A little about me and this channel:
My name is James Aubrey IV and I just recently graduated college from Iowa State University. After college I decided to take a leap of faith. So I moved to San Diego California to pursue my passion for videography/ CZcams. Overall I'm a pretty chill person, outside of CZcams I like to longboard, dance, play video games, lift weights and hangout with my friends. I know that success on CZcams won't happen overnight but I'm willing to stay patient and put in the work to try to prefect my craft daily. This CZcams channel will be centered around my life after college. You will be able to see all of the ups and downs on my journey to success. So if you like the content make sure you subscribe so you can be apart of the Rome Life Family. (Let's build our own personal Rome's together.)
What is the Rome Life ? And What does it mean to be apart of it?
Rome Life is something I started during my Sophomore year of high school (one of the worst times in my life) it started off as me documenting my journey to recovery from my shoulder surgery but eventually it turned into a platform that I could use to encourage myself as well as others to chase our dreams.
Rome Life isn't just a saying it's a way of life and for the people who want to be apart of it have to realize that. Rome wasn't built in a day it took a lot of handwork time and most importantly patience. So you can't expect your dreams to be any different
This is a reaction video used to educated and give my feedback on the song and artist

Barry's voice made that sound COOL...
HOW CAN YOU MEND A BROKEN HEART ???? incredible song
Again... their harmony was untouchable... love love love
One of my favorite songs by them
Love all their music, but this is one of my favorites of their songs.
The BeeGees have been going for fifty years . I can not think of any other band that changed their music with the times like these guys .They still and forever will always be . Barry is still writing songs and singing .Unfortunately we lost four of the BeeGees to soon Rest In Peace.
And they still sounded uniquely them
Lost 3 of the Bee Gees Barry's still alive!
They had hit after hit after hit and it was so much fun to dance to their music in the 70s. I feel so blessed to have grown up at that time. These guys were my all time favorite.
The BeeGees are exceptional; this is such an awesome song; their voices blend; they will never disappoint you
From 75 on ...Nights on Broadway, Fannie be Tender with my Love, and Too much Heaven.
Lol late 50s actually
Bee Gees “how can you mend a broken heart” ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Al Green = Definitive version :-)
Elvis Presley. Gospel Medley 68 special....
EoS
Bee gees are the best!!!
The Bee Gees were very unique, they will never be another group like it.
The summer this was released I was 10; I had the 45 rpm of this and played it over and over and over - so much so that my parents refer to that as “The Summer of Tragedy” 😂 I still love it!
Great story 😁
I LOVE it!!! 🤣🤣
I did the same🤣🤣🤣🤣such a wonderful band and wonderful guys❤️❤️❤️love them forever💕💕💕
Oh wow, I was 10 in 1998 when the Steps cover came out and it was later in the year so summer was just starting (in New Zealand). As bee gees fans since the 60s, my parents redirected me to the original version they had on CD and I played it on repeat all that summer 😂. History repeats!
I guess we are same age! But I listened Tragedy not in 1979 when it was released, but bit later. I was mesmerized and did the same, listened again and again the whole Spirits album! All songs on that album just increadible, but Tragedy is just a gem!
GO ALL THE WAY back to 1968 to I'VE GOT TO GET A MESSAGE TO YOU and start there and I challenge you to find a song that does not evoke an emotion. YOU DON'T LISTEN to the BeeGees you feel them. I have felt them on the disco dance floor (yes I am that old) and watched my partner feel it too.
AGREE....i did a separate comment as well.
Go back even further! - Blowing In The Wind (1963) - Bee Gees
You like Disco, I dare you to listen to Barry Manilow Copacabana.
Agree- also try New York Mining Disaster by the Brothers Gibb. Cool story on how this song was written by them.
@@fiddiehacked Where can I read about the story behind NY Mining Disaster?
I was raising 3 kids when the Bee Gees were popular, and their music could get me out of the baby blues immediately!!!
Listening to the BeeGees got me through all my treatments for breast cancer was great to introduce the nurses taking care of me to the music of the Beegees, almost all are now Beegees fans.
Born in the wrong era!!!! You need a time machine to transport you to the 70's!!! Magical time for music!!!💜🎵🎶🎼😊🤟 They made life bearable as a teenager!!!
GOAT so many great songs who doesn’t like them no one
Born in 1961. The Bee Gees were THE group of my teen years. Thrilled that you like them as much as I do!
It makes me happy to see anyone in your generation loving our music!! Some music transcends time because ITS JUST GOOD MUSIC!! Thanks, young man, for bridging the generation gap!❤️❤️❤️
Me too. 61 was a good year!
My dad was born the same year but never got into them. I learned to love them on my own but I was also influenced by my moms taste in music.
Me too!
Thing is I didnt fully appreciate them when I was young because we were into all the cool music at the time . But as I got older I realised just how incredible they were. Now I cant get enough!
I think you would love watching the video where they showed the recording of this song! It’s amazing the things they had to do to get the sounds they wanted. It took 8 minutes to write the lyrics and one time singing the song to recording it! No rehearsal before recording the song, they just did it! These 3 brothers were born with a true gift!
I'm sitting here grinning from ear to ear watching your reactions to this group. Virtually every single song of there's is a classic across the globe. Glad you love their music so much.
Your reaction is just amazing👍👍👍👍🤩🤩🤩 The Bee Gees are unique, Kings of the Kings❤️❤️😍😍😍
I hear you...i luv them they are the best EVER😍
If you haven't already Emotion by the Bee Gees. You won't regret it.
I’m so happy you love the Bee Gees so much. ❤️
EDIT: I just learned that they wrote this and Too Much Heaven in the very same afternoon!!!
I believe you, but it's still hard to believe.
Too Much Heaven was released 42 years ago today 😊
AND a hit for Andy as well that day.
Yep….& Andy’s Shadow Dancing!!! Barry said on Piers Morgan special in 2017 that they’d take “a pill”…..& were good to go for 8-10 hours(if you know what I mean🤔)!!
They wrote "Too Much Heaven" "Tragedy" and "Shadow Dancing" (for baby brother Andy) all in the same afternoon....The Bee Gees were POWER HOUSES when it came to writing, singing and producing.
You are LOVING the Bee Gees! Its infectious
Watching this reaction again. Just puts me in a great mood. Makes me want to move. And yepp. They ARE allergic to making bad music. Great insight
They're so good because they have music in their blood, extra good because siblings' voices are best together.
Songs I suggest by the Bee Gees (chronologically): To Love Somebody, Nights On Broadway, You Win Again, and Alone.
When something unfortunate happens when I'm with my friends, I start singing Tragedy . It's a good song and expresses whats happening.
It is because they have the gift of music that converts music to magic. ❣️❣️
Loved your reaction!!!! If u get a chance react to bee gees song (You Should Be Dancing). Trust me it will be hard to sit down and do it.
Barry has an Amazing voice
Fanny Be Tender With My Love, is another great one by the BeeGees
Thats my favorite from them
The b side was called 'Love be tender with my fanny'...
yes, definitely want to see his reaction, my eyes popped out of my head the first time I heard it reach the climax. Very beautifully presented song.
My favorite! Great choice!
Yep, awesome song.
They don’t know how to make a bad song. Pure Hit Makers!!!
I imagine most Bee Gees fans can tell you that the "explosion" at 6:56 is Barry making the noise in the microphone. There's a cool video about the recording of this song.
burned out a couple of these guys tapes in the 90s when i and all my friends were huge metal heads in public, had no idea thats badass.
EDIT i should say they were a guilt pleasure when i was at home.
There is a “Making of Tragedy” video showing The Bee Gees in studio and the process they go through when recording a song. It is a great inside look at the guys and their personalities. It would also be a great video for a reaction from you.
Definitely!
I absolutely love the 'Making of Tragedy', i have watched it loads, including just now again. They are so funny, talented and charismatic...
I loved this video too!
That’s a good video. Shows some of their humor and how Barry made the explosion sound was really funny. It also blows me away on how they finish writing the lyrics and just walk in and start singing the track. Hell, the music starts before Barry even gets into the studio!
that "explosion" was caused by Barry making a noise into the mic and then amplifying it several times...what genius
My generation is pleased to hand down our music to younger ears.
Three Musical Geniuses whose talents we got to enjoy for close to 50 years... They became true Legends - and their music will be played for generations to come...
(If You haven't already, check out "New York Mining Disaster", "To Love Somebody", "Words", "Massachusetts" "Nights On Broadway", "One", "Wish You Were Here" and "For Whom The Bell Tolls".)
These three brothers musically adapted to each passing decade - no other group will ever match these guys...💖💖💖
I love tragedy . I agree with you wholeheartedly. I can be in the worst mood ever and I listen to Bee Gees music and it just changes my attitude and puts a smile on my face I don't know what it is it just hits me somewhere deep inside. I love the Bee Gees
For something really different listen to words. It's barry's signature song.
They were, are and will always be a phenomenon 🎶
JIVE TALKIN’!! it’s grooves!! 🎶👍🏼❤️
They are good because they are The Bee Gees! Nights on Broadway is another great song by them. 💕💕
Nights on Broadway is a must!
FANNY BE TINDER WITH MY LOVE!!! One of their very, very best. I dare anyone to not like and be moved by this song Love the Bee Gees❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹
They were even better songwriters than performers. They had great vocals and harmonizing.
"Love You Inside and Out" - Bee Gees
You just made my day!!! I can't stop smiling. This song came out the year I graduated from high school. I remember the first time I heard it; I was driving home after school in my 1963 VW bug, windows down, big hair blowing in the wind and this premiered on the radio.... It stole my heart very first listen. It never gets old. Play on!!
You’re exactly right. They soothe your souls!!
I was 5 when Saturday Night Fever came out and I became a big Bee Gees fan. THis was my favorite of their songs.
I agree once I started learning about them and their music i can't stop. They were very talented and could do anything.
I highly recommend “How Can You Mend A Broken Heart” by The Bee Gees. One of their big pre disco hits. So much emotion in that one
One of my favourites from when they were much younger 👍🏻 lovely song ♥️
Not disco💃🏼; it’s a ballad, But it’s still a wonderful song 🎶 .
My all time favorite song from the Bee Gees!
Jive Talkin!! You will rock rock rock to it!
The BeeGees were a total masterpiece
Nights on Broadway is one of my top five from them
Love this one, too. But then, the Bee Gees are MY favorite artists of all time. They were magic! I hope you'll listen to their song "Emotion." It was actually recorded first by Samantha Sang, but they wrote, and then later, recorded it, themselves. BEAUTIFUL! LOVED your reaction, Bro!
Like you said, "If it's a Bee Gee's song, you already know.." Have you reacted to "Jive Talkin'?" If not..it's a MUST!!!
I just love your reactions! You're so animated. So happy to see you've found my music. Have you heard " Fanny Be Tender?" Great song. The Bee Gees never made a bad song. Ever. Enjoy!
Nights on Broadway
..by Bee Gees.the BOMB💣💥💥💥🎼🎵🎶🎸💥❤
I still have the original album LP from the 70’s !! 🤩
Hahahaha! “They’re allergic to making bad music”. That was the best comment, and SO true!
My favorite Bee Gees song!
"Nights on Broadway" NEXT PLEASE!!!!!
Link here: czcams.com/video/bqlbFA0qOoA/video.html
Yes, " NIGHTS ON BROADWAY" all the way!
Excellent suggestion.👍
YES!!
One of the best!!!!!
Heck yeah!!!
Barry is one of the last class act entertainers left! I miss the crazy insane talent blessed from heaven above! God bless you for reacting to them.
The beegees career spanned FIVE decades! I would love to see you react to some music from one of their other periods... Like "Spicks and Specks" which was recorded when they were teenagers! Or "To Love Somebody" written by Barry for Otis Redding who sadly didnt live to record it.... Or listen to "This is where I came in" recorded in 2001 not long before Morris' death. I could name maybe 50 songs that you NEED to hear. You need to hear Barry's non-falsetto voice. Or Robbin's soul piercing voice on "I cant see nobody" (midnight special version) OMG I adore how much you are enjoying their dance music but they are so SO much more. m.czcams.com/video/CouKuIk_P0s/video.html
The BeeGees are exceptional; their voices all blend; the arrangement is amazng; BeeGees don't disappoint
Nights On Broadway is a really good song by them!
The explosion sound towards the middle of the song was Barrys voice. He did that sound himself!!!
Bee Gees R my WORLD 🌎😘
This song went to number 1 twice! The first time for 2 weeks, it got knocked out for a week and then went back to number 1 for a week.
Thanks. I did not know that.
Lonely days lonely nights Bee Gees. Great great song pre disco.
I don’t know why it’s so fun to watch you dancing to these guys. You’re just stinkin CUTE about it!
Absolutely love your channel some more bee gees songs you wit love kiss of life wish you were here and the only love love your vibes x
Close my eyes and 40 years melts away
danced to this a ton on the lighted dance floors, back in the day
To Love Somebody. 💕 Many artists have covered it bc it’s AMAZING 🤩!!
Bee Gees "I Stated a Joke"
Quicksilver Messenger Service
"What about Me"
I LOVE HOW YOU DESCRIBE THE BEEGEES, You get it 🥰
Love your soul - energy! God bless! Great reaction!
1-2 who agree with you??! try 200 million (world wide records sold) plus!!! 😂💓💓 I’m on a binge of beegees reactions bc I’m insatiable for them and so are the rest of us millennials for REAL FRIGGIN MUSIC
Another song that has this vibe, but not the Bee Gees, is "What a Feeling" by Irene Cara. Now I gotta go listen to it.
And Gloria by Laura Branigan
Love this song!!!!
I was obsessed with this song in my childhood, this is such a great song. Awesome band.
Ty for your reaction...luved it ..
Bee Gees!!!!!❤️👍💖💕
My mom is a person of the Disco era and she shared with me all her music growing up so I know the Bee Gee's and all their songs. And this song is my most FAVORITE of theirs. :-D
magic group...just so special
Try "words" "to love somebody " paying the price of love" "fanny" "one " "love you inside out " "you win again " "I gotta get a message to you " "man in the middle " "this is where I came in " "how do you mend a broken heart " try some of these, there are sooooo many. Plus, Robin and Barry made solo albums.
Yes yes yes!!!!! Nobody ever mentions "this is where I came in" it didnt have huge commercial success but it's among my favorites
@@juliefox1743 i think it was because it was their next step forward into or toward what was becoming popular at that time. So, not so many people expected it. It's part of what always made them great, they tried different things while still being true to themselves.
I agree. They were never confined by genre. I always said that if you took a recording of "this is where i came in" and brought it to a progressive/alternative type radio station at the time without the name beegees on it that the program manager would play the shit out of that song.
Before starting the video I heard tragedy I said "he doesn't know what he is in for " amazing song top 10 for me. 3:17 😂😂😂😂
Billy Idol - Rebel Yell
I'm surprised that young people today don't know the greats before their time. I knew the music my parents listened to and still love it and then my daughter to this day still play all the songs from my youth and that means we know a lot of great bands. The British had the greatest bands in the 60's and 70's Like the Sweet and Slade and a lot of great glam rock bands. I never listen to modern music with all their things they use to make it sound better I like real voices and now bands don't play instruments they - DANCE. There is nothing like the guitars in a band. Thankfully I can find all this music on CZcams and be happy I lived at an age with really great music. Bee Gees were great and you went to the disco and danced like John Travolta did in the movie,
Andy Gibb - Shadow Dancing or I Just Want to Be Your Everything. He is their little brother and they do the back ups. You will LOVE!! 🔥🔥🔥💃💃💃
Love this song 🔥 so glad my mom introduced me to so many artists but especially ones from the 70's. Such a good era.
This track is one of my favorites as well. I also like "Nights On Broadway."
I am with you on that, they speak directly to my soul too. Bee Gees, Elvis Presley, Smokey Robinson... 💛 Thanks for the video!
I grew up when the Bee Gees were popular. This makes me feel so good that you love them!
Another classic music from my generation
I have loved them since the 70s
I love the Bee Gees
