LC was leaving as Kristin was being welcomed in by the cast, LC and Kristin were both wearing blue to stand out from everyone to show that they're now on the same level in the show, and then they have Kristin catch the bouquet not to be the one to marry next, but to symbolize that she's the next in line as the main character now

I’ve always said even back then as a young teenager, Heidi had no identity. she took on spencers identity and she’s so embedded in it now that’s why their marriage has lasted this long and I really do hope and pray that somewhere in there she has happiness

The most sad wedding to ever be aired on TV. Don't give a damn about the fact that they're still together. Heidi was lovely and kind and if she'd met a better man there wouldn't of needed to be any hurt between anyone of her family or friends. This marriage ruined 2 families and countless friendships over the past decade. She deserved better but never knew it and now she's just as bad as he is.

I love the exit of LC juxtaposed with the intro to Kristin right down to the same colored outfit signifying to the audience that Kristin is the new LC of the show. I love the way they did the intro of Kristin being, "She introduced Spencer and Heidi....there's our story's beginning!"

Heidi & Spencer 1st attempt getting married was when they eloped in Mexico, but it wasn't legal in the US. The 2nd attempt was when they went to the courthouse, but that wasn't what Heidi really wanted. So the 3rd and final attempt was the ceremony.
