Seeing young people love the Bee Gees as much as we that grew up with them do makes my heart smile.
ikr totally agree
Only us old 60’s somethings can really appreciate what we had back in the day when the likes of The Bee Gee’s were around and giving us youngsters the music we danced to every weekend at the local disco.
Bee Gees music will go on forever because of their talented gifts. Not only can they sing they wrote all of their own music .
BeeGees are KINGS! Nobody could harmonize like the BeeGees. ❤ I love Disco and I love the 70s.
The Bee Gees are the masters of their game 👍🏻 second to none ♥️
Their Greatest Hits is a quad album with like 55 songs on it…outrageous!
Love BeeGees Tragedy, thanks George and Patrick 2/8/23
The fact that they're just insanely talented songwriters with 1 hundred songs that they wrote for themselves as well as other artists being in the top 10 and their diversity is why their music has lasted over 7 decades. Their brother Andy Gibb was an amazing singer songwriter as well. He died too soon in 1988 at the age of 30. Mo died in 2003 and Robin in 2012. They are by far the most talented musical family in the history of music. RIP Andy, Mo and Robin.
Gorge and Patrick, I hope Barry can see how much you enjoy BeeGees music, I enjoy watching you two enjoy the BeeGees 1/8/23
George is my favourite Barry Gibb fan boy. The look on his face when Barry starts his falsetto always makes me grin.
Every Bee Gees song is great! Glad you guys are enjoying them!
Harmonies this tight are so difficult....but they made it look easy. That high in the range.....so glad they wrote songs. Those voices are too good not to be heard....so glad you’re enjoying them. Thanks for your reactions.😎
This song could go on FOREVER!!
Get that "DUDE" on the right on a dance floor! He is feeling the pure talent of the Bee Gees!
Disco heaven…the octaves and harmonies are tops.Their best one by me.
Let´s go for "Cryin´everyday", one of the best performances of these Gods !!!
Welcome to the world of the Bee Gees! You've opened the door to greatness. Keep listening to their music and enjoy the ride!! Hang on guys!! 💖💖💖
Guys, I love your reactions to Bee Gees! I come back to your reactions from time to time just to watch you guys LOVE my favorite group of all time! Your reactions are so much fun to watch. ❤️
They have more great songs than you can count.😊
You guys should watch the making of the song Tragedy. You'll be amazed at how they made the explosion sound.
I’ve always adored the BeeGees so it gives me so much joy watching you guys loving this song. Pure unadulterated joy!
I won tickets on a radio station to see them in 1979. We were late to the show because we got lost(prior to GPS). We walked in as this song started. The concert was phenomenal!
45 years ago, and still takes me back to that year of 1979 when I was 19, my favorite year of music!!
LOL "I couldn't pay attention to the lyrics,,," I wish I could experience this again for the first time too.
They have over 2000 songs in their music catalog.....that's a hell of songs. They are the best.....none better than the Bee Gees.
Oh the arrangement, textures, production are sublime
Have you heard them sing too much heaven? Or Fanny be tender with my love? Or love you inside and out? These guys are angels I was so blessed to be able to see them in 1978.
They have been around since the 60s they are the most successful band in my opinion one that has lasted 40 years❤️
I adore the two of you. George always looks so goddamned happy to be alive and Patrick is more reserved, but still very happy to be there!
I swear, your reactions make these videos even better. Thanks for doing this.
Fantastic song, but powerful meaning about emotional breakdown and depression. The lyrics are powerful if you listen to them
Fanny Be Tender With My Love.....That's the next one for you guys to sample! An absolute masterpiece
you have to watch the official video for this song to really appreciate all 3 of these amazing men!
Love 💕 your reactions to this, you have a whole lot more to listen to as the Bee Gees are the greatest band ever 🤩 there talent is huge all three of them, there will never be a group like them ever again 😍
As a father of adult twin sons I love watching you two
The Explosion sound was made by Barry Gibb cupping the Microfone and using his voice to make the sound. The Bee Gees discovered their Falsetta's in Nights on Broadway. The Producer asked if they could make a screaming sound or sound excited. The Bee Gees kept Harmonizing Higher and Higher. They discovered all had the Falsetta' s but Barry could do it longest.
In a Interview a month or so ago Barry Gibb said none of the Bee Gees could read music. He said he just found out notes had numbers. He said they never had training. They did not know that they were not suppose to be able to harmonize at certain levels. He said if they heard a sound they would match it or if One Brother made a sound the others would match it, He found out they wrote songs backwards from most Artists. Barry Gibb said the Bee Gees would Do the Music first and then write the Lyrics to fit the sound. He said they were very spontaneous.
Yes Barry made the explosion
I recently watched a video of them recording this record, which showed how they made the explosion sound. I also saw Barry's interview discussing their process. Isn't it great to learn about the behind-the-scenes?
Jeff Lynne of ELO also writes the music first then writes the words to fit.
I can be in the worst mood in the world and I put on the Bee Gees and they just make me dance and dance and I am all so in a completely different head space. I just love them!
Their music still makes me dance!… and I’m 65 years old 😊❤
Love your reactions, but this is my favorite this far. Keep ‘em coming guys! 🤩
I remember when I was a kid the bee gees had 3 songs in the top 5 at the same time, love it !!!!
I think you guys would enjoy their first known performance ever! czcams.com/video/aQrvo50eTrg/video.html
I think all the bee gees fans would love to see your reaction to their beginnings! You guys are great!
Tragedy is one of our favourite Bee gees songs, but after that, there are so many...
Everything they do is a MASTERPIECE!!!!!
I have loved the Bee Gees since the early 70’s.
Best group ever. They are MAGIC!
Play snd react to the song I SURRENDER from 1997
There are so many brilliant songs. They wrote this song in the same afternoon that they wrote Too much Heaven. They never learned to read or write music and would sing the parts to others to convert. Geniuses. Love your reactions.
I'm a 55 year old woman, who is a Bee Gees fanatic!!!!! You're just getting started down the Bee Gees road. They have so many, many, songs. The brother Gibbs, our musical geniuses!!!!!! You think they're good now , you got many songs to go through.
Anything you play by the Bee Gees gets my attention! Barry's over the top falsetto wasn't even realized until 1975. Then after that, the songs really started showcasing his high voice. Listen to "Nights on Broadway". Thanks!! I'm a big fan of the Bee Gees, and you gents.❤😉
The Bee Gees were a hit and very well known here in the UK long before Saturday Night Fever in the US.. we were all buying their hits ( All The original recordings In The Sat Night Movie Hits album. ) long before the movie was ever even thought of. They were asked if they could do disco songs for the movie and lo and be hold they said hmm we think we already have the songs your looking for.....So dont say they were never popular or made hits before the US asked them to do the movie soundtracks... I'm in my 70's and lived it....it sounds what your typing is something you found on the internet.....
@@oldschool72 You misunderstood what I said. The Bee Gees have been cranking out hits since the 60's. All I meant was that Barry was unaware he could even sing that high, that had always been Robin's part. It's in the new Documentary. Excellent.✌
@@lisamorrison2149 Yep….it’s obvious exactly what you were saying🤷♀️!
wasnt it Maurice with the high voice?
This or nights on Broadway is my favorite, hard decision.
My all-time favourite live performance by the Bee Gees is from 1973, "I Can't See Nobody" (live on Midnight Special). Robyn sings lead vocals on this one, his voice is simply incredible.
I just watched the documentary and Barry made the explosion sound with his mouth!
There AREN'T words to say how much I LOVE this group and ALL their songs!! ❤💋
NEXT: Do - "Alone" or "Kiss of Life"
Between 1977 and 1979 The Bee Gees had six consecutive Number One Hits in the U.S.Sometimes even 5/10 on the Billboard Hitlist (because they also composed for other artists)
Try Run To Me or How Can You Mend A Broken Heart for early Bee Gees.
The memories......
Tragedy, about the explosion: you can see how the Bee gees came up with the idea and how Barry Gibb created it himself with his voice in the film :
Bee Gees - Recording "Tragedy" in Criteria Studios 1979 [Reelin' In The Years Archives]
You're correct this music is timeless. Quality music will endure.
Yes. This is the right reaction. 😀
The Bee Gees had nine singles reach number one on the Hot 100 chart - which, according to billboard puts them in third place for the most number ones in history, after the Beatles and the Supremes, and Tragedy was one of the 9. That doesn't include numerous No 1 hits written for other singers, Andy had 3 No 1 hits also written by the Brothers and Andy.
I have to say those records behind you are perfectly arranged! It is fun watching you react to these fabulous
Songs which are unequalled by anybody. Enjoy yourselves
You have to react to "you should be dancing ".
All three have massive vocal range. You see this especially on Fanny be tender with my love, Wind of change(1979) , Nights on Broadway (1975 midnight special) and You should be dancing ❤❤❤❤
BeeGees wrote this song and to much Heaven all in one day.
They wrote at least 1000 songs, released 22 albums, had more than 20 number one hits. You could spend weeks listening and will enjoy every single one should you listen to more.
I was manager of a disco bar and this song was a nightly regular.
I would recommend 'You Win Again' by them as well as everything else they wrote for themselves or other artists.
My all time favorite..Bee Gees…
They were #1 in the disco era, and many of their songs still stand like this. Please react to "Saturday night fever" + "Stayin Alive"
If you have ever seen an interview by Barry Gibb it's just so interesting. He has a pretty deep speaking voice.
Bee Gees "Tragedy- the making of" is awesome! It literally shows them in studio recording this song. And, yes, they are using their natural voices.
I'm old enough to be your granny. Thanks for stirring up all these memories !
Sir Barry Gibb is in the Book of Guness for being a legendary songwriter and composer. Bee Gees are incomparable and legends. They can switch tones and tunes.
This being your favorite Bee Gees song shows your good taste in music. I love it too.
This is probably my second favorite Bee Gees song. Number one without question is Words.
Nunca mais ouviremos vozes tão perfeitas, divinas, maravilhosas e harmônicas como essas. Amo, amo, amo demais desde a minha infância! Bee Gees The Best! From Paquetá Island - Rio de Janeiro - RJ - Brazil!!✨✨✨✨💖💖💖💖🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Epic song.
Hey guys .. ah yeah .. Bee Gees .. great choice. Another couple to check out would be "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart" OR "Jive Talking". Thnx guys .. peace out ✌🏼🤘🏼💞
I remember buying the LP (vinyl!) when it first came out, years ago!! I was a teenager then and ADORED Tragedy, excellent song, music superb, Barry, Robin & Maurice - the best!!!
The biggest hit by the Bee Gees in the USA is called Night Fever. It is from the motion picture soundtrack Saturday Night Fever. Night Fever spent 8 un consecutive weeks at #1 in 1978 and was the biggest hit of the 11 successful singles released from the soundtrack, 7 of them by the Bee Gees.
Would love to hear you react to their earlier songs from the 60's... Only the Lonely, Words, I Started a Joke...
When you're married for 36 years and he leaves and walks out the door... it's a tragedy but when I listen to this and many other songs of the BG's I feel enlightened and strong. Thank you for presenting this one
Also listen to: How can you ment a broken heart, and. Words, both great songs of the Bee Gees.
Honestly they have Hundreds, they wrote so many for other great artists. Just behind the Beatles, and that's saying something.
Bee Gees are the Greatests😍😍😍😍
They are way better than the beatles.
Bee gees are better than Beatles and bugs😜
If you haven’t already, you need to watch the Bee Gees video of the making of Tragedy The Video. Actually see Barry at the microphone with his hands over it making the explosion noise. It’s really awesome.
Love your reactions, Bee Gees "Jive Talkin" different
I'm a new subscriber and I love all your videos. I saw the Bee Gees in concert in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania in 1979. Such great memories. They are an amazing band.
You guys are so much fun! 🥰👍💕
They have so many amazing songs that it's hard to choose a favorite, but check out Love You Inside Out.
The explosion sound you just spoke of was Barry cupping his hands together in front of the microphone and making a loud blowing noise. should watch the making of it it’s brilliant
I enjoy YOUR joy....
The Bee Gees have literally dozens of mind-blowing songs like this one. They are riding high in my top five groups of all-time. Check them out singing "Words" on The Ed Sullivan Show. ✌️
Brilliant memories from the late 70s
Barry can hit those notes!!!! I love this!!!!! Beautiful!!!!
This is a good favorite! I love it too! Please do more BeeGees songs!❤
You MUST watch the new Documentary "How Do You Mend A Broken Heart".. it's so well produced, and it explains everything about the Brothers Gibb.
Where can you see it?
@@steveullrich7737 HBO
@@Zlata1313 thanks I'll have to check it out
@steve urlich Find the documentary "This is where I came in" on you tube, which describes their childhood, career and relationships in more detail. I’m not thrilled with the hbo documentary at all, first because most of their interviews were taken from this one from 2001, then a lot of interviews with people talking about the gibb brothers. Much, much better and more meaningful is the 2001 documentary, which was made when their last album of the same name came out. By the way, great album, underrated.
@@lucijarabrenovic201 thanks, I'll look that one up.
How Can You Mend a Broken Heart is my favorite Bee Gees song but they're all really really good
The explosion sound was made by Barry cupping his hands around the mic and blowing air onto it. There's a video showing how he came up with the idea. 🤭
Plenty!!!!!
They have hundreds, all hits!!!
I can't believe that I watch your videos first thing in the morning with my cup of coffee. You make me smile 😊
I just love this Bee Gees song - it's called Tragedy but it's so upbeat and you can't help dancing to it! They were amazing and created such wonderful songs. Maybe another song from Saturday Night Fever next guys? It is very sad to think that only Barry Gibb is left and the others have gone - it must be very hard for him. By the way guys, I hope you found my comment on Metallica Fade to Black Live video interesting. Sorry if it was a bit long! Cheers. Great reaction as always - the Bee Gees are a real favourite!
Anything from Saturday Night Fever is fire!
Please check out some of their early stuff.
Fannie
To Love Somebody
How Can you Mend a Broken Heart.
He has a sister that's still alive but yes as far as the brothers Gibbs the last one
The brother who is still alive is the oldest, Barry....Maurice died in 2003 and his twin Robin died in 2012. Their youngest brother died in 1988, he had just turned 30.....
Love you inside and out another great hit from this album and of course Too much heaven
bee gees love you inside out
The Bee Gees wrote "Tragedy", "Too Much Heaven" and the #1 hit, "Shadow Dancing" for their baby brother Andy...all in ONE DAY!
Would love to see you react to Barrys 2016 song, "Home Truth Song". His son Stephen plays guitar and is standing to Barrys right. It is a song about him looking back on his life and where it has taken him. It is from his album, "In The Now".
czcams.com/video/RDdG1bCLveE/video.html
Not sure if this is true or not, but these songs were written in one day after a 3 day cocaine binge, at least thats what I heard years ago.
@@allisterfiend_2112 lol! Could be, Barry's version of events may be sanitized... he claims amphetamines! lol!
