click on the video?
I saw a bottle puzzle in my recommended for some reason . I opened it and here is where it brought me . didn't click it . there goes your theory .

Kitchen maiden81 your so stupid it’s called the devil puzzle because the parts with a gap are supposed to look like horns

This has baffeld me for years AND IT WAS THIS SIMPLE
I was in school and my friend took a bunch of these metal puzzles and it took a few minutes to solve each one . This was one of the ones he took out
I am 9 years old, my dad, grandpa and my grandpa's dad have been trying to solve this for 5 years! and I did it within 10 minutes before opening this tutorial.
The "putting it back" part is actally more complicated. There are two ways to reassemble it, each leading to a different solution.
